CosbehFox Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 What? He's supporting your opinion... and I agree with it too. I'd love to be able to sit down and work out whether it's possible to get through a season cheaper than a ST via all these offers etc.
fatmando Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Surely the club anticipated there was guna be a poor attendance today. Why were tickets so expensive. A reduced price would have got more in surely.
C-man Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 I agree, but i do think if King was to be on the wing he would atleast attempt to stay out wide or run. I think it shows a lack of confidence in the other wingers on Pearsons behalf and shows that he would rather accomidate 3 centre midfielders rather then drop one and therefore have more competition for places. It's not about accomodating 3 central midfielders or not showing confidence in the other wingers, it's about remaining strong in midfield and not getting beat down the middle. It can leave us lacking width at times but I can guarantee we'd concede more goals without Oakley. King on the wing didn't work against Dagenham/Stevenage (can't remember) in the Cup and it was changed to Oakley and it was succesful for the season.

I don't know i think even though N'Guessan, for example, is a more attacking player he can do his fair share defensivly. Such as Sheffield United and QPR away this season. Oakley may stop us getting beat down the middle but the game just seems to pass him by when he plays right mid in my opinion anyway.
fatmando Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 It was. £15/£20. Oh...pardon me. I was sure when I was online the other night it said £25. I bought tickets for Ipswich instead!!
Fosse Boy Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Delighted is one way of putting it. I've had a fucking fantastic day.

N'Guessan is awful at giving cover to his full back behind him. He is lazy defensively and gets caught out of position. He maybe a very good attacking threat, but we will concede more goals with N'Guessan in the team rather than Oakley.
Fosse Boy Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Great support. Nice hat, too. It's lucky, and shall be worn to all Cup games in future. That's the most fun I've had at Filbert Way ever, even if me chatting to JME about Polar Bear caused me to miss our winner. <_<
Guest Mee-9 Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Did anyone else notice the SUBSTANCIAL police prescence. There was loads of rozzers. I know Swansea are rough, but surely abit over the top?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 An enjoyable game with us in the next round, cant complain really! Thought Kermo looked good when he came on whilst King for me was once again awesome. He sweeps up defensively and is now getting forward more into threatening positions. Hobbs looked a bit shakey at some points but I think the defence was quite solid. Neilson looks ever improving, Morrison is much better with his distribution then anyone else in defence, and McGivern probably had one of his better games.

I would agree he has been in certain games this season but in other games such as Sheffield United and QPR that i mentioned before he wasn't. I'm not saying N'Guessan is the answer i just don't like Oakley playing right midfield. I understand that it makes us more solid in the midfield but there has been far to many games this season where he has done nothing all game. Don't get me wrong i don't believe a winning team should be changed as we have produced some decent team performances with him there i just believe that he is wasted out wide and he should either be in the centre or on the bench.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Did I hear the Jacks singing 'Paki what's the score?' Thought we utterly deserved it. They played pretty stuff but was all played in front of us and we restricted them to long-range shooting. Once we had sussed out that their only threat was the centre-forward coming deep and Pratley and Allen running past him, we looked good. Nice to get the late winner, already can't wait for tomorrow's draw. Loved SK1 today! Stewards tried to get involved in Jamies, Andys and AFIEs etc European fun, twats. Great laugh. WOOP WOOP!!! That's me!!!!
Fosse Boy Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 WOOP WOOP!!!That's me!!!! The same "etc" who paid £5 for a pre-match Fruli!
LCFC-ARAB Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 :laugh:The same "etc" who paid £5 for a pre-match Fruli! Fuck off mate, i was expecting Manchester prices!
Fosse Boy Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Fuck off mate, i was expecting Manchester prices! Is my answer to that.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Is my answer to that. And cunt off is my answer to that
Fosse Boy Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 And cunt offis my answer to that You're the quintessential Englishman.
Corky Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Delighted to get through, great time to win it as well They were the better side until we equalised, we were stronger in the second half. Gallagher looked good when he came on, lovely header from Yann and then N'Guessan. Hope we get a good draw in the next round.
C-man Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Just thought... Both Donny and Cardiff's games today were called off, so it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer to find rearrangement dates.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Joe gave me some good insight into "disabled central." Also, I think I saw Finners, Schott man.
Sods Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Gutted i couldn't make it today, bastard car. Roll on the draw and hopefully an away day.
