Tilley Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 If we annoy people by singing songs to much then good! is all i have to say about that This is my main problem with your group and why I persisted in being a 'WUM' before actually posting anything constructive in this thread. davieG replied to a poster about him labelling people 'bovril drinkers,' too. I think your group can be very narrow-minded, selfish and plain ignorant. As much as you want to achieve the atmosphere and a successful Ultra group you need to stop being arseholes and actually realise that there is 10's of thousands of people who don't want to join your group. I don't personally don't think the club will be your main stumbling block, I actually think your main problem is yourselves.
Jodranadinho Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 on this occasion, and only on this occasion, i dont mind being labelled as middle aged! i am 38, i was with my fella who is 31 and a dear friend in his 60s. there was plenty of over 40s there. and i am sure we will add to our numbers all age groups, races, cultures, genders etc. lets be honest, does it matter about the ages? teenager fans will be fans long after i have kicked the bucket! sorry if this has been said before.[/quote name=croftfox' date='01 August 2010 - 03:42 PM' timestamp='1280673738' post='1652591] I was just using the term 'middle-aged' to show how diverse the group is and how there is a number of differently aged people involved. I also feel that it is not age that matters, what does matter is if people are willing to get involved, get behind the lads and get the atmosphere back into the kop and maybe even the whole ground!
PS09 Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 0:27 onwards. That is absolute class. Hands off. Is the group planning to do Palace away? Could be a possibility to join the HF for a co-ordinated march to the ground.... Only an idea but I think it is important for the Ultra movement in this country to be seen as peaceful. Best of luck with that. HF would laugh at you. fooking love this. Like I said before, hands off. No email yet from Barclay that i sent yesterday relating to the contact he should make with York City about how to manage visual displays, but i suppose you have to be patient and wait more than 24 hours! On another good note, i have had a response back from Aldershot Town. It turns out their manager set up the "ultras movement" as the Club Secretary put it. He is hopefully getting in touch and i have been requested to speak to the Chairperson of their "ultras" group. I am starting to love York and Aldershot. They bend over backwards for you even though they know you support another team. Then again i was very complimentary about their efforts towards supporters. Here's hoping! Complete and utter crap. Why would a manager do that? The Red Blue Army was started in 2005, but lost it's direction. The Phoenix Supras have picked up the pieces tifo wise. http://www.phoenixsupras.net/photos.php as you can see, better and stronger as the season went on. We now have a benchmark. Most of these groups have all been formed to bring back the atmospheres that were so dominant at games before and add colour too. We are lucky that we still have a decent vocal support. We have also been able to influence the support already just a season in with new chants. Numbers wise for us is a problem. We, like yourselves, only want people in the group who will actually add to it and get involved, helping with making and drawing, setting up and the like.
AndyBrew Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Coming from somebody who has called us narrow minded, selfish, arrogant and arse holes in one post, people who live in glass houses and all that

So if people get annoyed by our constant singing we should just stop singing? or only sing every so often? people are sat in the kop for a reason well hopefully they are anyway because they want to be part of the atmopshere not that there is one at the minute so hopefully us annoying anyone wont be a problem well apart from annoying you on this forum

Finners has said on many occasions, your ignorance and inability to listen to any constructive criticism isn't going to help you. You need to stop thinking you're all high and mighty and better than the 'bovril drinkers' or 'happy clap brigade' and most importantly you need to realise that all the other supporters in the stadium have just as much of a right to enjoy their 'matchday experience' in their own way and if that is sat down watching the match for 90 minutes then so be it.

