ramboacdc Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 DJ Campbell goes to Blackpool on a season long loan deal. He cannot play Saturday.
StanSP Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Straight from Stringer . Think this time it will end up permanent in the summer.
dandannieldanok Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Bloody hell we'll never shift him permanently
Babylon Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Straight from Stringer .Think this time it will end up permanent in the summer. People know they have us by the short and curlys though and will keep trying for loans.
Edmund Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Bollocks. Was hoping we'd have our goal machine back.
Babylon Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 When does his contract run out? The summer? Nope... one more year after this!!!!!!
lildave3 Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Is this the second loan Stringer was on about?
Guest Bilo Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Go on Ollie, do the club you failed a favour and make it permanent.
Corky Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Nope... one more year after this!!!!!! Until it gets extended
Guest Mee-9 Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Why can't we shift him? He ain't a bad player. Every team's going to be fishing for loan deals off us now for him every transfer window.
Matt Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Nope... one more year after this!!!!!! Really, Bloody hell. Personally I wouldn't mind trying him out here but he's clearly not in Pearson's plans and if we're not going to play him may aswell let other clubs pay his wages - Or atleast a percentage of his wages. Is this the second loan Stringer was on about? Wouldn't surprise me.
Matt Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Why can't we shift him? He ain't a bad player. Every team's going to be fishing for loan deals off us now for him every transfer window. £££'s. I'd guess Blackpool are not paying all of his wages. They actually wanted him last summer didn't they, but he wanted too much, or did I dream that?
Simo86 Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Why can't we shift him? He ain't a bad player. Every team's going to be fishing for loan deals off us now for him every transfer window. He won't take a cut in his wages until he has to, thats why! The greedy......
surrifox Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 He won't take a cut in his wages until he has to, thats why! The greedy...... to be fair- would you?
Matt Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 to be fair- would you? If I was on £20k a week, Yes. I'd be happy with £10k, infact i'd be happy with £1k a week.
davieG Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 If I was on £20k a week, Yes.I'd be happy with £10k, infact i'd be happy with £1k a week. Not if you've got financial commitments like a mortgage with fixed payment levels for the duration of his contract.
Thracian Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 He won't take a cut in his wages until he has to, thats why! The greedy...... Why should he take a cut in wages? Who on here would voluntarily take a cut in wages? We were daft enough to give a long, lucrative contract to a player we've never made best use of and who some might say have never tried to make best use of. Other Championship clubs seem more than keen to keep him when he goes on loan so I really don't see the excuse or reasoning for how we've treated the guy. At no time has he had anything like a steady run in the team and even his early appearances seemed to be played against the background of problems with a persistent injury.
maddog Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Very foolish by NP. He will score there and our strikers may continue to fail. Fryatt, Kermo, Waghorn, Howard. Doesn't fill me with much confidence really. Gallagher can't count a striker, he's not played up front.
suffolk fox Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 I still think he would be useful to have coming off the bench for the last 20 mins to run at defenders? Unfortunately for whatever reason NFP does not like him and he isn't in his plans! Let's hope at the end of the season he does go to someone else permanantly? Thing is as has been said you can't blame the player for being given a lucrative ridiculous contract? MM needs some if not all the blame here he must have sanctioned the transfer in the 1st place!
hackneyfox Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 He's played a full 90 He's come off the bench for the last 20 as an impact sub He's been dog shit whenever he's played for us. Glad, very glad to see the back of him.
MPH Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 He won't take a cut in his wages until he has to, thats why! The greedy...... to be fair- would you? vaild point. If I was on £20k a week, Yes.I'd be happy with £10k, infact i'd be happy with £1k a week. Its easy to say it NOW... and i agree with you... but once you have earnt that money for a while.. im sure we would both get accustomed to it!

Agree 100% with the DJ part. Milan is suppose to be an astute businessman but he really has shown in the past how not to run a football club. The fact we had so many managers in short time was always going to cause problems. How he could let a manager sign DJ on such a long contract and then sack him is beyond me
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 February 2010 Posted 1 February 2010 Why dont we just sell DJ for a cut price? We cant get rid of him anyway and all loaning him out does is get him off the wage bill.
ramboacdc Posted 1 February 2010 Author Posted 1 February 2010 as SSN just said there hasnt been that many huge transfers and mostly loans due to availibiliy of money. reccesion init
