killcitykills Posted 14 March 2010 Posted 14 March 2010 Does anyone know if away tickets can be bought on the gate, had this before for London games
Ultra Posted 14 March 2010 Posted 14 March 2010 We have a shocking record at Selhurst Park in recent years, and the pitch there is not the best. Darren Ambrose will probably nick a winner for them.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 I would say I expect a win... but it's away from home, if what is being said is true then the pitch is bad which won't help us and they aren't as bad as their position would suggest... so I'm guessing at a draw. Heart says 2-1 Leicester... head says 1-1 if not a Palace win...
MC Prussian Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 The Palace fans themselves aren't overly optimistic about tomorrow's game, either: http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=198895 Most of them predict a Leicester win (two even have Fryatt on the scoresheet ) and unless Speroni can work his magic just like against Barnsley on Saturday, they're very probably right about the outcome. 3-1 to us, Gallagher, Waghorn and Vaughan to score for the Foxes.
Fosse Boy Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 You just ruined the suprise Dom Which one of you two's streaking? Either way I can't wait...
davieG Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 Defensive concerns for Pearson Leicester manager Nigel Pearson faces a defensive headache ahead of the trip to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Tuesday evening (8pm). Wayne Brown suffered a hamstring injury in training last week so Alex Bruce deputised in defence against Cardiff, making his full debut since joining the Foxes on loan from Ipswich at the start of February. However, Bruce was forced off with an injury against the Bluebirds and it remains to be seen whether he or Brown will be fit. Nolberto Solano filled in at right-back on Saturday and the Peruvian could be asked to do so again should neither Brown or Bruce make it. On-loan Manchester City defender Ryan McGivern is another option for Pearson and could also be recalled. James Vaughan made his debut as a substitute against Cardiff following his arrival on loan from Everton and the striker is pushing for a start along with the likes of Nicky Adams, Steve Howard, Yann Kermorgant and Dany N'Guessan.
Katy Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 I don't think a draw would be disastrous at all, would be in dreamland if we actually won. We have to turn up though, I kind of got the feeling that the players thought they could walk out onto the pitch at Hillsborough and get three points but it's never the case. We seem to under perform against teams who are struggling though, but remember Palace aren't down there because they are pants. Exciting, actually looking forward to this one!
Wycombe Fox Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 On-loan Manchester City defender Ryan McGivern is another option for Pearson and could also be recalled. Palace 10 City 0 <_<
Brainy Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 If we're short at right backs why not Neilson? I know he's not everyones favourite but is he really our 4th choice RB now..
Daggers Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 I hope we inflict enough misery on them to balance out the effect that listening to Neil Danns' single had on me. http://dannzy.com/
Salieri Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 Thought Nobby did a good job at right back on Saturday so we should stick with him there and just move Morrison in the centre with Hobbs.
The Doctor Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 Nolberto Solano filled in at right-back on Saturday and the Peruvian could be asked to do so again should neither Brown or Bruce make it. On-loan Manchester City defender Ryan McGivern is another option for Pearson and could also be recalled. does he really trust neilson that little?
FoxyPV Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 does he really trust neilson that little? that's pretty damning! McGivern being chosen before you! nevermind a 114 year old former attacking midfielder!
Wycombe Fox Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 I might be able to get to this one if there are tickets for sale on the gate. Ferry...£11 Train...£22 Ticket...£25 Possibly seeing Ryan McGivern play...Priceless
The Doctor Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 that's pretty damning! McGivern being chosen before you! nevermind a 114 year old former attacking midfielder! mcgivern did fairly well at cb against Sheff U on boxing day, it's just at left back that he's terrible.
Ozwin Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 Haha, Nielson's pretty much been forced out of the entire squad now then.
Karljohn Posted 15 March 2010 Posted 15 March 2010 Neilson to head back to Scotland in the summer? poor bloke is out of his depth. Would be great to get 3 points and I'll go for Gallagher and Vaughan in a 2-1 win. Draw wouldn't be a disaster though.
StanSP Posted 16 March 2010 Posted 16 March 2010 I had a dream last night which was in similar vein to the one I had on Friday night before the Cardiff match. Ended up winning 3-1 on both occasions, with Waggy getting the winning goal each time. Hope lighting strikes twice!
nuttytimmy Posted 16 March 2010 Posted 16 March 2010 Anyone know what colours we'll be playing in tonight? I'm guessing black but not sure and need to know which shirt to where today, obviously.
marbelladave Posted 16 March 2010 Posted 16 March 2010 Morning all. Just back from Bombay and Goa, still smelling of curry and Kingfisher and preparing for one of my occasional trips south of the river to see us play after missing the last three. Good to see nothing much has changed, great results against sides pushing for promotion and a complete non performance against a Wednesday side struggling to stay in the division. Situation normal... Looks like we might be a bit short at the back tonight, I hope Solano plays as I have seen very little of him at all and I would love to see him play. I feel this will be a tough game, Palace are a decent mid table side and they are fighting hard for their future but if we play well we should win. Having said that I think Pearson might well settle for a draw...
MikeyT Posted 16 March 2010 Posted 16 March 2010 Weale Solano Morisson Hobbs Berner King Wellens Oakley Gallagher Dyer Waghorn Zing! Like that, think i'd go with that as well.
Sods Posted 16 March 2010 Posted 16 March 2010 Win your home games and draw your aways, anything more then the draw is a bonus. Important for us to get back to being harder to beat away from home after Wednesday, im confident but there wont be too much in it.
