He plays in the Premier League week in, week out, not a pansy European league. Do that in the Premier League on a Saturday afternoon and you'd get a booking, max.

Germans are brilliant.

This is not the Premier League, where you'd get away with this kind of tackle. This is the World Cup, with proper referees and not the likes of Alan Wiley.

Not that I believe Cahill would get away with it playing for Everton, mind you.

Serves the little f"cker right. The Cahill love fest on here is so totally undeserved.

I cant wait for the excuses the aussie media will come out with for this disgusting display of shitfulness!!

Germany playing such quality football.

Why don't England play like this :dunno:

USA aren't that much stronger than the Aussies.

Or is it we are a lot weaker than the Germans, probably.

Four. Utterly brilliant.

Let's not get carried away. They're playing against ten men. If it was this good against 11, you'd have a point. Still, you can only play what's in-front of you.

Exactly, there's nothing stopping us playing it around like the Germans are. Germans are pure class.

Hardly. One of the best players in the Prem. You're just disagreeing because you have some vendetta with Tilley. If one of your boys had've seen red for that i'm sure you'd say it was deserved.

Germany are a class of their own and their current efficiency and team work rate will carry them a long way.

The Roos should be ashamed of sending such a terrible team to the World Cup - at least Low had the guts to sort it out, them Australians still come up with the same team that competed in the WC four years ago.

Then again, it shows with what weak competition the teams in the AFC region are dealing in the qualifying stages.

Agree with the bold part.

Maybe we are getting carried away because we won't know how good they are until we've seen Spain, Brazil and Holland kick off their campaigns. However, this completely eclipses what we, the French and the Argentinians produced.

I know I probably sound like a broken record but the Germans know how to get it done in major tournaments and they are proving that again.

Vital we win our group and get one of the other three, in my opinion.

I'm watching a supposed live ITV feed on my computer but it's clearly behind what is happening on the TV, i've opnly just seen the fourth goal

The supposed live Sky player online is also a minute+ behind the tv.

Can't believe some people on here still buy into that crap.

How often have you seen Cahill come up with such a stupid move in the Premier League? That was in best Dennis Wise fashion.

And yes, if one of our boys had seen red for this kind of tackle, I'd have agreed with the referee's decision.

A tackle from behind is a tackle from behind. He wasn't even playing the ball!

Totally agree mate. I just don't think they'd have been as good as they have been against 11.

There obviously is since the English team don't play like it. The difference in movement and passing between the teams is quite clear.

They were playing pretty handsomely against 11 men.

I've really enjoyed watching a decent team playing some decent footy, having had to go through the Algeria-Slovenia match, and the France-Uruguay one this is a breath of fresh air, even though it's so one sided.

And I agree with you on that one, but what I meant was that we have top quality players, and if we took a page out of the Germans book, it wouldn't do us any harm. Saying that, the Aussies are shocking lol

Only me and our resident Australians are bumming him.
