We have the best left back in the world, 2 of the best centre backs n the world, and an ever improving right back too.

Ferdinands not up for it, johnson is quick which is good but he has been turned inside out everytime I've seen someone running at him, coles ok...just, and as for the goalkeppers..... Its a decent defence I guess (being generous), but thats not good enough when you're playing spain, brazil etc....

Defence is good enough. It's ludicrous to say our back four is not up for it. Even in the past when we were shite, we could always count on having a pretty good defensive unit. Not the best, but good enough. It's the goal keeping position that worries me + up front as well cos Heskey won't be up for the task at the WC.

We've not played anyone any good yet, oh no I was wrong, holland are pretty good, 2 goals conceaded, johnson turned every which way but loose. Anyone its opinion, I guess we'll find out wont we.

You're only English when you choose to be, so I couldn't care less what you think really. We have one of the best defences in the world.

Excellent on paper but Rio really isn't looking good and Johnson is an attacking threat for both teams whenever i watch him. 4 or 5 good keepers but none brilliant. that said if rio switches on and johnson gets a little more discipline in his game, we've probably the best back 4 in the world.
