fox24 Posted 15 July 2010 Posted 15 July 2010 From the Merc: According to sources this report is actually quite accurate. the merc is not always accurate though as they reported that tunchev had damaged his right knee a few days ago but i put a comment on here telling you all that it was infact his left knee this time, some people seemed to mock me for saying it but its took the mercury til today to report about it,well just to let you know aswell that he had surgery yesterday and first signs r good but definately wont be around for beginning of season

Wymsey Posted 15 July 2010 Posted 15 July 2010 He has swelling on his left knee. Resting as a precaution therefore.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 17 July 2010 Posted 17 July 2010 I find it hard to believe that he'd make friends with a semi-illiterate teenager. You are a waste of space, you squalid little jerk off!
Poakey Posted 17 July 2010 Posted 17 July 2010 You are a waste of space, you squalid little jerk off! He's not little

Don't stop posting just because certain members of the forum give you needless abuse. Maybe Curious Orange should change his name to 'Bitter Lemon'.
Jimmy Posted 18 July 2010 Posted 18 July 2010 everyone concerned just needs to have a lot of patience and stay calm regarding Tunchev, Owen Hargreaves is going through something similar at Man Utd but they seem confident he'll be back this season too
davieG Posted 19 July 2010 Posted 19 July 2010 This appears to be the situation - initially Tunchev trained with the first team squad. His left knee (Not his bad knee) swelled up. The club sent him to a London Doc where they confirmed he'd been using the other leg to support his weight and keeping the weight off his bad leg for the last 18 months which is normal. He needed a small op just to release pressure. Tunchev can train with the squad but will have to take it a little easier and he may feel uncomfortable. This will put him 6 six weeks behind the squad but he was already going to be about 4 weeks behind. So this will make him 10 weeks behind. So around the end of September? Before they went to Slovenia and before his knee had swollen up Paulo spoke to Tunchev and as the chances of Tunchev being ready to play in any of the games out there was nil said he only wanted to take players who could play some part. As he needed to look at all players. So Tunchev was not dropped. Oh and Vitor was being looked at while Paulo was at Swansea and has nothing to do with Tunchev being fit or not. Apparently Bruno Berner has gone back to Switzerland for 'nice' family reasons and will return sometime this week.
adversus_diaboli Posted 19 July 2010 Posted 19 July 2010 I feel sorry for Tunch, however it feels like he left us years ago as he's not kicked a ball in years. It would be great for the club if he regained his fitness and started to play at the level we know he is capable of, however he's been absent for so long even DJ has had more match time for us. For that reason if he never returned and was forced to retire/leave city, although it would be a loss, it would hardly affect anything as he's not playing anyway and were coping. If he makes it back it’s like a new signing. If he doesn't it’s just like missing out on a transfer target, disappointing but ultimately life goes on and other players get the chance at a first team run.
carterfox90 Posted 19 July 2010 Posted 19 July 2010 could be a nice xmas pressy for us if he makes it back fully fit shame as he did seem to have that bit of class about him when he did play
marbelladave Posted 19 July 2010 Posted 19 July 2010 If it wasn't for a complete lack of natural ability and a piss poor work ethic I could have been a professional footballer. Have a word with DJ's sgent, with those qualifications he'll find you a club! Good money and you only have to turn up now and again... BTW
adversus_diaboli Posted 19 July 2010 Posted 19 July 2010 Cheers dave I tried DJ's agent but unfortunately I knew the offside rule and thus I was to experienced for him to work with. Something about him only being able to work with no hopers or something. He probably gets some sort of tax relief as he classes it as charity work
