I'm just looking forward to another home game, and a chance to grab some new year bargains :)

Why do people feel the need to question how people support the game I don't understand this bitching at fellow fans. :dunno:

The only ones bitching are the so called 'real fans' who don't think your opinions count unless you've been to Hartlepool away on a cold Tuesday night.

The fact is anyone with enough time and money can follow a team to all aways games. It doesn't prove that;

a) You're more knowledgable about football.

or

b) You care more about the club.

The only thing it proves is that you've got enough time and money to follow the team to all away games.

Different people go for different reasons then. I do go on about the "definatly standing" thing as I will (I remember the last game I sat, Wednesday away, Jan 2006.) and most the people who state that are the same.

Sorry if this is the way I follow me team, with the days out think but they are to me and quite a few people who drive early/ take trains, find pubs occasionally stay over as opposed to getting fox travel.

Fanatic.

I dunno... seems to me that we seem to have a large number of 'terrace warriors' on here. Lot of people that go on and on about away days and 'terrace banter', as though it doesn't matter about the Walkers. You know, those people who parade around going, "Oh we are DEFINTELY standing up, no matter what some disabled tell us"...

We must be one of the few clubs where a large majority of our fans don't give a shit about their home ground, why is this?! Surely it should be like a fortress for the club where away fans should be made to feel intimidated, etc etc. Its attitudes like this that help contribute to the lack of atmosphere at home by staying away.

Since when did football become about 'a day out' too? I couldn't give a flying fook about whether I'm particularly entertained (although its always a nice bonus), I just want to see my team win. If that means against Swansea on a cold January afternoon, so be it.

disabled.

Each to their own everyone has the right to determine how they spend their time and money be that going to another game, getting down the home matches 2 hours before the kick off, sitting down with your cup of bovril and not singing or be the proverbial misaerable disabled.

I'd agree with this. Leicester is Leicester.

Im looking at the positives:

1 - Its not Southampton away

2 - Its not Plymouth away

.... Ive ran out of others.

It's not Preston away?

It's a home draw, it's not a potential giant-killing against us, a winnable match, not too bad really. I'd prefer another match in all honesty but that's the luck of the draw.

Hope we have a good run in this cup this season.

Sbfox started this round of bitching and I don't think he fits into the above category. :dunno:

Im bitching about getting a shite home draw AGAIN because we always get crap ties, nothing to do with how many games I go to

Hmmm. Do you not think that enjoyment of the game and attendances at them are linked in any way? Supporting the team only gets you so far. If you don't enjoy going, then at some point you are going to question why you keep on going. I have seen a fair few friends disappear from my matchday shenanigans over recent years. It doesn't mean that their love for City has diminished.

Not happy with the draw today. Was hoping to draw a team from one end of the scale, either top 4 Premier League or a League 2 or lower.

Redgrave doing the draw, just stupid.

The sad thing is, I'll probably end up going to this. Would be game for a reply too as I have a mate down in Swansea.

He was reacting to some of the elitist fans on here who like to look down their noses at the rest of us.

I wasn't refering to you Lou nor Lisa or anyone else who goes to away games for a good day out or to support the team. Just the type who think they're better than the rest of us who don't go away that often.

It looked like he was reacting to someone who said they'd be at another game rather than Leicester's. I'm not defending your 'elitist' fans I was condemning anyone that has a go at how, when, where, why someone chooses to support LCFC.

I'd agree with that, it's just one of those subjects that winds me up.

Thank you! This is exactly what I was trying to say, only put a lot more eloquently.

I'm so proud of our away fans, they're some of the best in the country IMO and I love it when a game reaches general sale because then I get a chance of going! Unfortunately, I've never been financially able to stump up for a season ticket and so despite going to enough aways last year to get a P2 ticket, I'm not a ST holder so can't.... I'm just not a big fan of the 'away day warrior' who goes to aways to have a few stories to tell to their mates and then doesn't get behind the team at home because its not the same as an away game and then looks down on us fans that make home matches more often for whatever reason.

Oh and Fox in Essex (I think), there's no reason why we couldn't turn the Walkers in to somewhere with a half decent atmosphere. Who cares if it looks like its been assembled like a flat pack piece of furniture (it probably was to be fair)? The away fans are right in that corner and we could easily sandwich them between K+L and N blocks if people were willing to fill those particular blocks.
