We haven't played Reading since the 05/06 season, where we lost at the Madejski 2-0 and drew 1-1 at the Walkers.

In 04/05 we won away at Reading in the Fa Cup 2-1, drew 0-0 there in the League, but lost 2-0 at the Walkers in that season.

And in 02/03 we did the double over The Royals winning 2-1 and winning 3-1.

They are seriously suffering from the loss of a great manager Steve Coppell, and new boss Brendan Rodgers, carries a wealth of managerial experience at Youth and Reserve team level, isn't doing a great job in senior management, at the side he started out in 1995 as youth team coach.

Reading fans sung 'you're getting sacked in the morning' and chanted Steve Coppell's name as they were thumped 4-1 at QPR last night, coincedently the very side we face 4 days after the Reading fixture, also on TV.

So it seems Rodgers days at Reading are definitely numbered, and if the sacking of Southgate is anything to go by, you have to think Rodgers will be gone sooner rather than later, who knows he may be gone before we play Reading.

They haven't won at home in the League all season, and have only collected 3 points on their home turf, so the omens look very good for us to go there and destroy them.

3 defeats on the spin conceding 9 goals and scoring only 2 leaves them rooted in 21st place, and not even a win on Monday will move them up the table. A defeat on Monday for Reading could see them fall to bottom of the Championship, a draw and they could find themselves in the drop zone.

They are certainly a team well off form, but we have already failed to defeat 2 sides currently in the drop zone, drawing to P'Boro and Ipswich, so this is by no means guaranteed for us, but if we are going to continue with the playoff dream, then these sort of games, regardless of it being an away match, against a side really struggling like Reading really must be won.

We managed to win by 2 goals for the first time this season in the League, and it's come at a good time leading up too the pressure of 2 away matches on the spin in 4 days, and the extra weight of the games being on Sky, and we are liable to struggle when shown on Sky, especially in the Championship.

All in all this could turn out to be a very exciting game, Edgar Davids could make his debut IF he signs, Gallagher will surely start after his magical performance, and the positive impact of Dj Campbell may earn him his first start this season.

With 2 games in 4 days Pearson may rotate his full backs once again, perhaps Neilson/McGivern will start one game, and Berner/Morrison the other. Brown and Hobbs are showing great form and with Tunchev still injured that partnership will surely continue.

N'Guessan or Adams will surely get a chance in one of these two games and they will need to grasp that opportunity.

I will be shocked if Howard starts at Reading, and wouldn't be massively surprised if the off form Fryatt is dropped too. It's crucial the other strikers impress though, if they do they may have another chance at QPR.

2 very important matches. We sit just 3 points off top spot but there are 5 other sides even closer to that dizzying height, what we need to do is make sure we win to get ahead of sides below us, and stick with the top sides if we can.

It's going to be very interesting who Pearson starts, if Davids is here, and if we can get another away win.

I think we're going to do it, and will just edge out Reading, with a 2-1 win. Gallagher and Kermo scoring :scarf:

They are struggling and were on the back of a win so we should win this easily. Probably means we wont lol

Yeah we never do things the easy way!

On the other hand, it's the perfect opportunity for Reading to get their first home league win since god knows when, January? Hopefully not though!

you can imagine the Sky commentators on Monday...

'Leicester have signed Edgar Davids, but let's not forget that Reading is owned by john Madejski, and were in the Premier League not long ago'

'And it's 3-0 Leicester, as good a performance as it has been from the Foxes, let's have some sympathy for the former Premier League team Reading, owned by John Madejski, who built them this magnificent stadium.'

'And there's the full time Whistle, 4-0 to Leicester, Reading were awful, for a former Premier League team owned by John Madejski, and a team which played Newcasle in the PREMIER LEAGUE only a couple of years ago, this is a disaster, Leicester city, the tiny club have beaten Reading, the former Premier League team owned by John Madejski, and used to be managed by Steve Coppell'

Would hope for a positive result, seeing as they havent won since Jan at home, but a narrow loss, under the cameras on a Monday. (Can't wait though, someone come up with a Davids chant)

Reading are in an awful run of form, three defeats on the bounce and without a win in ages at the Madejski. I could be wrong, but I can see Reading becoming this season's Charlton.

Exactly the kind of away gaame we should be winning, confidence should have been boosted by Tuesday's win and I fancy us to take this 2-0 with goals from King and Waghorn as a late sub.

I've been pretty positive on my predictons but something about Reading makes apprehensive, I know they aren't the team they used to be but at home I still think they can beat anyone, so I'll go for Reading 1 Leicester 0.

TBH you just have to look at the results from the championship this season to see that you can beat anyone (unless you're name begins in R and ends in oy Keane and the team you manage begins with I and ends with pswich)

:D Its pretty much based on a bad feeling about this game, I did see some highlights online and they have been unlucky on a few occassions I stillt hink they have a decent team.

I guess we'll see...

Regardless of what people say, it's still early in the season etc etc, for me these next 2 away games are so fooking important for us, and our playoff ambition this season.

And i was just about to say as it stands we will go top of the table with a win Monday and Friday, but the lucky toon bastards have just scored the winning goal.

Don't want to put too much pressure on the game but this is so true! We can state our place in the top half of the league with two wins next week and show the rest of the teams that we mean business.

To be honest I would be very happy with 4 points out of 6!
