Yea a bit silly I no, all I saying is I am against Muslim extremists and on a whole is that wot the edl is about????

Apparently, but most of the EDL are too thick to know the difference between Islam and Extremist Islam.

How on earth does one tell ? :dunno:

We are so often told that the those supposedly responsible for 7/7 were models of society , (playing cricket the night before etc etc)

If it's so easy to tell Islam from extreme Islam , and draw a straight line between the two groups , how come they managed to fool all around them ?

So unless it was an inside job ( please lets not go down there in this thread ), then it really is practically impossible for the average Joe to tell where the next atrocity may occur or who may be behind it .

Four busloads pitched up in Harborough town centre. Apparently more being held at the station too. I aked a roz across the road from WEtherspoons, apparently they were gonna be sent on their way in "under an hour".

"Muslim bombers of our streets" they sing. What you mean these streets that you rocked up in five minutes ago so you could have few cheap shandies before your "protest"? Fuck off.

What makes me really angry is that most of the demonstrators from the EDL will be coming from outside of Leicester.

What gives them the right to come to OUR city and criticise OUR Muslim community, which on the whole is well integrated and not leaning towards extremism?

fook off back to stoke and have a riot there, we are happy with our multiculturalism and makes our city the great city it is.

totally agree with u, apart from the last point which kinda makes u sound as bad as them!

They are not ALL racist scum. That is like saying all Muslims are extremists.

It's really not - you're comparing an elite hardline sect with a set agenda to the second largest religion in the world, made up by a diverse range of different cultures, lifestyles and countries.

It would be more accurate if you compared EDL to Muslim suicide bombers, but I trust that wouldn't favour your argument because both groups are in fact, racist scum.

It pisses me off when people slag off the Police and Council. They may be useless at most things, but they realise these goons are coming to town and they're actually trying to be proactive about things -

''There will be disruption in the city centre today and we are expecting more crowds than usual so this is just to remind people not to come into the city purely to show that you oppose what the protestors stand for. The best thing you can do to support the unity and cohesion of the city is come to the “We are One Leicester” celebration event taking place tomorrow on Humberstone Gate, between 1pm and 4pm. If you would usually come into town on a Saturday but want to avoid it today, there are lots of activities taking place at youth centres, Sure Start Centres and swimming pools across the City. The council website and local press have details of these.''

Hope it's with each other. Imagine the Herts Division (who took Harborough Subway earlier by the way) are unhappy with the better quality stitching on the Walsall Division's hoodies. Nawtee.

Fireworks and bricks have been thrown at police by protesters in Humberstone Gate East near the junction of Wharf Street South.

Supporters in the EDL end of the protest have also thrown coins and beer cans at police.

One officer was seen being led away injured.

Scuffles have also broken at the demonstration.

Officers are now wearing full protective equipment and have moved the cordon back to keep members of the public away from the demo.

Three more people have been arrested in Market Street.

Yep, sounds like they're starting to cause trouble. Four already arrested before this new post - I imagine that number has now trebled -

Officers are dealing with minor disorder among the EDL supporters on Humberstone Gate East.

So far a number of protesters have been detained for possible public order offences.

In line with the policing plan for the protests, further officers in protective clothing have been mobilised and are supporting the police already stationed in the protest area.

Further details on the numbers arrested will be available in due course. The disturbance is within the EDL supporter group, not directed at the counter protesters

So at the end of the day when the EDL boys go home, what do they think they have achieved from this? Apart from ranking up a massive police bill, causing alt he local residents major inconveniences, and giving themselves more bad press.

Surely that's mission accomplished for them?

Hope they've still got enough left to get home.

Sadly it's the bad press they want - It'll encourage other like minded yobs to join their group.
