lou Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 That'd be me. I pay £xxx to have a season ticket every season and I can go see us play Swansea twice a year in a competition we can do well in (the league). By all accounts today was not worth £20 for a ticket, £30 for the train and a 4 hour round trip. Going to Arsenal, Spurs or Chelsea, each less than half an hour from me, or Manchester United for the first time in 7 years is naturally something which appeals to me. Just because I didn't go today, doesn't mean I don't deserve a ticket for the next round. Absolutely, you just dont deserve it as much as those who braved the cold and paid the ticket price today
IOWFOX Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 yes our attendance was pretty poor today but dont forget we are normally have 1 of the highest in the league and more than some premier league clubs could be worse there was only 5335 at wigan vs hull today and they are 'premier' league clubs
bigneville Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 I thought Swansea where a decent side, who played some very good football, but as per the opening game of the season, they had no ideas in the final 30 yards of the pitch. The only way they where going to score and did score was from 30 yards. I can see why they are in the play-off mix-up, and I'd quite like them to be in there to be honest. As I honestly believe that when we hustled and harried them into rushing there football, we were much the better team. It wasn't pretty stuff from Leicester at times, but the hard-work of the players, after admiring there football for the first 30 minutes, got its reward. A couple of tweaks from Pearson helped, and the substitutions topped it off. Although Pearson intially got the set up wrong, he was quick to amend, and it worked. A not so pretty job well done. Can we play them every week????
Guest ttfn Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Absolutely, you just dont deserve it as much as those who braved the cold and paid the ticket price today Why? The cup and the league aren't mutually exclusive. Would you say then that somebody who goes to 3 games a season and happened to go today is more worthy of a ticket to a big game than somebody who pays lots for a season ticket? Congrats to those who did go, but as I'm fresh out of medals, the satisfaction of seeing your team win should suffice.

I yanked your chain and got the reaction I expected
Wycombe Fox Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Was Bernie at the game today as my 12 year-old swears blind he saw him in Southampton today.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Was Bernie at the game today as my 12 year-old swears blind he saw him in Southampton today. Yeah we saw him outside the chippy near Welford Road. Was hilarious.
Matt Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Not the best of games, Didn't expect it to be tbh, I thought defensivly we were very poor, but we made more chances, and I think it could and possibly should have been more than a 2-1 win. Happy, When it was 1-1 I was almost willing them to score and knock us out rather than getting the replay, but up popped N'Guessan! Liverpool Away next round please.
David Guiza Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 That King, he's shit eh? He should have scored that other chance, good save but bad miss. Good finish for his goal and miles better then Oakley again though.
lou Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Yeah we saw him outside the chippy near Welford Road. Was hilarious. I honestly dont get what people find funny about Bernie... he stinks to high heaven is as pissed as a fart and clearly very mentally unstable. Quite sad really and a bloody nightmare if you end up stuck next to him at a game
bigneville Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 He should have scored that other chance, good save but bad miss. Good finish for his goal and miles better then Oakley again though. Not that Oakley was any good today. But you play King at right midfield, and Matt Oakley in centre midfield. And Oakley will play well and King look out of position. Oakley has been poor, but he is playing out of position.

Bugg Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Yeah we saw him outside the chippy near Welford Road. Was hilarious. I saw him aswell, it was hilarious listening to him.
Daggers Posted 2 January 2010 Author Posted 2 January 2010 Yep and the same people who couldnt be arsed to go today will be clammering for tickets for the next round if we do get a big Prem club Yep - that'll be me. I cherry pick my games this season and I don't feel in the least bit bothered about what anyone thinks of me for it.
lou Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Yep - that'll be me. I cherry pick my games this season and I don't feel in the least bit bothered about what anyone thinks of me for it. I havent got a problem with anyone cherry picking games.... as long as I get my 4th round ticket ahead of them and am left alone to act all superior on here for the next few days
Fox92 Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Yep and the same people who couldnt be arsed to go today will be clammering for tickets for the next round if we do get a big Prem club Of course I will. Why should I go today? Money is tight as it is, its just been Christmas, I would need to set off at 12 and not get home 'till 6.30 - 7.30 depending on traffic, there is roadworks on the M1 as it is, I'll probably be going to every game this month, I have already got a season ticket and its against a Championship side who I have already seen this season. You live in Leicester, so its close for you. I would rather save my money but if you want to spend your's thats alright. You can call season ticket holders all you like for not forking out the extra pounds to go to a cup game, but fact of matter is there's plenty of benefits around for others, especially kids getting in for a quid, or even free, and yet season ticket holders get little to no benefit as the season progresses. Ok, so season ticket holders shell out a lot to begin with and gain the benefit of getting games for less over a season, and 10% off at the shop, but the benefits stop right there. Jan 2nd, right after Christmas and New Year and spending has been up for most, so you can't blame people for not turning up and call them lazy and the like. What? I don't know what that makes you but it's a pretty lame attitude. Why? Just because I didn't go. Sure..... That'd be me. I pay £xxx to have a season ticket every season and I can go see us play Swansea twice a year in a competition we can do well in (the league). Just because I didn't go today, doesn't mean I don't deserve a ticket for the next round. Exactly. But, obviousley, we can't make our decisions. Absolutely, you just dont deserve it as much as those who braved the cold and paid the ticket price today You didn't have to though. Why? The cup and the league aren't mutually exclusive. Would you say then that somebody who goes to 3 games a season and happened to go today is more worthy of a ticket to a big game than somebody who pays lots for a season ticket?Congrats to those who did go, but as I'm fresh out of medals, the satisfaction of seeing your team win should suffice. Agreed. I pay a lot of money, season ticket and travel and everything at the game and missing out one FA Cup game doesn't entitle me to the fourth round ticket

Guest ttfn Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 I yanked your chain and got the reaction I expected Apologies at my inability to read sarcasm through the medium of text. Presumably you yanking my chain resulted in me flushing away the shit... (awaits chain-yanking response)
lou Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 did you get stuck next to him at a game? several times over the years
Ford Super Sunday Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Of course I will. Why should I go today? Money is tight as it is, its just been Christmas Yeah mummy and daddy can't fund you for the next few weeks. Shame you can't stop funding your short sighted and pathetic attitude.
Daggers Posted 2 January 2010 Author Posted 2 January 2010 I havent got a problem with anyone cherry picking games.... as long as I get my 4th round ticket ahead of them and am left alone to act all superior on here for the next few days Aha - but I've got all of my away stubs from last season...if we get to Wembley I am totally trumping other people in order to get my ticket

C-man Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Why? Just because I didn't go. Sure..... You said you were glad you didn't go. What fabulous things did you get up to instead? (I don't really care, please don't divulge) To me, saying that you're glad you didn't attend a decent performance and a win in the FA Cup is a bit lame. Each to their own though.
David Guiza Posted 2 January 2010 Posted 2 January 2010 Not that Oakley was any good today. But you play King at right midfield, and Matt Oakley in centre midfield. And Oakley will play well and King look out of position. Oakley has been poor, but he is playing out of position. I agree, but i do think if King was to be on the wing he would atleast attempt to stay out wide or run. I think it shows a lack of confidence in the other wingers on Pearsons behalf and shows that he would rather accomidate 3 centre midfielders rather then drop one and therefore have more competition for places.

Was quite funny, Just kept repeating, "I HATE THA DARBAYYYY" for about 5minutes, and we wern't playing Derby It's just how everyone knows him i think, and how hes easily recognisable. Yeah mummy and daddy can't fund you for the next few weeks. Shame you can't stop funding your short sighted and pathetic attitude.
