RobHawk Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Great article! The quote from the FSF followed by no qoute from the club really says it all!
Guest Bilo Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Excellent article. At what point will the club finally be shamed into relenting? Great to have the support of the FSF as well. Love Leicester Hate Barclay
stix Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 So my scarves have caused all of this? I apologise. Did you make the fosse boys scarves? I definately think you should send one/ a couple directly to paolo. Surely he would want a better atmosphere and to turn the walkers into a fortress?! If paolo was seen sporting a fosse boys scarf at a game it really would be a smack in the face to the stewards and all those against it at the club. And its not as if they would sack him for it?

bettso Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I've not been about over the weekend so haven't been aware of the Fosse Boys woe. I'd just like to say that the club has disgraced itself if this is true, and has in fact acted illegally by refusing entry to the ground. The walkers stadium is a public arena that is licensed to operate without prejudice. Excluding the Fosse boys for 'making too much noise' in a football stadium has no grounding whatsoever. I am not a member of the Fosse Boys however I will be going to the club personally to speak to Kevin Barclay about this matter over the next couple of days. A true disgrace. Also i'd like to purchase a Fosse Boys scarf to wear to the games in the future. How do I get hold of one?
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 The club are looking more and more ridiculous with every article. It is blindingly obvious that they have dropped a bollock on this. The problem is though whoever has made the decision in the first place will probably be so arrogant that they will not back down.
stix Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I did the design mate, LCFC-ARAB got them made, and we're all out It would suit him, stylish they are, Well i think there would be plenty enough interest in them to get straight back into production. One for me and one for paolo please!

The problem is though whoever has made the decision in the first place will probably be so arrogant that they will not back down. Even if they considered backing down, which I doubt they are between a rock and a hard place, because either way it will make them look stupid. To save face for them a compromise needs to be agreed. This could well mean the Fosse Boys moving to be nearer the other standing fans at the back of the Kop as I believe any move to L/K would be unacceptable to the FB because it seems to me that one of their main aims is not to have a third section of home fans standing, they seem reasonably content to deal with/control just the two.
easilee Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Been doing a little research on football incidents. From reading the reports, most if not all injuries/deaths were caused by :- Hooligans Impatient fans pushing to get into the stadium because the useless clubs had oversold tickets or not delayed kick-off til they were all in. A Cigarette. Police reacting badly, from ordering gates to be re-opened when already over capacity, to firing teargas and causing stampedes both inside and outside stadiums. Poor building or maintainance such as Ibrox 71' when the Rangers fans merely all stood up to leave and railings gave way or Algiers in 82' when a concrete roof collapsed. Nothing there due to a handful of passionate, sensible, respectful football fans in half full grounds standing and clapping. stadium disasters football disasters
Poakey Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Are we going to start replying to this on the merc website?
stix Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Get about 50 more orders and its done ;D Start a thread? Get prices up there and the names will keep coming. I can see it now....30000 fosse boys scarves being waved around ala besiktas and the like. Im down for two so 48 to go!!
C-man Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I don't think the club itself is too worried about the Fosse Boys killing anyone EDIT: Except one person maybe...

davieG Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I might talk to LCFC-ARAB about this. Hmm probably wont like the idea of non-participants having them but it wouldn't half confuse the stewards with people entering different parts of the ground sporting them.
easilee Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I don't think the club itself is too worried about the Fosse Boys killing anyone EDIT: Except one person maybe... You'd hope so. My point is, why are clubs so hell-bent on people sitting down when most if not all incidents were nothing to do with fans standing.

We're suffering from the antics of the 70/80s when the game was inundated with arseholes who thought supporting a team meant kicking the shit out of an opposition fan, Well actually they were just arseholes looking for a fight.
ACF Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Hmm probably wont like the idea of non-participants having them but it wouldn't half confuse the stewards with people entering different parts of the ground sporting them. That's what I was thinking. Also, if heaps of people turned up with one, they can't ban everyone. And would show support for us. Maybe a different design...
mikelcfc Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 put me down for a scarf it seems there still out of stock

Maybe a different design... A cheaper alternative is to make some large pin bagdes with the Fosse Boys design on it. FB supporters could wear them on their jackets.
