Rocky Dennis Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 It's gutted, the whole place went up... caused £57.80 worth of damage. Nice One!!!
CosbehFox Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Speaking of mini buses! that pisses me off it's prefectly legal for these baboons to drink in mini buses on there way to places, but it's against the law for us normal football fans to do that joke I suspect the coppers are going to push for laws that they use for football fans in terms of Section 7's, drinking etc. Give it a year, they will have a grip on them. Their leader Tommy Robinson gets nicked every march now without fail in the hope the coppers have something on him. It pisses me off when people slag off the Police and Council. They may be useless at most things, but they realise these goons are coming to town and they're actually trying to be proactive about things - ''There will be disruption in the city centre today and we are expecting more crowds than usual so this is just to remind people not to come into the city purely to show that you oppose what the protestors stand for. The best thing you can do to support the unity and cohesion of the city is come to the “We are One Leicester” celebration event taking place tomorrow on Humberstone Gate, between 1pm and 4pm. If you would usually come into town on a Saturday but want to avoid it today, there are lots of activities taking place at youth centres, Sure Start Centres and swimming pools across the City. The council website and local press have details of these.'' They've done a reasonable job, it's been a relative success but it's come at an enormous cost of the taxpayer sadly. So at the end of the day when the EDL boys go home, what do they think they have achieved from this? Apart from ranking up a massive police bill, causing alt he local residents major inconveniences, and giving themselves more bad press. Nothing. They will claim a victory but a victory against who? They have grown too big, too fast, have no PR spin and no proper leadership. What they have done is united a city against them and made the day for the average man (the very average man they are trying to target) a bit costly and a inconvience. In fact in some cases, they have lost people a day's pay. The sad part has been a lot of asian lads out for anyone who fits a profile's blood Not really a fight, is it? Another game of mass hokey-cokey. Quite funny watching them scatter as the cops jogged up. Primark, M & S and JJB all got the windows smashed. My mate says the mosque they tried to attack got fireworks thrown at it, in an attempt to burn it down. What mosque was this then? There isn't one in the city centre and an odd window smashed is quite good really. Jme, I fully intend on taking the train to Chesterfield FC. After reading the sirens and the roads closed, I gave it a swerve. Fully well knowing that because I was wearing a Fila t-shirt and adidas Stockholm-alike's, I'd have some pondlife thinking I am an enemy. So I went in the car. fooking disgraceful really.
CosbehFox Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 The world need to open its eyes. As does the media, you get all this crap about Racism being aimed at black people all the time, but I think more racism is directed towards white people. Sorry mate but you need to open your eyes. A few doughnuts around Leicester shouting bollox is hardly a conclusive indicator that more racism is directed towards white people. Been plenty of cities and places where there's little or no Asian/Black community and the racism is quite disgusting.
Guest Bilo Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 EDL I think, thats what he said anyway. I agree with what jme said.I know im going abit off topic, but a few of my close family members work in the Hospitals around Leicester, and they've been called names like, "White scum, White Trash" and have been accused of being racist if they cannot fulfill a Indian/Black persons needs. The world need to open its eyes. As does the media, you get all this crap about Racism being aimed at black people all the time, but I think more racism is directed towards white people. Agree with the first half, anybody who racially abuses another human being is an absolute weapon, regardless of their ethnicity. The second half I'm not so sure on. The EDL brought 2,000 racist idiots today, no other ethnic group could put together that many people specifically to abuse white people. Even the most infamous verbal attack on British troops in Luton contained less than 50 twats. I can honestly say I've never been racially abused by an Asian or black person but how many Asian or black people can say the same? Not as many as white people I imagine, not by a long chalk.
sdb Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 ahh ok, I geddit. I agree. Guess what the poster was trying to infer is that Stoke has a bedrock of these types of nutters and we don't want them anywhere NEAR our city. I wouldn't wish this sort of bullshit demonstration on any City, not to mention the disruption it causes. But at the end of the day, credit is due to our City, it has shown that we do not welcome racist scumbags and more importantly, we are a city that embraces diversity and celebrates it. Imagine the nightmare if these EDL ****ers wanted to plan this demo to clash with the opening of the Diwali lights on belgrave road? ( the fact that Diwali is a hindu celebration and not an islamic one would be of no relevance to those fooking dinosaurs) amen brother!

Yeah I see your point, maybe i stressed my point abit too far I get abit carried away with the topic of Racism. Sorry for the OTT reaction

