dandannieldanok Posted 11 July 2010 Posted 11 July 2010 I can see another Vettel/Webber incident today. Webber's obviously very unhappy with Vettel getting the new front wing from his car. The body language between the two of them after qualifying spoke for itself really and Webber's comment in the press conference about Vettel getting the new front wing, "I think the team is happy with the result today", maybe refers to him feeling that RBR are favouring Vettel. Yea, despite his cool exterior I can imagine Webber will be fuming inside, I know I would be. If Vettel doesn't have the best start, he could have a first corner collision with Webber.
Narborough_fox Posted 11 July 2010 Posted 11 July 2010 Vettel puncture, Hamilton now up to 2nd and Buutton up to 8th. Good start for McClaren.
Wycombe Fox Posted 11 July 2010 Posted 11 July 2010 What a first lap!! Webber's a tad cross methinks!
dandannieldanok Posted 11 July 2010 Posted 11 July 2010 @ the ferraris, punctured by your own teammate
Wycombe Fox Posted 11 July 2010 Posted 11 July 2010 And there goes Alonso's rattle! Should be letting Kubica back past him.
Guest Posted 11 July 2010 Posted 11 July 2010 Would be a great result for Button if he can just edge his way to 3rd
dandannieldanok Posted 11 July 2010 Posted 11 July 2010 Great result for McClaren. Webber was never going to be beaten so Hamilton peaked in 2nd and a massive result for Button after yesterday's disaster. Fair play to Webber, was imperious out there, the best way to respond after his team's gaffe.
Brainy Posted 11 July 2010 Posted 11 July 2010 Good predictions IoWF Very harsh for Ferrari but funny nonetheless.
Wycombe Fox Posted 11 July 2010 Posted 11 July 2010 Very harsh for Ferrari but funny nonetheless. It was funny when Alonso said to his team not to radio him anymore. It was like after finishing with a woman "Stop ringing me FFS!" Vettel/Webber is becoming Senna/Prost.
Wycombe Fox Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 I've just had a look at the footage from Hamilton's car when Vettel cuts across him at the first corner and I'm not sure if it's my eyes but it looks like Vettel's right rear already has a puncture. There seems to be too much rim showing indicating pressure loss in the tyre.
Gené and Tonic Posted 23 July 2010 Posted 23 July 2010 Hi all, not posted here in ages! Who was the forumer who works for Force India?
Asha Posted 24 July 2010 Author Posted 24 July 2010 Much better stuff from the Ferrari boys. Fernando so unlucky not to snatch pole and with Felipe third, I've got big hopes of a Ferrari one-two tomorrow.

I'm no Ferrari fan but its good to see them back on the1st/2nd row of the grid, this season has been a disaster for them in terms of the standards they have set but could still mount some kind of challenge in this second half of the season

Even if the boys start bringing in the wins, I can't see the Red Bulls and McLarens failing to score points to the extent we have, and therefore their superior points tallies will prove vital. Would be an absolute dream though.
Brainy Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Got a feeling for the Ferrari's tomorrow unfortunately, McLaren's should be quicker though.. hoping for a wet/dry race.
Asha Posted 25 July 2010 Author Posted 25 July 2010 Yahaaa. 43 points baby. Yes yes yes yes baby. However, I'm not going to lie, the wrong man won. For sure. I'm gutted for Felipe baby because he deserved that....but for us to have any chance in the championship Fernando needed to be first. But yeah, feels about as hollow as USA 2005. But that's a fvcking massive 43 points, and hopefully Fernando can push on and get right back into things. Plus, I won £27.50. Could be worse.
Guest Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Hate Alonso with a passion. Thought Massa was about to smack him with that bottle of champagne
GLC Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Eddie Jordan makes me laugh but he is right! no matter how you dress it up, Massa was told to let Alonso past!
Sparky Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Dark day for the sport, dress it up how you like but it was blatent cheating. Ferrari think they are above the law, feel desperately sorry for Massa. Hope the FIA grow the balls required to investigate this.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 So will the FIA do anything about what is essentially result fixing? Part of me hope it does, because it became such a hollow result that there was no joy in it for the drivers, the team and more especially the fans. There is always an outcry whenever there is seen to be resulting fixing which involves betting, so this should be no different.
C-man Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 Today is a perfect example of why I'll never enjoy watching Formula 1. Absolute farce.
Jimothy Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 If Alonso wins the title by the number of points he gained today, can he really says he's world champion? It's a farce, it's blatant cheating. At least when Schumacher did it against Barrichello he won the title by a country mile. Hope Massa has a storming second half to the season and ends up ahead of Alonso in the standings. Would be good if the FIA have the balls to disqualify Alonso, doubt it though.
Legend_in_blue Posted 25 July 2010 Posted 25 July 2010 A $100,000 fine. I'm sure this will leave Ferrari with a huge dent in its wallet. Ok, so there's been a fair amount of contentious issues this season, Schumacher's opportunistic move springs to mind, but yet this miniscule fine for arguably the worst of all offences is brushed under the carpet with little more than a slapped wrist. It won't be enough to wipe the smug grin off Alonso's face. Oh, if the boot was on the other foot Alonso, you would be kicking and screaming and throwing the dummy out of the pram all week long as you make your way to Hungary.
