Asha Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Was scored by which player? Professional game only please. Can be for any team, the team you were supporting or the opposition....just so long as you were at the game. - - - The first goal I ever saw live was scored by Wycombe striker Sean Devine at Meadow Lane in the autumn of '99.
Guppy Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Stan Collymore for us when he bagged a hattrick in a 5-2 win over Sunderland in March 2000. Not a bad game to be the first I'd been to, or at least remember being at.
Fosse Boy Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Mark Draper or Anders Limpar. Can't remember if us or Everton scored first...
Corky Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Jimmy Willis. Unfortunately, it was for Qpr- an own goal.
Cobbo Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Crikey - it was in 89/90 I think at Maine Road. Someone for Sheff Weds in a 1-0 for them over Man City...I remember Niall Quinn had a goal disallowed but can't remember the Sheff Wed scorer!
BoneDog Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 I think mine was Nigel Clough scoring for Forest against Leicester in December 1988. It was a League Cup match at The City Ground. If it weren't Clough it was Lee Chapman.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Pleased to say it was Gary Coatsworth scoring that screamer against Luton at Filbert Street.
Wycombe Fox Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Rodney Fern v Bristol City at Filbert Street 18th October 1969
Alexikokopops Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 I think my first game was Lincoln 0-6 Barnet in the 1991/92 season. I have no idea really, I just know it was around that time and think it was against Barnet. I went with Beavers and sat on the terracing in the Stacey-West stand. That's probably the reason I supported Leicester (family team) over Lincoln (where I grew up). No one enjoys a 6-0 thrashing.
JimmyK Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Anyone give me a hand with mine? I'm almost certain it was in a 1-0 victory over Wolves in 1994 (in what I think was my first match), and being only 5 or so at the time, my memory is very vague. It might've been Iwan Roberts.
Granno Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Steve Claridge for Millwall, Leicester 4-1 Millwall, December 2002.
Wycombe Fox Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Anyone give me a hand with mine? I'm almost certain it was in a 1-0 victory over Wolves in 1994 (in what I think was my first match), and being only 5 or so at the time, my memory is very vague. It might've been Iwan Roberts. 27th November 1993 v Wolves at Filbert Street. Iwan Roberts scored both goals in a 2-2 draw. Could this be it?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 In my first game. Sheff Wed 1-0 Leicester Paolo Di Canio penalty after he dived but I cant reember it go in! August 1997 that was.
davieG Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 It was at Filbert St in '62, I don't know who it was but it was a team in red/white striped shirts and was an over head kick from the left side corner of the penalty area at the Kop end.

Howard Riley? 27th October 1962 v Sheffield United? Ken Keyworth or Graham Cross? Just a couple of possibilities - jog any memories?

Fosse Boy Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Steve Claridge for Millwall, Leicester 4-1 Millwall, December 2002. Remember that game. Got tickets in the away end because Millwall were banned so the club gave out cheap tickets to local schools. Think that day was the first time I ever heard my dad swear. He gave that twat Wise a mouthful of abuse and then gave me a look as if to say "it's alright son, go ahead".

I remember seeing the Millwall team bus turn up, and people were lobbing bottles at Wise when he got off
StanSP Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 I think it was against Newcastle and we drew 1-1. They scored first and can't remember the scorer though.
Corky Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Steve Claridge for Millwall, Leicester 4-1 Millwall, December 2002. That really was surreal, due to the no away fans policy. No noise at all when he scored.
syston_fox Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 That really was surreal, due to the no away fans policy. No noise at all when he scored. and then a ripple of applause. Mine was Julian Watts just on half time to give us the lead against chelsea in October 1996.... sadly Vialli came on at half time and destroyed us. Randomly in my first ever game Watts scored against us for Sheff Weds reserves in an FNF fixture. Can't imagine he scored many goals in his career so to see him bag on my first ever game and first professional game is just bizarre!
lou Posted 11 January 2010 Posted 11 January 2010 Chelsea scoring against us at home in 1978 but I cant remember who scored... I was only bloody 12 and didnt pay that much attention
