Guest Bilo Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Literally the only likeable thing about Cardiff is Dave Jones. Decent bloke who's had a bad deal over the years. Apart from that; absolute twats on the playing staff who are whiny little bitches with referees, arrogant neanderthal fans and should have gone into administration years ago but continue to buy players all over the shop while creditors go unpaid. Also use their dual nationality to their best advantage, which I can't recall Swansea doing. Swansea by contrast have built a good squad patiently over time, not spent wildly and are one of the best footballing sides in the league with a manager who has bounced back from a shocking stint at Reading. Their fans only really seem to be knobbish when they meet Cardiff in my experience as well and I personally found Swansea to be one of the friendlier away days this season. I'd have no problem with them going up but Cardiff can fvcking rot.
lcfc_jme Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Swansea doing Cardiff in the playoff final would suit me just fine. That's not to say I want Cardiff to fail miserably, because I don't. I'd rather they went up than Forest (for obvious reasons) or Reading (because they're pointless and don't deserve Premier League football as a club). It's just that Cardiff bottling this season's promotion would see them lose Bellamy, Bothroyd and potentially Whittingham, as well as probably needing a new manager. They'd be significantly weaker if they missed out this season than Swansea.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Yup, that as well. Bothroyd's England call-up may land him a lower Premiership place, same with Whittingham if he doesn't go to a moneyed Championship club and I can see Bellamy going elsewhere as well. Doubt he'll go back to Eastlands though.
MC Prussian Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Well done Norwich! Now all I want to see is Reading making the cut in the playoffs.
RedHux Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Just hope Forest don't go up (sorry Hux). hehe, no worries. I'd expect nothing less. Congrats to Norwich and as an aside, when Grant Holt played for us Calderwood decided the best place to play him (after a few relatively successful seasons as a center forward) was on the left wing! It's no great surprise that with that kind of skillful management it took us three years to get out of L1
tartanowl Posted 4 May 2011 Posted 4 May 2011 Pigs down to play us. Norwich up over Cardiff. Leeds fail to make the playoffs. It has been a good end to the season!
AjcW Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 Pigs down to play us. Norwich up over Cardiff. Leeds fail to make the playoffs. It has been a good end to the season! League 1 but..... Peterborough, scored 106 goals, conceded 75 67 of those scored from January onwards.
Bugg Posted 7 May 2011 Posted 7 May 2011 League 1 but..... Peterborough, scored 106 goals, conceded 75 67 of those scored from January onwards. How many of those goals were Joe Lewis' fault? Most of them I reckon.

James18 Posted 12 May 2011 Posted 12 May 2011 Play-offs start tonight with Forest playing Swansea at the City Ground. Predictions anyone? Hopefully not but I see a 1 goal win for Forest here. 2-1.
ScouseFox Posted 12 May 2011 Posted 12 May 2011 Cagey 0-0/1-1 draw, Swansea to win it at their place.
AjcW Posted 12 May 2011 Posted 12 May 2011 I can see goals tonight, the Swansea strike force are going to be to hot to handle and I feel that despite not having the best away record, the occasion will lead to them overcoming that.
ScouseFox Posted 12 May 2011 Posted 12 May 2011 Swansea down to 10 men after a minute. Forest have 90 minutes at home against 10 men. Hope they manage to bottle this.
ScouseFox Posted 12 May 2011 Posted 12 May 2011 Completely the correct decision as well, by the way. None of this "only a minute gone, I can't send him off" shite from Mike Dean.
Fosse Boy Posted 12 May 2011 Posted 12 May 2011 C'mon Forest Have a word. Seriously. MEEEEEEEEEEEN OF HARLECH...
Matt Posted 12 May 2011 Posted 12 May 2011 Have a word. Seriously. MEEEEEEEEEEEN OF HARLECH... Not that I have to explain but; 1) I win £117 if Forest win (Along with Bournemouth and Shrewsbury ) 2) I don't really care that much about Forest (A little bit more now I work with a couple of Forest fans). 3) Would you not find it amusing to see Forest being beat most weeks next season?

It'd be more amusing if we beat them next season, rather than some big Prem team.

Samilktray Posted 12 May 2011 Posted 12 May 2011 Promoted teams dont even get beaten week in week out no more. Blackpool didnt, Burnley didnt, Hull didnt. They all had fairly respectable seasons.
