Mikey Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 Rooney apologises. Fair play. Now he's got to back up his words by doing something on Wednesday.
Guest Bilo Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 Words are cheap. Best way to apologise to the fans is by showing us the real Wayne Rooney on Wednesday.
purpleronnie Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 I'm sure he wanted to apologise and wasnt made to.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 He should show the fans his real apology, like at least trying to put in a passionate performance. Thing I don't understand is, Rooney loves the praise he gets when he's playing well, but he can't take the critism when the teams playing awfully.

I know 100s of people like that. Personally I wouldn't give him the chance, unless he's willing to do it from the subs bench - that would show his REAL metal. He's in danger of being the new John Barnes - brilliant for his club, average at best for his country.
CosbehFox Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 http://timesonline.typepad.com/thegame/2010/06/an-open-letter-to-wayne-rooney.html Sums it up perfectly.
Mikey Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 http://timesonline.typepad.com/thegame/2010/06/an-open-letter-to-wayne-rooney.html Sums it up perfectly. Good read. Come on Wayne, show the world the real you.

Rooney doesn't come across as a prima dona though and im sure what he said was just out of frustration, like he says.
maddog Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 Wow he's apologised thanks Wayne. Total **** for what he said last night, hard working people saving for years spending thousands to watch that shit, will then go home to their everyday lives, tough full time jobs earning little. He earns what has taken them to save for years and years in 12 hours, can go back to his millionaire lifestyle and mansion. Sadly Wayne no matter how many goals you score for England now you will never have my full respect back for saying that. Disgraceful. Worst player on the pitch for the first 2 games, i would certainly have the nerve to drop him for the next game regardless of his form for Manure. Or his reputation as the so called 'best in the world'

Or his reputation as the so called 'best in the world' Maybe..but would you really have the nerve?, suppose you did drop him and we go on and get beat by Slovenia on Weds. The tables would turn and you'd be a National hate figure.

Daggers Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 PR officer spots potential sponsorship disaster and forces gobby Scouse shite to emit a half-baked apology for a quick quip rather than an attonement for an abjectly awfully performance. Well done England. You make me feel warm and fuzzy all over.
Matt Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 Trappy scouse twat. Fryatt for England Waghorn for England
Salieri Posted 19 June 2010 Posted 19 June 2010 Jorrin John on facebook implying that Rooney doesnt get the same abuse as Heskey 'cos he ain't black, innit'. fook off and have a word.
marbelladave Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 Good read. Come on Wayne, show the world the real you. He just did, that's why he has had to apologise... Jorrin John on facebook implying that Rooney doesnt get the same abuse as Heskey 'cos he ain't black, innit'. fook off and have a word. Banana anyone?
Mee Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 Waghorn for England Agreed. If we had a team of players who cherished the England shirt then nobody who mind if we lost. If the lads played there hearts out then I wouldn't moan but after a performance in which they looked like they couldn't be bothered, everyone is entitled to have a go. I just want to see some pure fight and passion.

Brainy Posted 20 June 2010 Posted 20 June 2010 whats all this bullshit about Rooney not putting in passionate performances for England? what a joke, he's had two bad games having just came back from an injury and playing constant football for 10 months, playing far away from home and suddenly he's everybody's target for criticism. not exactly new stuff but it's pathetic for the newspapers, a few days before the WC coming out saying 'cmon England' blah blah blah and as soon as it kicks off, theyre doing their best to try and disrupt the camp.

If you go in most pubs you'll find Heskey is referred to as a N*gger more often than not. Usually with some sort of insult infront and after as well .
