Leicester_Loyal Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Norwich promoted. Fair play to them, great team, great support, great manager.
purpleronnie Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 I like norwich, pleased for them. I would like a swansea v cardiff play off final. Good luck wembley.
ScouseFox Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Very well done. Like us last year but ever so slightly better. To think how they must be feeling now compared to about 20 months ago when they'd just lost 1-7 to Colchester. They'll need pretty much a whole new squad in the Premier League though, surely.
Bob Farley Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 cant beleive norwich, wonder what the odds on them were, bet its a good un.
Corky Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Very well done. Like us last year but ever so slightly better. Thing is we had Newcastle and West Brom last season, who were a cut above the rest, so it was always going to be play-offs at best for us. Norwich's determination right to the end of games has made a massive difference.
sdb Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Congrats Norwich. Would rather Forest go up in the PO's than Cardiff - hate them.
Dylan Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Hats off to Norwich for gaining promotion- credit where its due. Their strike-force is great with Grant Holt, and Simeon Jackson with him, scoring a lot of goals finishing chances. If only we had one of them.

Norwich's determination right to the end of games has made a massive difference. Yeah, the league's probably weaker this year, but it just shows what a "winning mentality" can do. Us, Leeds, Millwall and most notably Norwich have all come up and been in and around promotion the season after. Or maybe the gap between the two leagues isn't great. Either way, a winning mentality won't get you as far in the Premier League, so they'll have to strengthen. Grant Holt and Simeon Jackson up to in the Premier League? Hmmm.
Guest Bilo Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Just glad Cardiff didn't go up. I'm hoping Reading or Swansea win the play-offs now.
StanSP Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Congrats to Norwich. Wouldn't mind Swansea going up. How did we not get any points against Pompy?!
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 If Cardiff blow it .. Will Dave Jones continue? He's been so close so many times but not quite made it. Would be deflating and he may consider pastures new.
Guest ttfn Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 It breaks my heart that Norwich are up. They're basically us from last year, but playing in a weaker division. Just goes to show the value of being organised at this level. I hope they get completely dominated next season, a la Derby.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 If Cardiff blow it .. Will Dave Jones continue? He's been so close so many times but not quite made it. Would be deflating and he may consider pastures new. I reckon he will go. Looking on their forums over the last season or two, many fans have never liked Jones. And really they should have finished in the top two with their squad, but they always seem to bottle promotion. Think he will go in the summer.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Still yet to hear a reason for all this Cardiff hate... They're Welsh is the reason most fans will give.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Still yet to hear a reason for all this Cardiff hate... I personally couldn't care who goes up. Want Forest to stay down for obvious local derby reasons.
ScouseFox Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Chopra, Bothroyd, Bellamy etc are all quite large cocks. We lost to them last year, and were pretty hard done by. There was all that stuff last year with the money they owed everyone, yet still spent on new players. They're Welsh All petty things, but that's probably why people on here would rather Norwich go up.
Tommeh Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 The welsh issue really doesn't bother me, they're in our league deal with it...And whilst it was a decent little thing we had with them in the play-offs last year, I never saw any mailce against them. Chopra i'll agree on, slimy little toad but apart from that they've not thrown any money around that we haven't, their support at those 2 play-off games was fantastic, held the crowds in this season aswell and would be a real trip for much of the premier league next season. I'd prefer it if Reading went up as they are too pointless for this league, but Cardiff then Swansea and God fvcking forbid Notts Trees go up.
CloudFox Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 They're Welsh is the reason most fans will give. But then what about Swansea? I rarely hear a bad word about them. Heck, I think many would like them to go up this season.
Jimothy Posted 2 May 2011 Posted 2 May 2011 Cardiff are just one of those annoying, niggley teams. A lot of gamesmanship in their play. Rolling around after nothing tackles and committing niggley yet not dangerous fouls to break up the other teams play. Every team will use a little bit of gamesmanship, don't get me wrong, but Cardiff just push it to another level.
