Foxes_Trust Posted 1 July 2010 Posted 1 July 2010 Those mainly linked records in this article http://foxestrust.co.uk/site/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=887&Itemid=2
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 1 July 2010 Posted 1 July 2010 Interesting to see Sousa has drawn more games than he won, and wins one in every three. That shows he is hard to beat, but at the same time struggles to put teams away.
Fox You Forest Posted 1 July 2010 Posted 1 July 2010 I love some good statistics, surprising how decent Dowie's starts are, started high after Oldham/Palace and steadily declining ever since, hey you guuyyys.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 Hmm.. Still abit unsure on Sousa. Do I really want to spend every game of the season either, watching a bore draw, or winning by an unconvincing 1-0, and ending in a nail-biting finish.
Ozwin Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 I think people get too worked up over his record at Swansea, he hardly had an attacking team to play with did he? I've said it before, Kuqi and Beattie and whatsisface aren't gonna bang them in. We're different, I'm sure he'll take a different approach. Assuming he comes here of course.
Koke Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 Hmm.. Still abit unsure on Sousa. Do I really want to spend every game of the season either, watching a bore draw, or winning by an unconvincing 1-0, and ending in a nail-biting finish. The choices of managers are very slim. MM could take a punt on some relatively unknown guy, and it could either be a success story [like Pearson] or it could be a failure. Look at the market. They aren't many available managers [or managers within our reach] who would be an improvement on Pearson. Sousa is the closest one. So on that basis, I'll happily have Sousa. The more I think about it, the more it becomes obvious that Sousa is the best manager within our reach out there. The rest of the usual dross are just the the usual run-of-the-mill epic failures. I would rather we took a chance on Sousa than appoint a shit manager who has failed elsewhere, numerous times. Also, at Swansea, his two [most[ best players followed Martinez to Wigan. Take Jason Scotland and Jordi Gomez out of that team and it was obvious they would miss their goals and struggle to score. And yet he was 1 win away from the play-offs.

Not too sure about this but, did he play the same system we played last season? ... i.e - Gallagher and Dyer the wingers and 1 upfront. Can see where your coming from though, we have better striking options.
FoxyPV Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 A solid defensive style but playing passing football - I don't see what's wrong with this. As everyone has already stated we have a stronger attack and this can only add to this style. Sousa  Please MM stay away from the usual dross
Jon the Hat Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 Meaningless stats really, becuase for any candidate you can start to addd or detract based on the league, whether they signed the players etc. Pearson managed City in the their only season in the 3rd tier, so he bloody should have a good win ratio with the team he had at his disposal.
Corky Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 Hmm.. Still abit unsure on Sousa. Do I really want to spend every game of the season either, watching a bore draw, or winning by an unconvincing 1-0, and ending in a nail-biting finish. A fair few of our matches last season were like that. As I've said elsewhere, we might be prolific next season, you just don't know.
Daggers Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 Oh fvck. Bason has broken out the pointless manager statistics. It can only get worse now...
flanimal Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 Sousa is the Mourinho of The Championship. Does anyone know what his transfers were like?
Salieri Posted 2 July 2010 Posted 2 July 2010 You've only got to compare Pearsons stats prior to joining Leicester compared to his record whilst here to realise that you can't read too much into stats. Massive difference between the two. Sousa clearly organises his teams well, making them very hard to beat, and thats a good start. All the best teams build from the back.

The rest of the usual dross are just the the usual run-of-the-mill epic failures. I would rather we took a chance on Sousa than appoint a shit manager who has failed elsewhere, numerous times.
