Thought it would be a good idea to have a Blackberry thread, for questions, exchanging pins etc :P So i'll start you off.

Just got one about a week ago the old 8520 Curve.Im on 02 I have unlimited texts, 200 mins but no internet , apart from in Wi-fi areas of course. I want to know if this is why I can't do instant messaging.I have Blackberry messenger which came with the phone but I can't seem to add anyone or recieve any requests.

Help would be much appreciated :P

Bit early isn't it? The Blackberry season is from July to early November.

Yeah I reckon you are probably right re the bb messenger. I pay £5 a month for unlimited internet so haven't had these problems. ;)

Ive got the 8900 curve, some impressive features.

Love my Blackberry I've got one of the ones with the rolly mouses and it fails to roll occasionally but other than that it's awesome....u need to have unlimited internet to get full use of it.

8520 Curve, 600 mins 600 texts and unlimited internet £20 a month.

I think the BB messenger comes with the internet packages as a sly addon.

I've got a Blackberry Storm 2 with T-Mobile. 300 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet for £25 per month with a free handset. Loyalty. ;)

Best looking phone on the market. Simplistically brilliant.

I had the first Storm. Without a doubt the worst phone I've ever owned. Towards the end of owning it I dropped it when strolling through Hyde Park and it cracked the screen in half. I think the performance actually improved after that.

Well I've only had mine about 5 weeks, but got the standard excel/word etc which comes in very useful when tracking mileage/petrol usage. Obviously the MSN client is excellent, best one i've seen byt a long way. Theres the Paypal app, Facebook, Twitter. Youtube player Xenozu.

To be honest,a Blackberry is the phone of the logical thinker - it just has vital apps that you need, not the gimmicky bollocks that you download and never ever use again like the IPhone and other phones. Its a superb phone, and the touchscreen clicky screen is fantastic.

You can get the Guardian paper as an app - thats the one I use the most alongside Google Maps. Sadly, there's bugger all else for free (I refuse to pay any money because most turn out to be pants)

Jesus wept. I never thought it would be possible, but you've managed to come across as more of a smug cunt than the average iPhone user.

"Phone for the logical thinker"

lol

I have a Blackberry through work and an iPhone for personal use. The only thing I ever do on the Blackberry is check work emails. The iPhone on the other hand lets me read bar codes, track how much alcohol I drink, blow into it to play a tune and take a photo made of Lego. It's the pointless shit that makes the iPhone worth owning.
