Simo86 Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 Weale Morrison Berner Hobbs Brown Gallagher Oakley King N'Guessan Waghorn Howard Subs- Logan, Wellens, Dyer, Bruce, Kermorgant (if fit), McGivern, Solano If Kermorgant isn't fit then maybe put Chamberlain on the bench as another forward option

Gallagher alongside Oakley and King, Gallagher to be the creative option. Waghorn to the right, Dyer to the left and N'Guessan down the middle.
martyn Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 Weale Morrison Hobbs Brown Berner King Oakley N'Guessan Gallagher Dyer Waghorn Subs: Howard, Kermorgant, Wellens, Bruce, Neilson, Solano, ? Shouldn't knee jerk and change back to 4-4-2 immediately. See how the first half goes and the bench gives flexibility to change tactics/system depending on the pattren of play.

Decent.
StanSP Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 That 4-3-3 with Dany, Waggy and Dyer as front 3 looks pretty speedy and creative. But I can't see Wellens not playing. Think Dany will be on the bench.

jimmer Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 I imagine something like this.... Weale Morrison--Hobbs--Brown--BernerOakley---King---WellensWaghorn-----------------GallagherHoward Could drop wellens for Gally in that formation and leave N'guessan up top for wide left stiker/winger Hopefully Howard can fill in for the lone striker role. although he hasn't the pace of Fryatt Maybe a more traditional 4-4-2 WealeMorrison--Hobbs--Brown--BernerOakley--King--Wellens--GallagherWaghorn--Howard

Fox You Forest Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 Please no Gallagher he is shit. I thought he was one of our better players yesterday (defence apart) up until the miss, did well at Blackpool and against Newcastle too.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 I thought he was one of our better players yesterday (defence apart) up until the miss, did well at Blackpool and against Newcastle too. He cant pass, cant shoot, cant cross, cant create and offers very little. He wasnt too bad against Newcastle, he was ok at Blackpool but did give the ball away a lot then too. Rather Dyer anyday.
Fox You Forest Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 He can't pass, can't shoot, can't cross, can't create and offers very little. Hang on a minute, are we talking about Wellens or Gallagher?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 Hang on a minute, are we talking about Wellens or Gallagher? Both!! Wellens hasnt had a 'good' game since September, so I'll agree with you there! And at least Gallagher looks before passing, Wellens is hit and hope.
ousefox Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 ------------------------Weale---------------------- Morrison -----Hobbs-------- Brown---------Berner ---------------King----------Wellens--------------- Waghorn-----------Oakley-------------N'Guessan -------------------Gallagher--------------------- I really want to see Gallagher actualy in a proper forwards role as he seems quite a similar player to Fryatt in terms of his speed and physical attributes.

Gallagher has had the chance up front, against Bristol at home and during this 4-3-3 system, and he is not up to it. Same team as you have there but Waghorn up front with Dyer for Gallagher.

Oakley wasted a corner and a free kick in the last couple of minutes yesterday, for that and for being shit all season, he should be dropped.

StanSP Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 How can you play Solano in the middle? Won't get many crosses in from there if he's stuck in a midfield battle all game.
mmarkie Posted 10 February 2010 Posted 10 February 2010 How can you play Solano in the middle?Won't get many crosses in from there if he's stuck in a midfield battle all game. Which is why I put him on the wing
