maddog Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 It's insanely early i know, but i've had enough of talking about anything that isn't LCFC now. This promises to be a big match, theres 'sell out' floating around but i definitely think it will the highest be attendence of the season. The international break has left us all champing at the bit for some football. And i'm sure the players are very bored having not played at the weekend too. We haven't played Derby in 3 seasons amazingly, and last time at the Walkers we drew 1-1, Fryatt getting the goal for us i seem to remember. We lost 1-0 at Pride Park that season. We drew both fixtures in 05/06 but did the double over them in 04/05, the last season we beat them at the Walkers. Derby have won 2 of their last 3 matches, but they lost 6-1 in the other match. They are slightly struggling down in 17th. I have no idea what our team will be, NP bought on all those 3 strikers at Cov, will they all be on the bench again with Yann and Fryatt starting The fact theres been a 2 week break means plenty of training time for NP to come up with some new ideas or for other players to impress. I'm hoping for a decent home performance, we really need a win having not won since the Blackpool home game, but it's going to be tough. Somehow i just can't see it though, i think both sides will be slightly flat after a 2 week break, and i think it will be a scrappy 0-0 draw. Football talk at last. :locked:
samjohnson Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 I cant make the game Im on holiday :l But i still reckon we will win... Easily... 2-0
Budweiser Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 3-2 win. Goals from Fryatt, Hobbs and Steveeeee. Hopefully we'll pick up the win, but Derby need to climb up the table rather quickly.
joely22 Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Will be a spanking. We've got a good nine or ten players out and have just lost one of our best centre backs for 4 weeks this morning. Think we have about 15 fit players and one of them includes Dickov so that's 14!
MPH Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 2-0 Yann to get his first goal and fryatt from the penalty spot
Karljohn Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Goals from Howard and Gallagher long overdue... One each from them.... Plus one from fryatt And a oakley free kick 4-1 City.
acooling08 Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 First time I ever voted 'win'. Definately think we can take Derby.
davieG Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Might be a decent atmosphere with a full away section. The Rams allotment for the match at the Walkers Stadium was heading for a sell out all along and the final tickets, of the 3,256 allocation, were sold on Saturday so we'll be taking some following to Leicester this weekend.
Muz Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Should be a good atmosphere. Bout time a team brought a decent away following , last few home games have been poor with the likes of them spacks in orange and Preston. L1 should be pretty lively
Fox You Forest Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Really confident about this one. 3-0 Fryatt, Big Steve and Oakley.
Corky Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Will be tight, but I think we'll edge it. 1-0. C'mon
lildave3 Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Bloody hell, people are alot more confident than I am.
Jiggers the Fox Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Definately a good feeling about this one. going for a 2-1 win
milan_foxes Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 good match and good atmosphere I exspect, 2-1 or 2-0 city.
Fox You Forest Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Bloody hell, people are alot more confident than I am. Key man Dickov is unavailable.
Joe. Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Disappointed to be missing this one, but not much I can do about it sadly! I think we'll draw personally.
lcfcadam Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 It's insanely early i know Really? I was pretty surprised that there wasn't a match thread on the go less than a week before kick-off!
StanSP Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Hoping we pick up a good win on Saturday. Might be going to it. Not sure yet. But maybw 2-0 or 3-0. Fryatt to score a couple. Hoping Howard plays/scores. If not, Waghorn to come on in 2nd half and score
Guest Bilo Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Derby seem to be struggling, having some terrible injury problems and we don't look an easy side to beat. Fairly optimistic about this one. Howard and Fryatt scoring in a 2-0 win for us and a great atmosphere in L1.
Ozwin Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 There hasn't been a goaless game at the Walkers this season yet so I doubt it'll be a 0-0 (touch wood) 2-0 City. Oakley and Gallagher.
StanSP Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 There hasn't been a goaless game at the Walkers this season yet so I doubt it'll be a 0-0 (touch wood)2-0 City. Oakley and Gallagher. When people say things like that, they happen <_<
Salieri Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 Feeling confident about this one. Everything will fall into place, great performance and terrific atmosphere. 3-0 with goals from Fryatt (2) and Oakley.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 October 2009 Posted 12 October 2009 2-0 win, Howard and a defender scoring from a corner. We have never lost at home to Derby whilst at the Walkers so the omens are good! Also we are the only game not to have ref announced for it according to the Football League website, dont know why that is, especially when it has already decided for Palace on Tues.
