MC Prussian Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Been waiting for this for three years and it's finally come good:
Samilktray Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 Let Em Ave It - Giggs. So stoked for this album now, could be the best British album in years.
MC Prussian Posted 18 May 2010 Posted 18 May 2010 Shoegazing is definitely back - with The Depreciation Guild's newest album, Spirit Youth.
Joe. Posted 21 May 2010 Posted 21 May 2010 Get on these Alexei if you haven't already. Saw them when I went to see The Cribs earlier in the month and was suitably impressed. Big hints of The Drums at times, but they're far from replicas...

CosbehFox Posted 26 May 2010 Posted 26 May 2010 They may remain broken forever, but are pushing themselves into new rock dimensions: Brilliant! I suspect two or three of the songs to be used in some Sony ad. The National's is quality too.
MC Prussian Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 And some more Canadiana (amazing what a country with some 30+ million people can produce in quality music output):
MC Prussian Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 Blitzen Trapper and Here We Go Magic also due a new album each in about two weeks time.
Samilktray Posted 27 May 2010 Posted 27 May 2010 1. Cold Wind Blows 2. Talkin’ 2 Myself Feat. Kobe 3. On Fire 4. Won’t Back Down Feat. Pink 5. W.T.P. 6. Going Through Changes 7. Not Afraid 8. Seduction 9. No Love Feat. Lil Wayne 10. Space Bound 11. Cinderella Man 12. 25 to Life 13. So Bad 14. Almost Famous 15. Love the Way You Lie Feat. Rihanna 16. You’re Never Over Very interesting.
Joe. Posted 30 May 2010 Posted 30 May 2010 Tokyo Police Club - Champ Been off the radar for quite a while really but this really is a contender for album of the year for me, loving it at the moment.
CosbehFox Posted 30 May 2010 Posted 30 May 2010 Been off the radar for quite a while really but this really is a contender for album of the year for me, loving it at the moment. How long is it? Better than the nineteen minutes from their debut?
Joe. Posted 30 May 2010 Posted 30 May 2010 How long is it? Better than the nineteen minutes from their debut? They're last one was 28 minutes. But yeah, they've boosted it up to the dizzy heights of 35 minutes now. Short and sweet, great for a quick listen.
MC Prussian Posted 3 June 2010 Posted 3 June 2010 Some more funky electronic/pop tunes from the U.S. East Coast, reminiscent of the Eighties:
MC Prussian Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 As mentioned in the "What are you listening to?" thread, here's the album to the track: Stunning prog/psychodelic rock from Aussieland with a funky touch - highly recommended! And then there's something for the electronic/pop crowd that doesn't mind a bit of guitar & strings thrown in the mix - Ratatat are back!
Joe. Posted 4 June 2010 Posted 4 June 2010 Big fan of the Ratatat effort Alexei, got hold of it myself a few weeks ago.
Sparky Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 Struggling to find anything new that i like at the minute, its all "brap brap innit innit" stuff. Music Channels are full of it.
Part Of The Crowd Posted 6 June 2010 Posted 6 June 2010 A fantastic offering from the Prog supergroup. Well worth it.

This is pretty massive, so he recorded two albums at the same time! Fucking love the guy. Really starting to get into recovery aswell.
Samilktray Posted 10 June 2010 Posted 10 June 2010 He recorded Relapse 2 during and after the first Relapse album, then as he carried on recording he scrapped the album for Recovery, but it seems hes going to release some of Relapse 2 this way
MC Prussian Posted 25 June 2010 Posted 25 June 2010 Some more food for the Rap-inclined: Dark Time Sunshine - Vessel A "verbalist & beatcreator" album even I stand listening to.
