dandannieldanok Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Gallagher can't count a striker, he's not played up front. But he can count as a striker, because that's his position. There's no football league law that says if a striker is played on the wing he isn't allowed to ever play up front again.
Matt Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Why dont we just sell DJ for a cut price? We cant get rid of him anyway and all loaning him out does is get him off the wage bill. I may have dremt this aswell, but I think we were willing to let DJ go for free (Or cheap atleast) to Blackpool last summer, but they couldn't afford his wages. I'm not sure as I said I may have dreamt it but have it in my head that it happened.
hackneyfox Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Pretty sure you're right Matt, we were never going to get a large amount for him (he's been sussed) and nobody was ever going to spend 500k signing him and pick up his salary as well. In fact he's that shite than nobody would take him on a free and pay his salary. I wouldn't be surprised if we were willing to let him go on a free and give them a lump sum to help pay his wages, but due to him being shit nobody would take him for the rest of this season and next.
milan_foxes Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Is this the second loan Stringer was on about? No, he said earlier that he doesnt have a clue who the other one was and if a deal fell through.
The Stig Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 After what he has done for this football club it amazes me people continue to doubt Pearson. If he doesn't think he should be playing for this football club who are we to argue.
Shipman Out Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 This makes no sense!!! Why Loan DJ Campbell to BLACKPOOL!!! our potential play off rivals. Here have one of our players to strengthen your team and get in the play offs instead of us. You do not loan your players to clubs in and around you, this decision is a complete joke. Let me make it clear, i dont mind the fact hes gone but the club he has gone to is a SHOCKING decision from our point of view

I get fed up of hearing about how stupid the club is for not playing DJ, he's obviously not rated or wanted here.

How stupid will we feel if DJ takes them into the play-offs at our expense?

marbelladave Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 Anyone know if Campbell is eligible to play against us at the weekend? I know it is normal practice for the contract to forbid loan players turning out against their parent club but this does not have to be the case. We don't want him back, so would we be bothered, especially if there is money involved?

Guest Mee-9 Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 Don't see why people are moaning about Campbell leaving. He's been a flop. If he's not involved in NP's plans for the squad. Why bother with him?

Why bother with him? what a shock you idiots got the wrong end of the stick!!!! Im NOT moaning about him leaving it who he has let him JOIN.......Hello McFly! Of course he improves Blackpools team there ABOVE!!!! us and they have as much chance of reaching the play offs as we do You dont lend players to teams who are in direct competition with you for a play off spot SIMPLE. Whoever they are.

sbfox Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 And how many goals has Yann Kermogant scored thus far? How many times has Kermogant started up front? Once, maybe twice?
Edmund Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 How many times has Kermogant started up front? Once, maybe twice? And how many times has DJ started up front this season

sbfox Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 And how many times has DJ started up front this season Wasn't really bothered about that, was just commenting on the fact that the bashing of Kermo was pretty unjustified...
Babylon Posted 2 February 2010 Posted 2 February 2010 And how many goals has Yann Kermogant scored thus far? Is he the only striker we have then?
