Him being out allows others to have a chance to prove themselves as there might have been the expectation for Fryatt to get all the goals before so they didn't have to... Now though, we've got Gallagher who's banging them in, Waghorn who's running everything down and Kermit and Howard on the bench who can mix things up a bit. Now by no means do I think we should sell Fryatt as he's still an extremely valuable member of the squad, but it's hopefully created a bit more competition for those front spots, and a healthy competition too.

SystonFox Posted 28 February 2010 Posted 28 February 2010 heard no end of people discussing how well we are doing without fryatt and do we really need him now? the answer is still yes he is quality and untill we can get a better goalscorer in then we should stick with. however if an offer of £10 million came from Real Madrid i think we could work on something.

The bloke is our best player (possibly Tunchev aside) and was pretty much driving us to the play-offs single-handedly, not just with his goals but with his movement and link-up play. Since then, the rest of the team have really produced some decent form, but yesterday for an hour we missed Fryatt's clever movement up front. As hard as Waghorn worked, he rarely threatened and the ball didn't stick in the same way that it may have done with Fryatt up top. Here's hoping he's back for the play-offs!

I think he'll be back around the Watford home game which gives him a couple of weeks to get sharp for the play-offs.