Wise words. Shouldn't tar everyone with the same brush. Give respect and you'll get respect.
Bugg Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 The EDL are really pathetic, just looked at the forum and they spout shit like "we won today". They make it obvious that they don't care about Islamic extremism, all the want to do is fight. Pathetic Cunts.
Guest Bilo Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Hearing a couple of whispers about the Baby Squad giving the EDL a bit of a kicking. Not sure how true it is though.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Thinking about it. Now the demo's finished. I wonder how many EDL members will end up going down the pub tonight, and getting a curry for dinner.
CosbehFox Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Hearing a couple of whispers about the Baby Squad giving the EDL a bit of a kicking. Not sure how true it is though. That's got the most awful rumour I've all day. You mean the Baby Squad who contain a number of NF and BNP members? Remember when they say the words non-violent again....look at this, pathetic.
Ozwin Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 ****ing hell, so they went around looking for ethnic minorities and basically just started on them all day? Is it true that two people got stabbed at the clock tower?
CosbehFox Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 ****ing hell, so they went around looking for ethnic minorities and basically just started on them all day? Is it true that two people got stabbed at the clock tower? 1) It was more that basic gangs of lads from the likes of Highfields and St Matthews of muslim origin went looking for trouble. 2) No, another load of bullshit.
Guest bennytwohats Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Is it true that two people got stabbed at the clock tower? Pretty sure that would be much bigger news if it were true, so i'm guessing not true.

Remember when they say the words non-violent again....look at this, pathetic. It's all over the Leicester EDL's Facebook page, hardly the best medium but it is there. If it did happen, and it's a big if I agree, it will have been more to do with fan rivalry than politics though. Would still be a happy coincidence.
BoneDog Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 but what if the perpetrators *are* muslims? Does that make everybody wrong? Muslims need to hold up their hands and actually say ' we have an extreme minority that is NOT representative of islam as a faith that is set on defaming the beliefs of ordinarily, peaceful harmonious muslims AND WE ARE GOING TO FIND OUT WHO THESE ****ERS ARE AND TUEN THEM OVER' instead of this ' no comment' bollocks that is always said. Moderate muslims and the society at large MUST strive to differentiate peaceful Muslims themselves from the scumbag extremists in order to move forward, but whilst they continue to drag their heels and not recognise this, joe schmoe will sign up for retarded groups like the EDL in their thousands. I agree that there are some extremist groups in Islam but the people who start these groups are not really Muslims (an obvious example Bin Laden aka Tim Osman). Alot of the people they get in their groups are Muslims but the plans are always started by intelligence agency assetts like Bin Laden or 'Tim Osman' as he used to be known. Also, the top folks in the Taliban used to be backed by Clinton et al and were even shown around Mount Rushmore and other tourist sites in the US when invited over there for planning and whatever else they were up to. Clinton also gave them quite alot of dollars (a few years before 9/11) to help them along with their subjugation of Afghanis. There are many examples of extremist groups who were heavily backed by US/Israeli/British agencies. Even Hamas was created by Israel, but not for the reasons they say. And proper Muslims don't use 'no comment' as an excuse. They do speak out and have had many demonstrations against extremism. These demos don't get on the news or in the papers though (for some strange reason) so I suppose that people don't get to hear about them.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Police don't help really, they made the EDL walk back through Highfields and St. Matthews, silly thing to do don't you think? And the local youth seemed to be looking for a fight a lot more than the EDL did. They charged at them first from what I saw. I was searched today and kept getting stared at by everyone, because of the clothes I was wearing I reckon. At least its all over now though, LCFC next Saturday, back to normal eh lads?
RedHux Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Just protesting against radical islam........ If you like fighting so much guys, join the army. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHfL8iwlP7M Personally, I'm sick of their excuses. "The police were heavy handed, the muslims attacked us, the UAF were singing too loud". The're just thugs. The same thugs that would be kicking each other half to death every Saturday back in the 80s. They use a cause nobody can disagree with to mask their true nature. How does standing in the city centre prevent radical islam? How does gathering in large numbers, singing football songs and breaking windows prevent radical islam? Thankfully, they are attracting exactly the type of idiot that will us the EDL as an excuse to ransack various cities, and that will continue to discredit them as a credible organisation. /rant

Leicester_Loyal Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 The police officers said the only way to go was back through highfields and st. matthews. They werent letting anyone walk through town.
Big Ol' Bob Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 "fooking RAN EM' DOWN THE STREET MATE" Thanks for the commentary Motson.....
The Year Of The Fox Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 Next time our country comes under a terrorist attack, or another regiment marching through the streets of luton get jeered, or a muslim group again try to march through the streets of Wooton bassett,, I'll dig up this thread
Guest lcfc80 Posted 9 October 2010 Posted 9 October 2010 probably get loads throwing toys out of prams now but dont care. just wondering how many know exaclty what the edl are and what they stand for? im not a member of the edl and didnt go town today because i knew there would be a small minority hell bent on kicking off for the sake of it (and the UAF have the exact same minority). I just dont see the massive uproar about the EDL, they are protesting about MUSLIM EXTREMST'S, the same extremist's that have blown up and killed people on our transport system in London and continue to try and disrupt OUR way of life. Granted, not all muslims are extremists but on the same note the EDL aren't protesting against all muslims, just the extremists. another thing that makes me laugh is the lefties, especially that woman from derby who was on the news, they want trouble as much as the extreme edl members, after all, who would the edl have to fight if the lefties and the like didnt turn up trying to confront them? Next time our country comes under a terrorist attack, or another regiment marching through the streets of luton get jeered, or a muslim group again try to march through the streets of Wooton bassett,, I'll dig up this thread well said my man
