RowlattsFox Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 Preston fan I know rates the guy. Not seen enough of him to know myself.
Wdywd Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 Preston fan I know rates the guy. Not seen enough of him to know myself. He was so unbelievably shit at 'Boro they cancelled their agreement to sign him this summer. He's average, but I really don't think we need him.

David Guiza Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 I don't see how so many people on here judge nearly every player we get linked with when the maximum times most, if not all, Leicester fans could have seen them is 2 games.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 I don't see how so many people on here judge nearly every player we get linked with when the maximum times most, if not all, Leicester fans could have seen them is 2 games. You don't have to have watched players intensively to know whether or not they're any good. Heard alot more bad stuff than good about the guy and for that reason I'd rather we look elsewhere, especially for some of the prices quoted.
David Guiza Posted 27 August 2010 Posted 27 August 2010 Fair enough with some players but it's not just St Ledger it's every player. He's an international for a reason for a fairly decent international side. People on here would have slagged off a 'chelsea reserve' when we signed Muzzy without even seeing them play.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 28 August 2010 Posted 28 August 2010 Thank fuck for that. [/quote Won't last long though.
FOXES NEVER QUIT Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 I to would like to see st ledger at leicester, i'm a city fan living in preston and have seen him play a number of times and do highly rate him as do a number of north end fans. if he did join city i really do think he and hobbs could form a stong partnership at the back. lets face it atm we need a strong natural central defender instead of playing moreno there which clearly aint his best position.
milan_foxes Posted 29 August 2010 Posted 29 August 2010 Would like to see St Ledger and Hobbs at the heart of the defence.
Criggers Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 I'd take any centre back that knows how to position himself properly and can head the ball at the minute.
Leicfox Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 I'd take any centre back that knows how to position himself properly and can head the ball at the minute. Wayne Brown .
Walshy5 Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Wayne Brown . Joking aside and ill probablly get slated for this but i do think we miss him
lcfcjim Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Joking aside and ill probablly get slated for this but i do think we miss him I have to agree with this, a no-nonsense defender, with a bit of experience, not great ability wise, but a good communicator / leader. Something we are lacking a bit of at the moment, as i feel jack hobbs excels under someone like him. Obviously not taking into consideration what happened behind the sences, which we will never know the truth of.

Obviously not taking into consideration what happened behind the sences, which we will never know the truth of. he voted BNP and told the team, so obviously the whole team had a rage at him, which got him sacked and moved to a club where he fits in perfectly, P.N.E!
lou Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 Had a laugh with Sean St Ledger at a petrol station after the Boro win last season (at theirs) he walked past me in his Boro tracksuit so I gave him a bit of good natured stick which he took in great sprits and grinned at me. Probably more due to the fact he was driving a brand new Audi R8 compared to my crappy Astra!
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 30 August 2010 Posted 30 August 2010 People seem to be forgetting that with Forest also involved, I fear we're in second place here - they appear to be the more attractive club to join in recent times. Personally I'd like to see this move come off, a british player for a start (which helps with communication at the back and this seems needed) and a player that given the right pairing would make a strong partnership in a defence.

Hmm I wouldn't say were in 2nd place, how are Forest more a attractive club that us? were both in and around the same area when it comes to the league table. But yeh agree that he would be a good signing. As you say, at least theres no communication barrier if he signed.

We're signing no one. Apparently. Still, deadline day nonsense has us linked to Robbie Keane and Jermaine pennant so far. It's going to be a long day...
