Rohan Ricketts released by Spurs. Probably going to Wolves I would imagine though.

I would definitely like him to come, but don't think it will happen. :(

Leicester have made an offer to sign Celtic goalkeeper Rab Douglas.

Douglas is out of contract in the summer and as yet no new deal has been offered to the Scotland goalkeeper.

Foxes boss Craig Levein is on the look-out for a new goalkeeper after letting Ian Walker leave the club and he has made Douglas his top target.

Levein is waiting to see if Douglas will accept his offer to move to The Walkers Stadium.

"We've spoken to Rab and Celtic know all about our discussions," said Levein.

"We've made him an offer and he's considering it.

"There is no rush but obviously I'm hoping he'll decide to join us as he is someone I'd love to have at the club.

"He's had his ups and downs but Rab is an excellent keeper.

"He's vastly experienced and wouldn't be fazed by playing in front of 30,000 fans at Leicester."

Levein is also hoping to sign Celtic's versatile star Momo Sylla after he impressed on trial at the club.

Sylla still has one-year to run on his contract and Levein insists a deal for the African could be more difficult.

"That's more complex because, unlike Rab, Momo is still under contract with Celtic for next season," added Levein.

Meanwhile, former Leicester defender Nikos Dabizas has revealed he has set his sights on a move to Italy.

The Greek international was released by the club at the end of the season and he revealed that he has a couple of offers from Italy.

"I have accepted what Craig Levein has said to me and now it is time for me to make the next move," said Dabizas.

"I would like to go to Italy and I think that there may be one or two possibilities for me to move there."

Thought this might be worth looking at for all those who have had Matt Jansen targeted as a possble signing for Leicester:

Jansen to decide Blackburn future

Blackburn striker Matt Jansen is set to play on a pay-as-you-play deal as he determines whether he wants to carry on his career in football.

The 27-yaer-old, who was involved in a serious road accident three years ago, is currently on a break from the game.

"He was struggling to cope with the demands and the pressure of the game," Blackburn boss Mark Hughes told BBC Radio Lancashire.

Hughes also revealed Craig Short and Nils-Eric Johansson have been released.

Jansen has not trained with the Rovers squad for several months and has struggled to recapture his best form since his accident.

Hughes added: "We hope as a result of listening to people, we'll get him back - that's the aim.

And on a possible pay-as-you-play deal for Jansen next season, Hughes added: "I would imagine that's how the contract would be structured.

"I don't think it would be a case, initially, of a great financial commitment from us, because it's a case of Matty just seeing if he can come back."

A couple of players I noticed have been released recently....

Nils-Eric Johansen from Blackburn the central defender/left back. ( I think I got his name right) He has always looked a good player to me and if he is prepared tro drop down adivision he would be an ideal signing.

Lee Clarke from Fulham is a player I have always reall rated. We don't actually need a player in his position but he is pure class. One of the best passers of the ball in English football.

Noticed he was being released and thought exactly the same! I think he'll go to Sunderland or another small'ish premierhsip team.

Well there parents should be supervising them then, they should also be in bed at 8.30 if they are young enough to be shocked by the word shit! Maybe we could take it up with their parents.

Never heard of them - lower leagues are one point, quorn are something else. Can you imagine the uproar from some of the people on this forum if CL bought a person from a team as low profile as Quorn? Several fans (not incl myself) are complaining about CL's supposed policy on players from the SPL - how would non league sides compare?!
