Candidcamera Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Good substitutions by Nigel. Well played Leicester.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 That King, he's shit eh? Shouldn't be anywhere near the team I tell ya. Just because he's good in the tackle, has a football brain, can pass the ball well, has a lethal shot, had a £6 million rated player in his pocket last season, ran the show for Wales U21s against England and has been one of our most consistent players doesn't mean he's any good you know.
IOWFOX Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 i wonder how many of people that said king was shit a couple of weekends again will still voice that opinion

Ilkeston_Fox Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Thank God we've not got a replay Well done City. A good grinding result again against a good Swansea team.
Flynny Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 There's not more than about 2 people moaning about King anymore anyway. You guys are getting dangerously close to smugly knocking down straw-men of your own invention, Ultra-style. (P.S. King is a god)

Norfox74 Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Man of the Match: Nigel Pearson His subs won the game.
BoneDog Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Lovely stuff today. It feels good now and we're looking forward to the draw here. I'm hoping for the winners of Gillingham and Accrington Stanley or Brighton at home. Save the big guns for the quarters and semis
Flynny Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 of our OWN invention?please explain! People bitching about him are fizzling away rapidly, so taking this opportunity to have a bit of a gloat is fine to an extent, but an orgy of back-slapping isn't quite called for. Not that it's happening yet, just potentially. In fact to be honest I think I just wanted to be disparaging about Ultra. Fuck it.

fatmando Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 I wanna go Emirates!!! We ll get destroyed but hey, it will be a great day and then we can concentrate on something we have a chance of winning - Promotion!
Ford Super Sunday Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 I will go mental if we get a crap 4th round draw! But pleased with the win overall, mainly because I feel quite happy about the fact we're in the hat tomorrow. Thank god it wasn't a draw though, thank god thank god.. I had the blade ready to cut myself with! Not at our best in the first half, and let them pass us to bits, though the fact they went nowhere with all that passing was a plus. Second half we wanted it more, more pressure, and a good winner, with some super build up play by Yanny to set up the goal. Bring on the 4th round but please, please, I beg a good draw!
Bryn Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 We'll draw Man Utd, we'll dick em 4-0 with Fryatt getting a hattrick and then he'll get sold for £6m. Like a rich man's DJ Campbell.
Joe. Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Really pleased with that, great result against a team in form that we'd normaly struggle against in this competition. It might not have been pretty at times but I think we did just about enough to deserve the win on the balance of play. Swansea's football was without doubt prettier than ours, but for the most part they were left to feed off of long efforts which Weale was able to deal with fairly comfortably. Cotterill's goal was absolute quality, but aside from that it was only Ashley Williams' free-kick near the end which got me worried. Once again Pearson gets it right through his substitutions. Gallagher replacing the totally ineffective Dyer was inevitable, and I thought he looked pretty decent. The double change was even better, as Yann did more in the 15 minutes he was on the pitch that Howard managed in 80. Absolute salmon of a leap ahead of two Swansea players and Morrison to set up N'Guessan, who finished it off with a very good header. Onto N'Guessan, it still mystifies me as to why he doesn't get more of a look in. He can do so much more than Dyer on the left wing, even though he's far from the polished article. I think I make that three (plus Macclesfield where he started) substitute goals this season, all of them headers to give us something from the game. Dyer may have the odd good game, but they're so few and far between it's not worth bothering about. Brighton away or a Premier League London away tie in the next round would be perfect for me, although I'm not holding my breath. I expect another uninspiring clash awaits in round four. On the whole, another ground out performance to give us the win. We're getting good at this...
Mikey Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Good result. Hoping for a lower league team away or home, or a London away day.
