Just remember boys, its only half time and a long one at that.

Do you reckon three days is long enough to get served a pie and a cup of coffee?

Well, for a start, any team with Jay Bothroyd and Michael Chopra are never going to win any fair play awards. Bothroyd is a talented striker, but our tactics often see us play long balls up to him and as such, he has to put himself around a lot - which results elbows, pushing, all sorts of things. Conversely, he's also one of the most fouled players in our league. He spends half of his time on the grass!

I will admit I had my heart in my mouth watching him today, especially in the second half. You'd have thought he'd be more careful after the booking; I saw him dive at one point (like you say, he was unchallenged) and I was confused why the ref didn't book him again, they are the rules. A massive relief for us though, he's one of our key players.

As for the three penalty shouts Leicester had, I don't think any of them were completely deliberate, the officials probably saw it as ball to hand, although I thought the third one looked very dubious. Cardiff are a lucky team. Strangely we ourselves have been awared a ton of penalties this season and I don't remember many being given against us. On another day, with a different ref, they would have been given. It is hard for me to say but I think if one had been awarded before we scored the goal, you may have gone on to win the first leg.

Like I said in the other post about the Gyepes rugby tackle in the last game you played against us, some of it is just brutal or blatant, it doesn't win us a lot of fans, and I can see how we won't have a lot of neutrals on our side if we make the final! Then there's the whole 'Welsh team in the top English division thing,' which might increase that feeling, it's almost as if this team have a "win by any means necessary" attitude instilled into them.

Ooo ya bleeder. An opposition poster with sense.

you think whittingham would of scored from where the foul was commited, as shown above? NO CHANCE!

I think the larger factor was that Leicester had a one man wall from about 25 yards out against the top scorer of the division.

And thinking about it, a certain Chris Weale had positioned himself rather unfavourably - the empty space to his left was huge.

Just seen the highlights on Late Kick Off.

Showed 2 of the hand balls and they were both penalties imo.

Totally agree. Had that opinion since Sunday and I'm still fcuked off that the ref bottled it. Useless tw@!!

Sorry, as you may be able to tell I'm still angry :D

Having watched the match again I've been reminded what Fryatt did after his one on one chance! I'm not having a go at the lad and don't want to get on his back but he had 3 men to pass to (all in goalscoring positions) and he lobbed the ball over Spearings head! There were two men very near him who he could of played a simple ball along the deck to and I'm certain that either of them would have scored. Can't remember who they were but one of them was around the penalty spot and another (King I think) was just arriving inside the box totally unmarked in acres of space.

It was a terrible, terrible pass to mess up a magnificent opportunity!

On reflection, that battle between Bothroyd and Hobbs was superb throughout. Big, reasonably skilful and yet brutal centre forward against composed and equally brutal centre back. Both booked, both battled hard, both did well. Worth the entrance money alone.

lol i still want to punch fryatt, i was seconds from throwing my monitor across the room lol. Thank god the girlfriend was out am suprised she didnt hear me shouting from the other side of paisley :D

kermorgant on the penalty spot and gallagher on the edge behind fryatt - with the space he had he could even have cut back inside and got himself a second chance IMO

Been a good thread to read this.I think the comments on Bothroyd are backhanded compliments-he knows when hes booed by the opposition hes doing a good job.13 goals this season and countless assists its fair to say had he been on your side you would have done alot better.Hes the type of player that defenders hate. When Dave Jones bought him there were more than a few eyebrows raised down here but Jonsey has turned this lad around big time and I think if we don't go through on wendsday then he and several others will have played their last game for cardiff as the premier league clubs come calling.

Perhaps defenders hate him because he seems to go in with his elbow an awful lot (judging by Sunday at least)? There's no doubt that he's a good player but he'll have to do more than just physically bully people to get on in the premier league

He'll look a right twat doing that against the likes of Carragher, Vidic, Toure, Ledley King etc. He'll be shit in the Prem in my opinion.

he does that against vidic and he'll end up in hospital - almost all of vidic's challenges are GBH

Wish we had someone like Bothroyd, like him alot.

Same, I think he's a quality player at this level. Strong, good in the air but pretty quick on his feet when he needs to be. I wouldn't like to play against him as a Championship centre back week in week out...

Nah, he's a cheat mate!!

For such a big (presumably strong) bloke he goes down far too much, obviously to gain a free kick and/or get his opponent sent off.

He threw himself to the floor at least 5 times on Sunday, did the same thing on the League game.

I Hate Him <_<
