Positive thing for me is that there are no real further rumours of Fryatt leaving and other than the Sheff Utd interest in Gallagher and Wellens, these don't seem to be gathering pace. Stringer surely would have mentioned more about players leaving otherwise.

DJ going, hopefully no one else. I would like to see Gallagher start for us, with a four man midfield of Dyer, King, Abi, Gallagher

@IanStringerBBC: David Craig reckons it's gonna go to the wire with that deal!
@James_Fielden: oh dear, good job Waghorn's had his medical and is tapping his feet at The Walkers huh.

Seems that this deal very much hinges on the Gyan one.

What's this Rochina Chap supposed to be like? Couldn't be bothered to watch yet more YouTube clips, I've been burnt once before counting on them.

Arghhh don't wanna lose Waggy at the last moment. Please let this still happen!!!

Would be a joke if Waggy has had his medical and agreed all terms, only for Sunderland to yank him back!!! Would b very unprofessional and can't imagine Waggy would be that happy about it

"Leicester City have announced the signing Yuki Abe after the Japan midfielder was granted a work permit.

The 28-year-old's switch to the Walkers Stadium from Urawa Red Diamonds was sealed just hours before the close of the transfer window at 6pm on Tuesday in England.

Abe, a free-kick specialist, has been capped 49 times by Japan and played in every match of his country's World Cup campaign this summer.

"Leicester City have signed Japanese international Yuki Abe from Urawa Reds," read a statement on the Leicester's official website.

Abe could make his debut in Leicester's first match after the international break at Coventry on 11th September."

I'm really not gonna enjoy the double bill of Fresh Prince tonight if, come 6 o'clock, things haven't gone through.

Got a feeling Steve Bruce is gonna ruin my day.

There is no failure to agree personal terms, it's Rennes niggling over some parts of the deal.

Plus SSN said about 15 minutes ago the deal was being finalised.

If all else fails I'm sure a 4 month loan type deal with a view to signing in January can be agreed.

Only if Sunderland can sign someone after today!!

Deadlines create drama and when you know there is one you can use it to your advantage can't you? Like a last minute winner, feels sweeter?

WTF is he on about now?!

How?
