Funnily enough, just as I said so last nite!

I think it was pretty obvious that he was joining today as the mercury had printed it yesterday morning.

I think this is certainly going to be an interesting chapter at Leicester a foreign manager in charge, be interesting to see what changes in the style of play will be used many fans criticized the root one ball method we used to play a lot, hopefully he will give the squad a new technical approach to the game. Look forward to the press conference

From the Merc

The former Portugal international midfielder will tell the City squad his plans for the season and what he will expect from them. He will also introduce them to his backroom team, which includes the familiar face of Chris Powell.

Joining Sousa at City will be his assistant Bruno Oliveira, who filled the same role at both QPR and Swansea, and Nelson Jardim, with Powell taking up coaching duties having agreed a new contract.

Oliveira is only 32 but has built a strong reputation for his coaching abilities after his own playing career was cut short aged just 21 because of a serious knee injury.

Oliveira is a student of the game and has studied coaching techniques at several of Europe's top clubs, includingManchester United, Real Madrid and Lazio. Football analyst Jardim has worked with several clubs in Portugal and has a degree in sports science and physical education from the University of Porto.

Powell, who ended his illustrious playing career last season, will provide valuable continuity for the players between the Nigel Pearson regime and Sousa's reign as City boss.

Just said on ssn that they will 'bring his first interview to us later this afternoon'

Anyone know if the press conference will be live on Sky Sports News? If so, I'm gonna have to find a stream!

Hope it is on SSN.

There's a good chance it will be live. I saw the sky camera truck down there earlier.

Radio Leicester, instead of broadcasting the press conference, are helpfully playing a Doctor Hook record instead. "They had some good hits didn't they".

Kylie Minogue now

A couple of posts above you, it states that Radio Leicester will broadcast the press conference at 5pm today.

Shel Silverstein and Kylie, go a long way to see that!..:trumpet:

SSN Gave us a short briefing on Sousa, nothing we have not seen before. Promise details of the press conference 'later this afternoon'...:dunno:

Bit annoyed at SSN they did all the our other managers conferences live, I remember watching Pearson's and Allens but no Sousa. No good.

To be fair, they must be pretty bored of doing them. Also are we really big enough to have a live press conference everytime we get a new manager?

"Estou muito contente de estar aqui, é um grande clube com grandes apoiadores e uma rica história e estou muito animado com o desafio.

"O clube tem um estádio fantástico, com excelentes instalações e estou muito ansioso para trabalhar com os jogadores."

I dont care if they are bored, whats the point in having a news service dedicated to sport if they aint gonna report it live :dunno:

And we are really big in fact we are massive, especially in these parts.
