SOCCERROO FOX Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Can't Bloody wait every 2nd person in Durban is an Australian. We make be shit at Football but we are loyal and passinate supporters and being here proves that.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi! Down one of the local pubs today 4 Germans walked in and in unison we all started chanting "Where's your Ballack" to the tune off where's your head at one funniest thingsever to see there faces when they walked in to a pub and 20 drunk Aussies just start chanting at them. Word of warning to any one at the cup South Africans are always dangerous so keep your wits about you.
natas Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Not to confident on our (Australia) chances at this World Cup, we had a lot of games in the qualifiers where we were dominated by some pretty average Asian teams, but because of their poor finishing and Mark Schwarzer we managed to steal results. Our coach Verbeek likes to park the bus as well so expect the Germans to provide the entertainment in this match.
Guest DavidJCW Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 I am very much turning into an Ozzie for this match... God I'd love it if they did the Germans!!!
Tilley Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 I'd like to see Australia win here but they won't, Germany will win comfortably. Germans always seem to adapt a Germany against the world mentality at major tournaments and do well and I expect this to be no different. 3-0 Germany.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 The first game except the England one which I really want to watch. 2-1 Germany, hoping for a good game.
marbelladave Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 I am very much turning into an Ozzie for this match... God I'd love it if they did the Germans!!! Lived in Sydney for a while in the 80's, so for once, it's c'mon Australia... God that hurts....
ScouseFox Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Got Germany in the sweep at school, but would still rather Australia win this one
maddog Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 German manager is very confident Without Ballack though i think they will struggle.
Jordan Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Australia is not going to make things easy today and I have a funny feeling they can sneak a draw, underdogs as they are. Just realized that I haven't seen Harry Kewell play in a while, that'll be interesting.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Hopefully we see loads of goals. Not too bothered who wins here. Would be nice to see the Aussies cause an upset tho
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 The Germans are rather good at winning. Everyone wrote them off in '06 but they did well and Im predicting they will set the standard tonight for the other big teams to live up to. Looking forward to seeing Thomas Muller, seems a popular figure at Bayern but hasn't impressed me the few times i've seen him. Also Schweinsteiger has to perform for them this tournament. Lets hope Klose can reproduce some of his old magic to brighten up the competition. I think its been poor so far.
Corky Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Good Sunday night viewing hopefully. Would like to see a shock but Germany will have too much, 2-0 Germans.
Jonezy Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Come on the Aussies! felt sorry for them in 06, when they went out to dodgy penalty in the dying minutes against the soon to champions Italy.
dandannieldanok Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Don't like either really, can't see Germany losing.
Mee Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Hopefully a really decent, end to end game....Can't see the German's losing though, 3-0 Germany, but hopefully the other way around. I'm an Aussie for the night
Narborough_fox Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 I think someone should send an email into ITV, Why didn't you join Leicester City?
dandannieldanok Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Deary me, horribly negative line-up for Australia, Richard Garcia up front on his own!?!?
Matt Posted 13 June 2010 Posted 13 June 2010 Fair play to the Aussies making some noise for their national anthem. Just hope they drown out the fecking horns, doubt they will though
davieG Posted 13 June 2010 Author Posted 13 June 2010 This pitch looks really narrow and looks like it could have been wider if it weren't for all the advertising hoardings
