davieG Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 For those without access to the BBC http://daviegsstuff..../LCFC-v-Watford
MC Prussian Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Thanks for the add. Four great goals - Gally's volley a true beaut. Glad for Spearing and Vaughan finding the net in a premiere. Also: From this TV perspective, it is unclear whether Howard played the ball or not before getting sent off.
rmc Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Total fluke of an assist by Howard for Gally's goal, but what a finish.
davieG Posted 18 April 2010 Author Posted 18 April 2010 Thanks for the add. Four great goals - Gally's volley a true beaut. Glad for Spearing and Vaughan finding the net in a premiere. Also: From this TV perspective, it is unclear whether Howard played the ball or not before getting sent off. It didn't look like he was kicked in the head or anywhere by Watford players as someone has suggested, simply it was a foolish tackle in as safe a position/situation as you could think of.
The Doctor Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 howard's challenge doesn't look as bad on there as i first thought. Judging by the way the ball travelled post tackle i'd say howard played the ball then took out the man. Notice the ref didn't even have a word with the watford player who was first there and grabbed howard round the neck though.
Dylan Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 From the bad angle, i think to me it looks like he played the ball, but looked rash. I still think if anything its only a yellow. Appeal?
Lillehamring Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 can you upload it to your page please, pops...?
Jonezy Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Like Alex Ferguson would say, it was the Watford players, who got Howard sent off by storming to the ref - typical Germans.... Actually, I think considering this is the Championship, that the red was a tad harsh. Also it was never a pen and Vaughan showed class with that goal. Edit: Forgot to thank DavieG..... Thanks DavieG for the efforts. Its really appreciated.
davieG Posted 18 April 2010 Author Posted 18 April 2010 can you upload it to your page please, pops...? Will do this afternoon, I've been finishing off the installation of my refurbed bathroom/shower and toilet. Can't you view it on there?
Tony Pine Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 thanks, came up late after having a beer and missed spearings goal.

jonthefox Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 cheers davie g. looks like bbc i players playing up today.
MPH Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Really appreciate the stuff you do, Davie to get the goals viewable to foxiles. I'm Now settled in NC and loving it but missing city big time!!! On the Howard sending off... I may be wrong... but it looks a little to me like Just before Howard made the tackle he got an arm/elbow near to his face.. rage induced tackle?
Corky Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Our finishing in the last two home games has been very clinical.
StanSP Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Good stuff DavieG Howard's tackle was reckless. Looked 2 feet from behind and was quite unnecessary considering the position he was in. Doubt there'll be an appeal. But as said above, finishing has looked much better. And happy for Vaughan and Spearing to get their goals!
Salieri Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Thought Vaughans goal had quality written all over it, he's looking sharper with every game. Cheers for that DavieG.
kimsalabim Posted 18 April 2010 Posted 18 April 2010 Great performance all round, looked tired in the last 10 mins, but after the first goal we gave them a battering with only 10 men on the park, which begs the question why were most of our players rated 6/10 by the daily mirror? Would have loved to have seen the goals on TV but for some reason TFLS was not on BBC iPlayer this week.. Tho i did see late kick off and as usual, our club gets about 7 seconds of coverage, put against every other Championship team in the region. I didn't think Howard should have gone for that challenge either. He appeared to take the ball from where i was, and if he went, the Watford player should have gone for violent conduct aswell, the ref was a joke. Gallagher's goal was brilliant, and although they were poor at the back, the way we created space for the 2 goals in the second half was brilliant. Hope we make the play off final, we should get 2 hours of coverage on the TV for that game including the match, which even though we have had a brilliant season, and played an outstanding game yesterday, i'm sad to say, would be some kind of record. Just hope we can get the job done now and get into the playoffs. Preston next (who i can't remember us beating in recent history) and Middlesbrough left to go... Hopefully we can get the 3 points which we need because Blackpool have 2 easy games, and Swansea have 1 easy game, tho their trip to Sheff Utd could be tricky.

We beat them 1-0 with a Nils-Eric Johansson goal to keep us in the Championship April 2007
