z-layrex Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Three million for him is RIDICULOUS. You wont be saying that when he's banging them in against cov.
Jacnah Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Three million for him is RIDICULOUS. I think it was 'rising to £3m'...so could still be reasonable deal if he needs to score 20+
ramboacdc Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 stringer has given up for the night.........pussy@Ianstringerbbc
Guest shearfox Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Three million for him is RIDICULOUS. Well you have to pay to get quality young players these days...
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Don't get me wrong, Waggy is quality, but I am concerned about the fee. Hopefully it IS related to goals scored, or appearances.
marbelladave Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Wagster will smash them in like no tomorrow! Be strange to have a player that we can't afford to have score too often!
SeCrEt FoX Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 WEALE LAMEY HOBBS MORRISON BERNER GALLAGHER YUKI KING DYER WAGHORN FRYATT Starting 11

JmorsonLCFC Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Don't moan about the price! We sold DJ campbell who, has bags of talent, but no passion for 1.5 Million. And bought waggy, 20 years old, good scoring record, lots of passion and good talent for 3 Million. Good business in my opinion...

Waghorn hasn't got a good scoring record mate, he's still very much unproven and this season will be very interesting to see how he develops. Waghorn is very very raw with lots of potential but that needs to be nurtured and we as fans have to be patient. He could be a potential Zamora or a Joachim.
sdb Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Don't get me wrong, Waggy is quality, but I am concerned about the fee. Hopefully it IS related to goals scored, or appearances. the way i'm making the fee less of an issue in my mind is thinking that someone offered 2.5mill(ish) for him this afternoon, and to guzzump them, we upped to 3mill to secure him. 99% sure that's not what happened but at the end of the day, i'd rather we had Waghorn than 3million burning a hole in our pocket.

Nah he was only joint top goalscorer for a team who finished in the play offs.
Collymore Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Not a good goalscoring record? Yes 13 career goals is not not a good goalscoring record IMO. He's still very much unproven.
Webbo Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I wonder whether Sousa wanted to sign him or Milan bought him to sweeten the fans. Either way I'm not complaining ( apart from the price).
JmorsonLCFC Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Yes 13 career goals is not not a good goalscoring record IMO. He's still very much unproven. Well not really. Same with DJ, he's never done it at championship level.
North-LondonFox Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Just to let you all know a mate of mine just spoke to Jimmy Bullard and he knew nothing about a move to Leicester and was apparently completely a*sewholed when my mate spoke to him. I never thought it'd come off but its good to know it was a load of horse sh!t!!!!!
