Thracian Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Regardless of what people say, it's still early in the season etc etc, for me these next 2 away games are so fooking important for us, and our playoff ambition this season. And i was just about to say as it stands we will go top of the table with a win Monday and Friday, but the lucky toon bastards have just scored the winning goal. Didn't you listen to Anish. We just need to consolidate this season!
Guest Mee-9 Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 We need to win the Reading game, to stay in touch with the playoffs.
maddog Posted 24 October 2009 Author Posted 24 October 2009 If we win we will be 5th, if we lose or draw we will be 10th. MASSIVE 3 points up for grabs.
Corky Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 They're struggling, we're in a decent position, these are the matches I don't like. Still, we should be confident, an early goal will help, so I'll say 2-1 to City.
Thracian Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 Last time I watched us at Reading we didn't make the slightest attempt to win and lost 2-0. Had we kicked off on their penalty spot we'd have still put 9 men behind the halfway line! I cannot imagine anything adventurous but we can grind like a vintage knife sharpener so I'd expect us to get something and the only reason we've only won once on our travels is due to our lack of real conviction at various stages. If we show the necessary conviction we have the personnel to score goals but I still feel we limit ourselves with our style and are more like to try to pinch a result as at Middlesbrough rather than play ourselves to victory as we looked like doing in the first half at Watford. One-nil City. But beware. I'm never right with results.
StanSP Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 From the OS: Venue: The Madejski Stadium, ReadingDate: Tuesday 20th October 2009 Kick Off: 8.00pm Coverage: Sky Sports 1 - 7.430pm Competition: Coca Cola Championship I knew the clocks go back, but making up times is just silly.
Salieri Posted 24 October 2009 Posted 24 October 2009 I reckon we'll nick this 1-0. Hope so cos can't see anything other than a defeat at QPR on Friday.
jonthefox Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 2-0 gally and fryatt. Has anyone got any news on this game being on t`internet.
deepbluedevil Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 I think this one will be tight - 0-0 or 0-1
h1210 Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 From the OS:I knew the clocks go back, but making up times is just silly. Not to mention: " A win in front of the SKY TV cameras on Monday night could see them move into the automatic promotion places. " or "Statistics Overall (in all competitions) City wins: 7 Draws: 4 Derby wins: 2" Theres probably half a dozen more in there somewhere
TrickyTrev Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 I'm growing uneasy about this match. Reading have not won at home in 9 months or something stupid like that, it would be just like us to put an end to such a record. We've had a couple of half decent results on the road as late, but the performances have been scrappy. Hopefully we'll get the win because I can't see us getting anything at QPR.
dypatel06 Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 We could have Lionel Messi- were playing on Tv= LOSS
h1210 Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 Venue: The Madejski Stadium, ReadingDate: Tuesday 20th October 2009 Kick Off: 8.00pm Coverage: Sky Sports 1 and 104.9 BBC Radio Leicester Competition: Coca Cola Championship Seems they've changed the coverage bit on the OS but didn't feel like changing the date. I wonder why they bother sometimes
Guest Mee-9 Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 We could have Lionel Messi- were playing on Tv= LOSS Loving the positives.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 So it's an 8PM kick off then...thought it was 7.45 but better its at 8 - gives me more time to get there! So did I. QPR is 7:45 though!
Hitesh Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 Buzzing for this now Likewise - I'm back in Reading now and I can't wait for it! I just know work tomorrow is going to be LONG!

lou Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 What time are people who are driving thinking of leaving Leicester? I was planning on leaving about 4?
James. Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 Emotional return to my university town. Well up for this.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 It's forecast to be a mild, dry evening tonight, 13 degs and cloudy with no hints of rain
Hitesh Posted 26 October 2009 Posted 26 October 2009 To everyone going to the game by Train... There has been an accident this morning on the Paddington to Reading line and they say it won't be clear until afternoon, but just in case it isnt, this is just a heads up to all! Go to nationalrail to get the latest info. Loads of people from London can't get into work today so must be quite a big accident for them to close the line! I'd suggest coming into Reading from Waterloo if you are coming by train and there are still delays form Paddington!
