l444ry Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Maybe the fact that he completely ignores the fans and the Supporters Club who have invited him to their events which he has persistently refused to attend even though the players and chairman have has contributed to it. He just doesn't endear himself to the fans. Might also be because he's aware that he'd be a sitting target for all the armchair experts and ignoramuses that frequent such events. Can't be much fun being abused by some oik insulting his coaching badges with their cycling proficiency awards, and believing the fact that they nearly made the bench for their school team allows them this right.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Pearson will be linked to every job under the sun from now on. Nobody wants to go Bolton. Whats funny is Roy Hodgsons been linked, when hes doing a fabulous job at Fulham
lou Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Pearson will be linked to every job under the sun from now on.Nobody wants to go Bolton. Whats funny is Roy Hodgsons been linked, when hes doing a fabulous job at Fulham Hmmmm swap West London for Bolton..... tough one
Guest Mee-9 Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Or he just has one of those faces that everybody hates.
Ozwin Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Nobody likes him because he's ginger. There, I said it.
lou Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 I fecking hate him coz every bloody photo of him in the press has him with his mouth open - chewing gum showing
Corky Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Nobody likes him because he's ginger. There, I said it. But Neil Lennon was well-liked
Ford Super Sunday Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Every time I see this thread as being the last thread to be posted in, it always scared me shitless that there's been some activity, and they've made a move for him, when infact it's benign twitter <_<
Father Ted Posted 31 December 2009 Posted 31 December 2009 Bolton are a small and insignificant premiership football team that needs to be relegated. They have achieved nothing in it and merely make up the numbers. Disappear into league 2. This. Espescially as Gartside wanted to set-up his own 'special' league crap.
bluebeau Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 I agree he was in a lose lose situation which just isn't right. Yes he's not necessarily a likeable bloke, but I find it pretty sad that the guy gets berated no matter what, and that even if he did a good job here a load of morons would still be on his back. Megson is the type of chap that if he became the next Pope, catholics would convert to Islam! Let us be thankful that he didn't stay long at City, he must have known that he was disliked during his short tenure. RIP ginger twat.
BoneDog Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 I always loved Ginger Gaz back in the day and was quite happy when he joined us cos I thought he would sort us out a bit. I couldn't believe it how he left so quick, I was gobsmacked. That's when I first thought he was a twat But I've forgiven him now cos things have turned out for the best for Leicester City.
Isopen Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 I actually feel sorry for Megson. He is universally hated by everyone except West Brom fans - and even sections of their fan base wish him nothing but failure. I can't understand why the bloke is so loathed. His brand of football is hideously boring, but ...... Answered your own question there Surely fans want to be entertained, I've never been as bored as a City fan as when Megson ran the team
lavrentis Posted 1 January 2010 Posted 1 January 2010 But Neil Lennon was well-liked Not by Rangers fans.
Daggers Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 They're advertising for an assistant butcher just around the corner from us - word has it that Pearson has submitted his CV
step Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Bolton are a small club that have been playing out of their league. Why do people think he would want to go to bolton. NP would do better to go to Hinckley
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 2 January 2010 Author Posted 2 January 2010 Relatively speaking moneywise I doubt there's a great deal to be gained in terms of achievement. Bolton may have more money but it's not enough to make an impact in the Premier League and by all accounts the Cups after all they never won anything even with the 'success' that Allardyce achieved, Pearson currently has enough money to achieve the play-offs, which would be considered a success and an achievement. So the frustration would be just as great if not more at Bolton and success at Leicester will hold out the promise of a better job later than struggling to keep Bolton up. Yeah that seems to make sense, but better jobs normally attract bigger names than NP whether he would be capable of managing a top 10 prem club would remain to be seen,Bolton do seem to have a decent squad on paper and if rumours are correct NP is not on a fabulous wage at city and he is half way through his contract and there seems to be no signing a new one yet and strange things do happen in football.
Flynny Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Closing this as he is distinctly not being linked.
