this is a game we need to win after dropping 5 points in our last 2 games.

I think Ryan McGivern had another good game last night, that mistake aside (which was followed directly by an error by Chris Weale when Kebbe scored) but that said Bruno Berner is possibly the best left back in the league and we do miss him when he's not playing, so an instant recall is required.

I'd like to see us go for it on Saturday with a really 4-4-2

Weale

Morrison Hobbs Brown Berner

Solano Spearing King Dyer

Gallagher Waghorn

although I realise that ain't gunna happen

Solano looked knackered from the start, he hardly ventured forward and spent most of the game with his 'flipped' hoofs. He's the last player I'd pick so soon after the Reading game and definitely not in midfield where your energy levels generally need to be higher.

Ian Stringer said Pearson said Berner won't be fit but James Vaughan will be fit.

Almost every game McGivern plays he seems to make a mistake that costs a goal, not his fault that he isn't good enough just fact, but looks like we'll have no choice to play him unless we bring someone in today.

So

Morrison Hobbs Brown McGivern

Wellens King Oakley

Ryan McGivern will have to play as Berner still not fit, my back four would be Morrison, Hobbs, Brown, McGivern. Up untill a shocking 20 min performance from NGuessan i would have said he deserved a start on Saturday but after yesterday he needs to decide whether he can be bothered to play or not. I have a feeling we could be very defensive on Saturday in an aim to get something, even if its just a point, out of the game.

I'd much rather prefer Mcgivern to Neilson as left back. Neilson is arguably even worse, and can't even play as a left back

Hard to call.

I really do not expect Pearson to make many changes, Brown for Solano is the only change I would expect, otherwise I think he will just try and get them up for the game.

Earlier in the season I would have been urging some decisive changes but at this stage even !'m not so sure. I would love to see Gallagher in midfield (for Oakley) and Waghorn back on the right, easily his best position in my view. I would have N'Guessan or maybe Vaughan (if he ever gets fit) to lead the line, but at this stage of the season... :dunno:

Oh, and I would ask Chrissie if he feels up for a game...

It was a stop gap as i don't want McGivern on the pitch so swap Morrison and Nielsen (Morrison is good enough to play anywhere at the back). A Cabbage has more positional sense than McGivern at the moment.

I meant to edit it earlier but didn't get a chance :sweating:

We need to freshen things up a bit imo.

GK: Weale

DR: Morrison

DC: Hobbs

DC: Brown

DL: McGivern

MC: Spearing

MC: Wellens/Gally

MC: King

WR: N'Guessan/ Gally

ST: Waggy

WL: Dyer

I would like to see N'guessan play every away day him, Dyer & Waggy on the break is very threatening. I thought Gally played well in the centre against Blackpool and I would play him there if Wellens needs a rest.

I think we really need to win half our games to guarantee a play off place.

The fixtures are:

Derby (a)

Cardiff (a)

West Brom (a)

QPR (h)

Peterborough (a)

Watford (h)

Preston (a)

Middlesbrough (h)

We can beat Peterborough. We can beat Watford. We'll lose to West Brom. If we beat Cardiff, that could pretty much seal it - would be massive win, but I doubt it. We need to beat Derby.

As suggested several hours ago. I doubt Pearson will do anything that decisive though, he will just concentrate on getting our focus back and making sure we are up for the game.

Mind you, with 5 more games in barely 2 weeks maybe he feels that some changes have to be made... :dunno:

We've got to play one of kermorgant or howard if we are going to play long ball like last night. Personally i'd go for kermorgant because , although are about equal in the air, he seems better with the ball at his feet than howard does.

no, he made 1 mistake in my opinion, given the winger against him is premier league class and he isn't a full back I think he played well
