This is how we're seen. (by a QPR Fan)

Some extracts:

In the remaining corner you have the away fans flanked as close as possible by 1000 chavs who are allowed to stand up and do whatever they want in the general direction of the travelling support.

The Ground Boring. Another new ground that looks exactly the same as all the other new grounds.
a fourth blast of that God awful Kasabian track and chavs dancing was all too much to bear for me and several others. Still, I expect those that travelled to remember both the “loyal supporters” and “we’ll never play you again” chants as we now know Leicester bollocksed their precious play off spot right up with the worst penalty ever taken and will now sadly have to play us twice within the next 12 months and their fans have never been shy of leaving early when we’ve been beating them too.
Basically it seemed that the QPR fan had sworn at the home fans, nothing unusual at 3-0 down and nothing that wasn’t being done back to us, and then objected to a steward talking to him like a small boy while he was trying to watch the match. Three times the steward lost his rag, waving his arms dramatically and triumphantly at the police at the bottom of the stand as if to say a decision had been made and he wanted the man thrown out.

I'm sure they love and admire us reallyblush.pngtongue.png

Must say all the QPR fans I've ever met are sound, apart from the one who hit me with a cheese cob after the game this season.

Yeah they love us really.

Though he has a point, the 'loyal supporters' and 'we'll never play you again' crap do have a tendency to come back and bite us on the arse. Kind of emphasises our need for better support at home, because NOBODY could criticise our support at Cardiff.

I might not have been to as many "aways" as some of the posters on this forum but QPR was well and truly the worst I've ever been to. It was like sitting in a the morgue library. They did nothing for eighty odd minutes, eventually sang a very brief chorus of 'you're not singing any more' and then went back to deathly silence.

I've no dillusions about our home support being spectacular - but that's a little bit rich.

Our home support is not as bad, in comparison to other clubs as people make out, sure there are some fairly lengthy quiet spells but given something to cheer/moan and get excited about they can match most others. Others that are not without their own long spells of silence.

On the whole, through the way crowds are set/made up it's an away fans game in terms of vocal support with the occasional 'big game' exception like Cardiff.

As long as they carry on giving us 6 points each season they can say what they want. Quite an entertaining read though to be fair.

Oh and yeah Finnegan is right, the home support in their ground was shit.

The only noise I heard from them was their little rattle that they spun around whenever they had a throw in. :giggle:

Their away fans were probably the worst I've seen this season as well (apart from Watford maybe.) Must have had about 30 standing up and even less than that singing.

I was at the QPR game away, sitting in the QPR family stand and our fans were making most of the noise. My QPR supporting mate even mentioned it too. I'm not sure to what extent his comments are valid though, as I have never sat in L1 or near the away end to know what the stewards are like

The feeling mutual Hoops fans. Your nutters are a six year blonde kid and some dafty dressed as a mexican (when Taarbt is Moroccan).

Also, the Loft is the one location where I have witnessed live child cruelty.

Bilo's right though....but what ground and set of fans don't? At every ground, the home fans sing to you that their team is the greatest the world as ever seen!

What's Taaraabt got to do with sombero man? He was there before he arrived, and he'll be there after!

I didn't think any of the home fans were great. The only quality set of fans I saw this season were Cardiff.

Palace and West Brom were good I thought.

Yeah, they were both pretty good. West Brom were the only fans to sell out their allocation in the regular season who impressed me. The other teams who sold out, Derby, Forest and Newcastle were all absolute bobbins. Cardiff were good in the play-offs but so they bloody should be. If you can't sing for the play-offs, you don't deserve promotion.

I was more on about their home support. Can't comment on Palace's away support but you're right, West Brom's was decent. They've got a half decent songbook for this division.

Home support was generally poor from what I saw. Only Palace and Forest could be arsed to lift their voices above a whisper against us at home so far as I could see. Oh, that and a few chavs in the corner of the Ricoh when they went 1-0 up. And I emphasise a few.

Completely missed read that one. Though he didn't help himself with the Morroccan flag.

Missed QPR at home and away this year unfortunately but from what I remember from previous years Loftus Road is hardly a cauldron of atmosphere itself. Yes the atmosphere at Filbert Way can be pretty poor but a quiet home crowd is par for the course these days it seems, even at clubs whose fans are renowned for there vocal support of their team.

Hence, i'm not going to be losing too much sleep over this bloke's verdict of our ground (unless he's the sombrero guy)

Didn't think the majority of the Palace home fans made any noise whatsoever, but they got extra brownie points for their group of 50-100 or so "Ultras" in the corner. Never stopped all game even though their team were garbage.
