Corky Posted 10 October 2009 Posted 10 October 2009 Ferdinands not up for it, johnson is quick which is good but he has been turned inside out everytime I've seen someone running at him, coles ok...just, and as for the goalkeppers.....Its a decent defence I guess (being generous), but thats not good enough when you're playing spain, brazil etc.... We haven't played Spain, Brazil etc so it's all hypothetical. One bad game against one nation doesn't mean there's definitely going to be a repeat against another.

True but I can't really understand why anyone would say our defence is shite when the reality is that there are no better. Now people will laugh when they read that but I'd like to know which teams have better defences?

Rio's been struggling with an injury since the back end of last season now and is only just playing regularly again. With a decent season under his belt I think he'll do ok.

Matt Posted 10 October 2009 Posted 10 October 2009 I've gotta say the defence is our weak link - Despite having a 100% record prior to tonight can anyone say they have been confident about the defence? I'd like to see how many goals we have conceded over a X amount of games, and how many goals have been conceded due to defensive fuk up's, I'd imagine the majority have. Rio being the main offender.
