Guest DavidJCW Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Weale 8 - Hardly had anything to do, he fluffed up a couple of crosses but nothing major, actually commanded the back line well and then made a cracking save at the end. Morrison 8 - Played well down that right hand side and I was again impressed by him. Brown 7 - As the Forest fans were chanting every time he was on the ball, he hoofed it far too often... occasionally played some good passes, but all in all, solid today. Hobbs 8.5 - Played very well today. Strong challenges going in from him and solid in the air too. Berner 9 - Excellent game. Looks very strong in that left-back position and never let Forest have a chance down the left. Wellens 7 - Really tried to get stuck in and showed great effort. Probably the best of our midfield today. King 7 - I really don't notice him during games much... but he scored and quietly put in a decent performance today so well played. Oakley 6.5 - Mislaid some passes and wasn't about as much as I'd have liked but all in all, not bad. Gallagher 9 - He is SUCH a threat up front for us. Who needs Fryatt? Great free-kick, good movement and generally looked lively. Waghorn 7.5 - Still my favourite player as he puts in SO much effort all game. Again today, even though he didn't score, he got stuck in and really made their full backs work. Dyer 6.5 - Wasn't impressed with him today to be fair... he sometimes gets stuck in, makes some great runs, but then sometimes just doesn't look like he's bothered. Kermorgant 7 - Can't remember much about his performance other than it was fairly solid... nothing much happened of note. OVERALL 8 - Great effort and result but there was too much hoofing it forward for the first hour and it could have backfired for us. Thankfully it didn't and we're now unbeaten in 8!
Guest DavidJCW Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Filbert Fox - 10 Quality piss-taking. Seconded! He was brilliant!
okie fox Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Weale 8 - Very sound Morrison 8 - Another impressive performance Hobbs 9 - Excellent in air and tackling Brown 7 - Good defensively, 1 point deduction for distribution Berner 9 - Sound in defence, got forward a lot, goal and an assist King 8 - Unsung hero deep in midfield, scored on rare occasion he was upfield Wellens 8 - Set up Berner's goal, worked hard Oakley 6 - Thought he was the weak link Gallagher 8 - Great free kick, very involved Waghorn 8 - Great run early in game, held ball up well Dyer 8 - A couple of good runs, linked up well Kermogant 7 - OK Howard N/A Adams N/A Ref - Why so many yellow cards? Forest - McKenna (#18) stood out

orangecity23 Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Weale 7 Not much to do, but he did it solidly. Morrison 8 Solid at the back, against pacy wingers. Hobbs 9 First half he was absolutely class. Some of his tackles were absolutely outstanding. Brown 9 Brick wall, cleared everything that came near him. Hoofs sometimes, but was making an effort to pass along the floor when he could. Berner 10 Solid defending as usual, good attacking runs, and topped off with a well taken goal and an absolutely heroic block shortly afterwards. Wellens 8 Busy in midfield, harrying and hassling, linked well with King, and a classy backheel for the first goal. King 8 Worked hard, provided good cover in front of the back four, and a nice poachers finish for the third goal. Oakley 6 Huffed and puffed, but is looking too slow these days. Some nice passes though. Gallagher 8.5 Classy on the ball, worked very hard, and a superb free kick. Bravo! Waghorn 8 Not too many chances, but worked tirelessly against a big forest back four. Dyer 7.5 Always a threat on the counter attack, and well involved in the build up to the third goal. Subs Yann 7 Won some really good flick ons. Adams N/A Howard N/A Forest - Speedy, but spend more time on the floor than an axminster carpet. Filbert - Legendry piss taking Forest Fans - So quick to take the piss after their win last time out, giving it the big one, and now desperately scrambling to make excuses or claim they don't care about us. Quick lesson - don't give it out if you can't take it. Grow up. (obviously not aimed at Red Hux or the other decent Tree lovers we get on here, just the smiley spamming halfwits)
Corky Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Weale- 7 (Tipped over a late shot, caught well and looked to play it short rather than go long all the time) Morrison- 8 (Gave the Forest left-wingers nothing) Hobbs- 9 (Immense. Brilliant tackle on Anderson set the tone, won everything in the air) Brown- 8 (Passing wasn't great, but his defending was spot on) Berner- 8.5 (Goal, assist, solid display from Bruno) Oakley- 7 (Good display from the skipper) Wellens- 8 (Lovely backheel, got stuck in) King- 8 (Another goal and another strong performance) Gallagher- 7.5 (Wonderful free-kick, tried to do things) Dyer- 7 (His pace was useful, loved his exuberant celebrations) Waghorn- 7 (One great run early on, struggled with Morgan but still worked hard)

Scow Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Weale - 7 Didn't really have anything to do apart from tipping over a McKenna shot near the end. Morrison - 8 Continued his assured form at right back. Hobbs - 9 Made some terrific interceptions and tackles. Brown - 8 Again, not great on the ball, but coped well against a quick forward line. Berner - 9 A goal and an assist - faultless performance. Must surely be in contention for the Swiss squad? Wellens - 7 Had a busy game in the centre and used the ball much better. Did fantastically well for the first goal. King - 8 Helped us gain control of the midfield with some good coverage and use of the ball. Got into a good position for his goal. Oakley - 6 Ineffectual. While the work rate was there, his distribution wasn't. Gallagher - 7 Wonderful free kick. Good in patches but was well marshalled by the Forest defence. Dyer - 7 Kept Gunter in check with his ability to track back, and like Gallagher, was good in patches. Waghorn - 8 Led the line well against two very physical defenders. Subs: Not on long enough to make a judgement.
Sparky Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 Got keep my feet on the ground ...............Actually fook it, for the joy they brought me this weekend they can all have a massive 10 :city: Forest :w00t:

A fox for life Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Weale - 8Morrison - 8 Brown - 7.5 Hobbs - 8 Berner - 9 (A goal and a unbelievable goal saving block at 1-0, won us the game) Oakley - 7.5 Wellens - 8 King - 8 Gallagher - 8 Waghorn - 8 Dyer - 7 That was an incredible stop! i remember just seeing him fling his whole body at the shot! Great display, Dyer especially had a better game than usual
RowlattsFox Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 Weale -7- Hardly troubled. Morrison -7- Solid. Hobbs -9- Immense. Brown -8- Back to his best recently. Berner -9- Superb, actually forgot about the goalline block until reading this thread. King -7.5- Quiet but effective for most of game but good finish. Wellens -7.5- Always busy. Oakley -7- Worked hard. Gallagher -8- Quality free kick. Waghorn -8- didn't get much joy out of big centre halfs but never gave up and put himself about, superb work rate. I love him. Dyer -7- Can't think of too much he did to be honest but I'm sure was good too.

The Doctor Posted 1 March 2010 Posted 1 March 2010 the starters can all have 9's - except the back four - they get 10's while berner gets an 11 (A performance so good it was off the conventional scale). Of the subs - The Kerminator impressed me most, won his headers and showed a willingness to track back. They all get 7's though.