Do you nto read anything that anyone says??? how the hell are we going to stop people enjoying their match day experience? we have said on many ocasions and i am getting bored of reapeating myself that we will not be getting in anyones way if people get annoyed by our singing them i am sorry but there really is nothing we can do about that your critism isn't constructive what so ever you are just an arse who has nothing better to do that try and wind people up on this thread and it's working we know for some reason you dont want this to work i have no idea what that reason is and i dont really care either so seriously do us a favour and piss off
AndyBrew Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 PS09: some of those photos look impressive good effort!
davieG Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 People were always going to look for faults! you just have to read this thread and you will realise that some people don't actually want this to work for some reason or another If we annoy people by singing songs to much then good! is all i have to say about that On the other hand there are people that want it to work and are trying to offer constructive criticism and advice who've been around and seen what's prevented previous attempts from being successful.
lcfcadam Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 People were always going to look for faults! you just have to read this thread and you will realise that some people don't actually want this to work for some reason or another Look, let's face it, as soon as anyone in Britain tries to do anything remotely original / different / positive, they're going to be met with a mountain of tossers whose sole purpose for objecting is because they feel a psychological need to (and possibly because they feel jealous that they're not as proactive as the people who think up the ideas). Ignoring them, however difficult, really seems to be the only option.
Tilley Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 your critism isn't constructive what so ever you are just an arse who has nothing better to do that try and wind people up on this thread and it's working Oh babe, didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. we know for some reason you dont want this to work i have no idea what that reason is and i dont really care either You actually couldn't be more wrong. I would like it if something like this took off down the Walkers, as I have previously stated, atmosphere (or lack of) and boredom is why I didn't renew my season ticket after seven seasons. I love to stand, sing and create abit of an atmosphere. The difference between me and you is I respect all the other supporters, whether they stand, sit, sing, listen to their radio or go take their kids. You and your group are not superior to anyone which is what you have some sort of problem understanding.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 On the other hand there are people that want it to work and are trying to offer constructive criticism and advice who've been around and seen what's prevented previous attempts from being successful. yeah deffinatly we know and we are taking everything on board the main thing that we want is for our drive and passion for this to not get diluted by people on here who think we should tone things down a bit that isnt how this is going to work so maybe we are coming across like we dont want to listen to anybody who is trying to criticise us, but that is just because we want this to be our we imagine it and that might not be realistic, but we are still going to try

Bugg Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 we have said plenty of times that we recpect how others want to support their team! Not being funny, but a few posts back you said that if you upset people because of your singing, it would be good.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Not being funny, but a few posts back you said that if you upset people because of your singing, it would be good. because we cant do anything about that if we are in someones way with flags or standing we will do everything we can to help them so they are ok but we cant do anything about our singing

It is your attitude that everyone is inferior to you. Alot of the members of your group haven't adopted this attitude, thankfully and are using some intelligence and common sense about the situation. Try it. I think you need to realise saying stuff like 'we'll annoy them into accepting it' is going to get you absolutely no where. Not being funny, but a few posts back you said that if you upset people because of your singing, it would be good. Yep.
SamL Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Oh babe, didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. You actually couldn't be more wrong. You and your group are not superior to anyone which is what you have some sort of problem understanding. Swings and roundabouts mate. Why shouldn't the group sing for 90 minutes non-stop? This is how we achieve our enjoyment while watching Leicester City play. Different sets of people tend to support their team in different ways, as you have previously suggested, but why should we ruin our enjoyment by staying silent in order to please other fans when actually they want us to stay silent to boost their enjoyment levels? As a group, we recognize that different people achieve the enjoyment of supporting their team in a variety of ways; some choose to sing for 90 minutes, whereas some do not wish to sing at all. We aim to encourage as many people as possible to sing with us and to support us, rather than be against us. We have no hatred for other fans choosing to enjoy their match day experience in a different way to ourselves. If you want to sit in silence, that is your right as a football supporter. However, we also have the right to sing non-stop for 90 minutes. If others do not want to be shown animosity towards for staying silent then don't show any towards us for wanting to create an atmosphere. As a newly founded group, it is our aim to reach out to Leicester City supporters in order to gain their support in helping us to become successful. We do not expect to have a god-given right to force people to move from their seats or to sing songs they don't want to sing, we only want to encourage them to demonstrate different ways of supporting their team. We aim to be allocated a section within the Kop with minimal disruption to other fans.
Bugg Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 because we cant do anything about that if we are in someones way with flags or standing we will do everything we can to help them so they are ok but we cant do anything about our singing I was just picking at your post . I don't actually mind the group just as long as it doesn't annoy the fans who want to enjoy the match how they want.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 It isn't where you are sat. It is your attitude that everyone is inferior to you. Please show me a post where i have come across like i feel superior to other supports and that comment about annoying them into accepting us was actually about getting the club to let us have flag poles we'd send them an email everyday till they let us like tim robbins did in shawshank redemption
howsyourfather Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 i thought it was all a bit embarrassing yesterday lads
SamL Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 Not being funny, but a few posts back you said that if you upset people because of your singing, it would be good. Why should singing upset anybody though? If you don't want to join in with us, it doesn't bother us. It is our right to support our team vocally, as it is your right to support your team in other ways. Why should we sit in silence in order to please other fans, when they could open their mouths in order to please us? It's swings and roundabouts. As a group, we recognize that we're neither inferior or superior to other fans, we're just opting to support our team in a different way. We recognize that different groups of people choose to support their team in other ways, if we want to sing non-stop for 90 minutes then other groups of people should recognize that this is our right. If you do not want to join in, it doesn't bother us so why should it bother you if we're showing non-stop vocal support?
Bugg Posted 1 August 2010 Posted 1 August 2010 i thought it was all a bit embarrassing yesterday lads Prepare to be shot down.
