LCFC-ARAB Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 had to work straight away after the game but only 20 minutes left then i can get shitfaced!
samjohnson Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 THAT day in december didnt see THIS many excuses from the Sherwood tossers... Just admit it... We played better... The pitch was as good as a pitch can get after the downpour we had before hand... Food poisoning my arse... Won on aggregate? I thought this was a league game... Not the League cup Semi's... Injured players? They shouldnt have played then... Billy Davies?? Yes... i know... hes a willy puller... Tough buttons... End of rant... lets get shitfaced
GLC Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Walkers was buzzin after the first goal, loved it! Great game
Thracian Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 3-0 against probably the scummiest bunch of pansies we'll see this season. Every tackle we made they rolled around on the floor like they'd been shot, ridiculous. Plus two players booked for diving wasn't it? They've conned their way to the top by the looks of things. Who said they play the best football in the league too? What a load of BS. Couldn't agree more. Whether a team reflects it's manager IU don't know but they were just a bunch of cheats with their delaying tactics, their contrived injuries and their endless attempts to influence the referee. Times there were two or three Forest players in animated conversations with the whistler quite obviously seeking to impress on him their opinion of various incidents. It was pathetic and it was so impressive that the City players remained aloof, stayed away and simply got on with the game. They were a credit to the club. Still we remain unbeaten in Fryatt's absence and the joy of singing "3-0 on your big day out" in response to the pre-match taunting was to savour. I was right behind the line of Gallagher's free kick and you could see it was going in yards before it hit the net and surely it was as thoughtful and perfectly executed set-piece as we've taken all season. And how it made up for the brilliant chance Gallagher had to chip into the same corner a few minutes earlier. My son asked me who I thought was man of the match and it was so difficult. No-one was a star apart but everyone made their contribution. Berner for his breakthrough goal? Gallagher for the subtle way he put the result beyond doubt? Kingy with his goal and his perpetual hand on City's safety valve? Waghorn for his tireless pressurising of Forest's back line? No. My man of the match would be our collective backline who restricted a previously fast, alert and freescoring Forest line to one effort which bounced off the bar, one piledriver athletically turned over the bar by Weale and precious little else. They might not have a decent distributive pass between them but they were collectively immovable and in all but total control on an exceedingly difficult surface which would surely have left a lesser defence vulnerable. There was no way the game was ever going to be pretty. But as a display of concentrated industriousness, City were outstanding today. And just seing those Forest fans slinking away in hopeless resignation was a joy to behold. .
Guest ttfn Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 In my opinion, the only reason we lost at the City Ground is that Forest's shirts were too red.
bigredone Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Nowt like being a sore loser eh bigredone?'this isn't my opinion, just the radio, but you did rig the pitch' Anyway, what a performance. We were comfortably the better team for long periods and I didn't feel that we were particularly threatened by the Trees at any point. Hobbs was my man of the match, fcuking brilliant As i said........ my opinion is that you took your chances well and we didnt........the pitch was the same for both teams and wether it suited our style of play is irrelivent, We should be able to adapt. I love Forest win lose or draw but excuses like that make us look like a one dimmensional team that cant adapt
davieG Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Today we showed that we can pass as well as hoof and are therefore more adaptable to both the opposition and the conditions. Notts Forest seem to have to ways, trying to pass and gamesmanship (cheating).
Aeropars Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Im asking this in a non-confrontational way: You say forest didnt take their chances but I only remember one which hit the bar and a scuffle in the box?
philce Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 As i said........ my opinion is that you took your chances well and we didnt........the pitch was the same for both teams and wether it suited our style of play is irrelivent, We should be able to adapt. I love Forest win lose or draw but excuses like that make us look like a one dimmensional team that cant adapt Its a shame you have already played Plymouth away, It would be good th hear the excuses for that one! Wes Morgan and Kelvin Wilson spent most of the game today on their arses, trying to con the ref. 1 player booked for simulation (diving to you) 1 player booked for unsporting behavior (Whalehead (Earnsure) for delaying a free kick on the halfway line). 4 mins injury time 1st half and 5 mins 2nd half, for the time your lot were rolling around and moaning in the ref's ears! Getting promoted by cheating wont work, look at what happened to the sheep! Oh isnt that the same manager.......
bigredone Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Im asking this in a non-confrontational way:You say forest didnt take their chances but I only remember one which hit the bar and a scuffle in the box? Their was also the shot your keeper turned over from mckenna, but you no as well as me that if say earnshaws shot had gone in instead of hitting the bar it would have changed the game just as when your first goal went in it gave you a massive boost and knocked the wind out of use. When we played at ours it was just our day everyshot we had went in, today was your day.. i dont think their is alot between us to be honest.
