Fosse boys to be ejected - time to make a stand

They do know this is football right??

I bet it was a family who complained, or some rejects. If they don't like the kop, which is meant to be noisy, go sit in in the west stand, because no one talks in there. Or better yet, sit in the FAMILY stand which is meant for families.

I'll send an e-mail ;)

Not the first time I've heard the rumour but if it can't be proved, Mark could be in the scheisse.

Probably better it's removed really, can imagine Barclay being the litigious type.

Right, here goes....

The Leicester Mercury have been in touch and want to really pressure the club on this issue of the Fosse Boys being prohibited and entry to the stadium on Saturday being barred. A reporter is going to set-up an account today and get online. She wants to speak to as many of the Fosse Boys that had difficulty attending on Saturday as possible, plus hopefully with the organisers and the battle they have had with the club. She is genuine and sincere. She wants details on treatment by club officials and stewards, quotes from any club employees and for you to describe any events that happened on Saturday. The Mercury genuinely wants to turn the screw on the football club and shame them for their conduct and attitude towards supporters. I am appealling to all Fosse Boys members to PM her and tell her your story from Saturday. Allow her to get the story out and do the Fosse Boys justice. She will introduce herself and put forward what she wants. Please support her.

Hi there,

My name is Laura and I am a reporter at the Leicester Mercury.

I really want to speak to some Fosse Boys about their experience of the match on Saturday.

It could be anonymously if needs be.

It would be great to hear from you as soon as possible.

You can email me at [email protected] or call me on 0116 222 4262. If Im not there then leave me a message with your name and number and I will get back to you tomorrow.

If you could pass this message on to other Fosse Boys then please do :) I tried to post a thread of my own but I dont seem to be allowed to.....

Thanks.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Laura

Honestly believe that the 'Supporters Not Customers' banner will grab enough support from other City fans to give the Fosse Boys an advantage. Bring it to the next couple of games and stand outside the Kop before kick off. A LOT of fans will back the group.

another facebook group as well ? :dunno:

Laura why are you trying to dig up a story where there is none. .I.E. The Fosse Boys ?

Surely There are enough footballing stories currently at the walkers to occupy your paper without trying to look for a story in a non event.

Anyway if you are looking for the leader of The Fosse Boys (Try The Birch) That should also be good for a laugh........:crylaugh:

Email sent. Hope it helps

Laura

Further to your posting on the Foxes Talk website I thought I would drop you a line to give my perspective on the matter.

I should make it clear from the outset that I am not a member of the Fosse Boys and speak merely as a Leicester supporter who used to be a season ticket holder/regular from around 1990 until 2004 or thereabouts. From what I have learned of the club’s actions in the last week or so, I am truly outraged at the apparent bullying of this group of supporters.

If you have the time or inclination, it is worth reading through the Fosse Boys thread on the Foxes Talk site. From the very start, they have outlined their stated aim to improve the atmosphere at the Walkers Stadium with chanting, flag waving and singing and a more “continental” approach to supporting their team. The forum has enabled like minded individuals to come together. It is also fair to say that the groundswell of support you see now was not evident from the start. There were a great deal of skeptics and critics of the Fosse Boys yet all the way through they have accepted the criticism and answered all of the questions put to them by other forum members. They have were they felt necessary modified their approach in an attempt to paint themselves in a positive light to fend of their critics.

A lot of people dismissed them and thought they wouldn’t even get off the ground yet the did and have done so with hard work and dedication. They have had meetings with the club and conceded to the clubs wishes that they would not be permitted to take flagpoles into the stadium.

They have gained support from other clubs including the Secretary of York City FC who have a similar “Ultras” group which works with the blessing of the club. The York Secretary even offered to lobby his counterpart at Leicester on their behalf.

They have also conducted themselves on the forum (sometimes following aggressive or manipulative arguments from others) with great humour and dignity that even some of the fiercest critics are now squarely behind them.

Myself and many others like me were outraged by the communication from the club which apparently told them to stop standing up, despite this going unchallenged elsewhere in the stadium and for attracting complaints from other fans for them being too noisy. The initial reaction of the Fosse Boys was to not attend the next game (against Reading) to give them a chance to re think their strategy yet they have been overwhelmed by support from others not to give in and go to the match and sing even louder.

So the disruptive and bullying actions of the club at this weekend’s game with Reading are as disgraceful as they are baffling – it is difficult to know what the club has to fear from this group which has so far handled itself in an excellent fashion.

So far of course, the club has said nothing of substance officially - I believe the club should be called to account and outline its position clearly with regard to the Fosse Boys.

I admit that I speak not as an expert, not even an attendee at any of the matches concerned and may not even be in possession of the full facts but I do speak as a fan who has seen this group born through hard work and determination with peaceful aims who is disgusted with LCFC’s attempts to crush them. Ironically this action by the club appears only to be drumming up more support for the Fosse Boys.

If there is no story I am sure she will establish that. She is however entitiled to investigate that fact surely.

Every now and then i like to scan the forum looking for pillocks. 'Let's do a bit of pillocking' i cheerily say to myself. I love it.

It's a bit like fishing and is usually quite hard to find a nice size pillock on this quite sensible forum. Normally i would advocate throwing them back and ignoring them until they have grown up a bit,

but every now and then you land a fookin great big tw@t of a pillock that is just begging for the frying pan.

I like to prod and play with these God-awful beasts and find out why they were bullied or who did they bully.

Does it still crave attention from it's mummy pillock.

I really do enjoy an evening Pillocking.

Thank you Ibbosuk you great big tw@tting pillock.

click on the drop down menu in the top right corner (under your user name), go to manage ignored users, Type the name into the box at the bottom, a list of members with that name will appear, click on the name, then click save changes.
