ousefox Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 Another shit FA cup draw for us. Looks like i will be off to Stoke instead.
davieG Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 I don't suppose Swansea are too impressed either.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 Don't know why people are saying they aren't gonna turn out... Yeah, it may be a shit draw, but you've still gotta get behind the lads and support the team. I'll be there, and I would put money on it beng a shite game with 0-0 written all over it. Has anyone realised we play them just two weeks later away in the league, so if we draw the cup game we will play away in the cup replay then away in the league!!! We always get shit draws, and for a minute I thought we were getting United.
Tommeh Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 W.E.A.K tie, truely shocking. I'll be heading to the Lincoln end at Bolton. Then show up at the replay on a Tuesday night.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 Look at it like this, Get threw this round, we might get arsenal next round.
maddog Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 On the plus side the tickets SHOULD be very cheap for the game as we've already played Swansea at home once. Free for STH perhaps

Yeah, it may be a shit draw, but you've still gotta get behind the lads and support the team. Exactly, We're all Leicester City fans aren't we? We go to support our team not the opposition. I must say it's hard to be overly excited about this tie but in all honesty I expected no different. Looks like some are definitely not going to support their team though, some maybe even going to other games
Ford Super Sunday Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 I don't suppose Swansea are too impressed either. They aren't impressed one iota On the plus side the tickets SHOULD be very cheap for the game as we've already played Swansea at home once.Free for STH perhaps A) Depends on what Swansea want to charge. I assume they wont be as greedy ****s as Stevenage and Dagenham were last season. But then again Palace were too, so maybe they will B) No chance, every free ticket would have to be paid for by the club to fulfill Swansea's share of the gate receipts, it'd cost the club loads of money.

No doubt this will prove a poor decision on my part after a crap 0-0 draw which beckons.
lou Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 PISSED OFF!! Knew it would be shite, it always is for us. Praying to get Man U or Liverpool towards the end but noooo same old shitty draws for us. Yeah I bet theyre equally fed up too . Oh well like others have said it could have been a lot worse and at least we havent got to travel to see a shit tie, the Jacks fans have Man Utd/Leeds is a massive draw IF Leeds get through!
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 Don't know why people are saying they aren't gonna turn out... Yeah, it may be a shit draw, but you've still gotta get behind the lads and support the team. Because it takes more than the fact that City are playing to get people to come to a graveyard in January and pay through the nose for the pleasure these days. If they do a season ticket holders offer, I MIGHT turn up, but it has me less excited than Palace last year.

Itll be 10 or 15 quid I reckon, boring but I'll be there no doubt
tartanowl Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 Why do we always get totally shit Fa Cup draws. I feel the same. Heres a list of our recent 3rd round draws:09/10: Swansea at home 08/09: Palace at home 07/08: Southampton away 06/07: Fulham at home 05/06: Tottenham at home 04/05: Blackpool at home 03/04: Man City away 02/03: Bristol City at home 01/02: Mansfield at home It will be tough to find any side with shitty 3rd round ties like that over 9 years. We can beat that. Our record is atrocious too. I can't remember the last time we won an FA Cup tie! 09/10: Palace at home 08/09: Fulham at home (lost) 07/08: Derby away (lost in replay) 06/07: Man City at home (lost in replay) 05/06: Charlton at home (lost) 04/05: Swindon away (lost) 03/04: S****horpe away (lost replay on pens) 02/03: Gillingham away (lost) 01/02: Crewe away (lost) We'll lose to Palace and it's another shit draw.

Nice one. believe me if my idea of fun is sitting in the walkers with 11,000 others, I would. But I'll spend some time with the father which I don't get anymore, decent away atmosphere and an actual day out. Like I said I'll be there in the replay where a decent car and laugh will be guarenteed. Nobody has the right to question my attendance, ever. Mongends.
lildave3 Posted 29 November 2009 Posted 29 November 2009 LAME. But it could lead to a win, which could lead to a cracking 4th round tie...

Where did York end up? I might go and watch them instead

I dunno... seems to me that we seem to have a large number of 'terrace warriors' on here. Lot of people that go on and on about away days and 'terrace banter', as though it doesn't matter about the Walkers. You know, those people who parade around going, "Oh we are DEFINTELY standing up, no matter what some disabled tell us"... We must be one of the few clubs where a large majority of our fans don't give a shit about their home ground, why is this?! Surely it should be like a fortress for the club where away fans should be made to feel intimidated, etc etc. Its attitudes like this that help contribute to the lack of atmosphere at home by staying away. Since when did football become about 'a day out' too? I couldn't give a flying fook about whether I'm particularly entertained (although its always a nice bonus), I just want to see my team win. If that means against Swansea on a cold January afternoon, so be it.

Each to their own everyone has the right to determine how they spend their time and money be that going to another game, getting down the home matches 2 hours before the kick off, sitting down with your cup of bovril and not singing or be the proverbial misaerable disabled. Why do people feel the need to question how people support the game I don't understand this bitching at fellow fans.

I do go on about the "definatly standing" thing as I will (I remember the last game I sat, Wednesday away, Jan 2006.) and most the people who state that are the same. Sorry if this is the way I follow me team, with the days out think but they are to me and quite a few people who drive early/ take trains, find pubs occasionally stay over as opposed to getting fox travel.
