Edmund Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 Is he the only striker we have then? To be fair the point he's making is that Fryatt is our only consistent scorer. Waghorn has scored two more than DJ but has played in 23 games whereas DJ has only played 8 games this season. Wether you like it or not he has the second best strike record in our squad this season and we've just shipped him off to our play off rivals. Great deal.
Tony Pine Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 he doesn't want to play for us though, so what do you want NP to do.

Babylon Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 Probably the newspaper reports saying "i'll go anywhere but back to Leicester"... but of course he'll say he was misquoted
Edmund Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 Probably the newspaper reports saying "i'll go anywhere but back to Leicester"... but of course he'll say he was misquoted That was last season after he was chucked out the squad and forced to train with the youth team. We've been through this already. He made up with NP and openly stated he wanted to play again for the team. Players make mistakes and this was a petty one which was resolved.
Tony Pine Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 nope, he was in the mercury saying he didn't want to play not 2 weeks ago
Edmund Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 Why not? Agreement in the loan I'm guessing. Also with Brown in our defence and Dj's pace we'd be in for one hell of a long saturday. Wouldn't be a good look for Nigel giving a post match interview having been beaten because our own player teared up our defence and got the winner.
dandannieldanok Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 I think people need to get over the fact that DJ will never make it here, whether you like it or not. I don't the see the problem at all in loaning him to Blackpool, if he does well there then fair enough. Loaning DJ Campbell to Blackpool will not harm or improve our chances of making the play-offs in any way, shape or form. The results we ourselves pick up from now until the end of the season will determine whether we make the play-offs or not. Why not? Players are rarely ever allowed to play against their parent club, in fact I can't remember a single example where a loan player has been allowed to play against his parent club.
Corky Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 Players are rarely ever allowed to play against their parent club, in fact I can't remember a single example where a loan player has been allowed to play against his parent club. LuaLua played for Portsmouth against Newcastle, and scored as well.
Fox You Forest Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 LuaLua played for Portsmouth against Newcastle, and scored as well. Yeah I remember one earlier this season he went from Plymouth to Blackpool and ended up scoring the winner, defender I think.
Edmund Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 Loaning DJ Campbell to Blackpool will not harm or improve our chances of making the play-offs in any way, shape or form. Unless it comes down to the last day and were stuck a point behind Blackpool for the last play off place and guess what DJ bags the winner to end our chances. There our plenty of other scenarios as well. Blackpool are our play off rivals can't you understand that? DJ helping them is not a good look.

Those savings perhaps helped pay for Solano and Bruce to come in. Nobody else wanted him!!!!!!

We shouldn't be relying on other teams, I support Leicester City and want to see us win, not sit in front of SSN hoping DJ sodding Campbell doesn't score. If we don't make it then it's our own fault for not getting enough points. What other scenarios? DJ Campbell misses a penalty to take Blackpool into the playoffs? Then what will you say? Yes I understand Blackpool are rivals but so what? I'm not bothered about Blackpool, I'm bothered we win and that only. He's gone, out of here, caput, finito, curtains closed, get over it.
Tony Pine Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 LuaLua played for Portsmouth against Newcastle, and scored as well. good shout

If we don't make it then it's our own fault for not getting enough points. True but you still need your rivals to fail. If DJ helps them get more points it still has as a knock on effect on us wether we win or lose especially if their fighting for a playoff place as we are. Yes I understand Blackpool are rivals but so what? I'm not bothered about Blackpool, I'm bothered we win and that only. Read above. Of course were not concentrating on Blackpools results but it will indirectly effect us if were both fighting for the same spot. Just because we concentrate on our own results doesn't mean we all of a sudden ignore how others around us our doing? At the end of the day other teams performances will have a say on were we are placed wether we win or lose.

Thanks for stating the obvious..... Does anyone actually know whether he can play or not. I know it depends on on the agreement but does anyone know what the agreement says?
dandannieldanok Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 Thanks for stating the obvious..... Does anyone actually know whether he can play or not. I know it depends on on the agreement but does anyone know what the agreement says? Yes he can't play, it's been said already, he can't play. Ian Stringer announced it when the loan deal was announced. He can't play. He can't play.
marbelladave Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 The Blackpool OS says he is not 'available', so I guess it must be in the agreement. Shame. As has been pointed out by others, it is not compulsory that a player is not allowed to play against his parent club, it depends on the agreement, I was kind of hoping he would play. Would have been hugely amusing!

He can't play.He can't play. Keep your shirt on! It is perfectly possible that we agreed to let him play, which would have been a hoot! But if we did not and it's in the contract, fair enough...
lildave3 Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010  It's DJ pissing Campbell, not Ronaldo. Jesus christ.
marbelladave Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010  It's DJ pissing Campbell, not Ronaldo. Jesus christ. Which is why it would be a hoot, not a revelation!... :D

Monaco was it??
Shipman Out Posted 3 February 2010 Posted 3 February 2010 Apart from Edmund you really are a bunch of dense fools. How old are you all? I sense 13-16 He will not be elligible to play against us, that was reported the minute he left! and your still debating whether he will or not, get to your exam factory or spend your time coming up with some songs to sing on the terraces oh no youve never had the chance to stand at a game poor poor children. Loaning a player to someone above you who is competing for the two remaining play off spots* is a shocking decision. If they were the only club in for in id say no fook off your taking the piss your not having him hollowhead custard maker. *WBA/Forest have one, Cardiff will get the next.

Get over it, you rate DJ, most on here and the management at City don't. Loaning players we don't need or want to anyone is good business, if Blackpool end up above us in the league it'll be because we haven't performed not because we loaned them a misfit like DJ. PS. I have socks that are more than 16 years old and you are the one acting like your balls have yet to drop.