OLD norfox Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Great result, ANOTHER clean sheet. Defence has been fantastic in recent weeks. Massive chance for us now. Agree and a GREAT day to remember Bobby Smith. RIP
somebum Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Just wondering how many of the sad ****s around here were moaning away a few weeks back when we lost, now all of a sudden they brag superiority over the 'Sherwood tossers' and Nigel Pearson IS a good manager after all. Not all, but a hell of a lot of fickle, sad fans around.
Guest Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Some trees fan on 606 seems to think they were all over us until the first goal. An amazing view he must've had from West Virginia
iancognito Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Thought you were very quiet today. I should imagine you need to rate your players for their diving, some of them need ten for artistic merit.I thought our pitch was slanted how much they rolled. Ps I assume you are banned from the forest site as you came here. No, he doesn't care about our little club or the result, that's why he's here. Anyway, back to the important stuff. We won. 3-0 and that more than anything is
Podge Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 fooking loved today, made up for the emptiness after the game at the City ground, came home with no voice and cuts on my legs from the chairs from celebrating . Also aside from the goals what was your favourite moment in the game, I think mine has to be the tackle in the first half from Hobbs when he was face to face with Blackstock or Earnshaw and won the ball with a beautiful slide tackle, just summed up his and the rest of the back 4's game.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Wow, what a pleasing result. Say what you like about the pitch, player antics, whatever, 3 more points are on Leicester's tally. Sadly, it seems apparent Forest where duluding themselves thinking of automatic promotion as to be fair the only two real contenders are West Brom and Newcastle (I think that's a bit too much to expect, but a good idea by Pearson to challenge the players to go for those 2 automatic promotion spots).
Guest DavidJCW Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Just back in from celebreatign the win. :D :D :D :D This is most probably or definitely the best i"ve felt after a win! EVER ! :D EIEIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO UP THE BFOOTBALL LEAGUE WE GO!!!! ! SUCK IT FOREST!!!! THAT'S WHY YOU"RE STAYING DOWN!!!
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 I wasnt at the game but listened to the game on radio nottingham (so not really an unbiased opinion) they seemed to think that the ref allowed your players to get away with alot and that complaints had been made before the game about cheating from leicester by watering the pitch so much it was like a swamp which was done to stop forest playing the fast flowing passing game that we usualy play that hurt you so much when we played at ours....im sure if this was the case we will hear more about it in the next few days through official channels. This is not my opinion it is just what was said on the radio Well there dumb fookers bcuz i didnt see our player falling over and its the same 4 both teams
Ozwin Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Can't wait to see what Billy Davies has to say on the FL Show.
Unit Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Their was also the shot your keeper turned over from mckenna, but you no as well as me that if if if ifsay earnshaws shot had gone in instead of hitting the bar it would have changed the game just as when your first goal went in it gave you a massive boost and knocked the wind out of use. When we played at ours it was just our day everyshot we had went in, today was your day.. i dont think their is alot between us to be honest. Bye bye, go home.
Babylon Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 "There is the orange face paint you umpa fooking lumpa".
Guest DavidJCW Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Loved it when someone told Earnshaw to "GET OFF YOU ****ING ALIEN!"
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 Right, so there's an Englishman, Irishman and Scotmans...
Guest DavidJCW Posted 27 February 2010 Posted 27 February 2010 I wasnt at the game but listened to the game on radio nottingham (so not really an unbiased opinion) they seemed to think that the ref allowed your players to get away with alot and that complaints had been made before the game about cheating from leicester by watering the pitch so much it was like a swamp which was done to stop forest playing the fast flowing passing game that we usualy play that hurt you so much when we played at ours....im sure if this was the case we will hear more about it in the next few days through official channels. This is not my opinion it is just what was said on the radio What a load of shite!!!!!!!! There was nothing wrong with the pitch... I've seen football matches where the ball has literally stopped instead of bouncing properly because the pitch is so wet. Our pitch is in very VERY good condition considering the weather and the groundsmen do a fantastic job of keeping it that way!!!! I think you'll find that this is just a pathetic excuse by bitter Forest fans who can't face facts... YOU ARE SHITE AND THAT'S WHY YOU'RE STAYING DOWN!!!!
