Leicfox Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 Looks like he's fighting a losing battle...Shame as he's talented.
Uncle Monty Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 Well I think we may have seen the last of Tunchev, sadly.
CosbehFox Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 Err....the source is just simply folks adding 2 and 2 to make 5. It was late August before he was expected to being doing contact training anyway.
ousefox Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 This is just from what someone on here has said right? But if true i doubt we are going to see him back to his best or maybe even back, ever again
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 I've said since about Christmas I doubt we'll see him again. I was really hoping to be proved wrong. We know why he isnt going to Slovenia then dont we.
hackneyfox Posted 12 July 2010 Author Posted 12 July 2010 Err....the source is just simply folks adding 2 and 2 to make 5. It was late August before he was expected to being doing contact training anyway. Seems a pretty good source to me, and if he has another op, even if successful, when will he next be ready for contact training? I think the club expected this and that is why Hugo Miguel Vitor was brought in on loan, he was never going to sit on the bench.

Cobbo Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 Well it's Mark's own site to accompany Foxestalk so people criticising the source....hmm.
CosbehFox Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 Seems a pretty good source to me, The source is a front page for this site hence my questioning and I assume it's just second guessing that cos he's away from Slovenia, he's had a set-back. If my theory is true, then having him hang around whilst he can't take apart in practice matches it's probably for the best if he sits out.
Jimmy Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 that article gives no sources nor does it quote anyone so I'm not inclined to believe it
Wymsey Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 Said on BBC Leic, Tunchev is still on crutches when walking. I'm right
Callabinho Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 Well Maybe he hasn't gone because he is not yet fully fit, I am sure Paulo would not risk taking him to do further damage to his knee ahead of the new season, We know Tunch has a problem so lets not get carried away until the website announces a set back, if its to be true then we can cry until Vitor elegantly strides the length of the pitch to chip the goalie from 25yards. On a brighter note I am glad to see youth players Like Schlupp in the team and Jorrin John who I hear is rather good !
fox24 Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 yeah its a shame that tunchev has suffered this setback again he was doing really well and he was looking forward to the pre season he was training in bulgaria with one of thier local teams and then he started training with leicester a week before everyone else returned to get extra training in he managed to walk without crutches a while now but now he is going to need another operation and so its going to be a long road back now i think, but as soon as i have anymore news about him i will try to keep u all posted
Narborough_fox Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 Tunch hasn't gone to slovenia.... *Sarcastic Applause*
Guest Bilo Posted 12 July 2010 Posted 12 July 2010 I have a horrible feeling Tunchev is fucked permanently. Real shame for a player who promised so much here. That Vitor signing looks wiser by the minute, especially if he can cover for Morrison at right back.
davieG Posted 14 July 2010 Posted 14 July 2010 From the Merc Leicester City defender Aleksandar Tunchev has suffered another setback as he bids to end his 18-month injury nightmare. The Bulgarian international did not fly to Slovenia for the pre-season training camp with the rest of the squad and reports have emerged saying he will undergo further surgery on his right knee. However, it may not be as serious as that and sources say Tunchev may have just been held back as a precaution after experiencing swelling on his knee. The 28-year-old's injury nightmare started in January 2009 when he tore his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in an FA Cup tie at Crystal Palace. After surgery, he returned briefly at the start of last season and made two appearances before having to undergo a second operation in September last year. He returned for rehabilitation in October but, after more setbacks, he flew to Barcelona to see the specialist who treated his original injury in February. However, the knee did not respond sufficiently to treatment and he underwent a surgical procedure called bone fractures in March, which ruled him out for the rest of the campaign. Tunchev was said to be making progress and was able to do some running, but his progress has not been sufficient for him to return to full training yet, making it unlikely he will be ready to return for the start of the season.
Babylon Posted 14 July 2010 Posted 14 July 2010 I think they have seen it floating around on here and are hedging their bets.
