davieG Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 So with one hour to go and manyl thousands posts, a record number online all that's happened is the announcement of Abe signing which we all knew about anyway. So far a massive anticlimax let's hope the next hour brings some good news but hey this is Leicester City.
Ozwin Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I heard DJ wants to join Blackpool. Probably bs though.
ramboacdc Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 i heard something about waghorn. dunno where though.
Jon25747 Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Did you know that Hobbs took a bat to Sousa's face aswell?!
phillthefox Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 also heard about a bid for williams from swansea...... again prob bs like the dj story
topharry123 Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 5:20 Football Editor: Leicester City striker DJ Campbell has arrived at Blackpool as he prepares to finalise his return to Bloomfield Road after impressing on loan last season. Tuesday August 31, 2010 5:20 Football Editor 5:20 Rob_Parrish: Major news from the North East as Sunderland have broken their transfer record with the £13million signing of Ghana international striker Asamoah Gyan from Rennes on a four-year deal. courtesy of sky sports. With these two stories emerging at the same time, surely the announcement of Waghorn won't be too far off?
Bluefoxtim Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Can't see anything else happening today. Usually get a few whispers in beforehand.
Jon the Hat Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 So with one hour to go and manyl thousands posts, a record number online all that's happened is the announcement of Abe signing which we all knew about anyway. So far a massive anticlimax let's hope the next hour brings some good news but hey this is Leicester City. DJ gone is enough for me!
FrankieADZ Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 well DJ has gone................wouldnt it be nice if we went up and Blackpool went down this season up and down day, the Waggy deal and not knowing much owt else
Criggers Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Well radio Leicester, so prolly stringer as source say DJ still finalising for between 1 and 1.5. Official site says undisclosed. Also saying Waghorn is finalising his move to us. I think 90% of fans will be happy with a DJ for Waghorn swap.
topharry123 Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 DJ for Waggy would be a great deal. DJ looked good in pre season but seems to have a problem with playing for us. Waggy loves the club and the fans love him so for him to come back after we'd all given up hope would be fantastic. I'll be ordering my Waggy shirt as soon as the deal is finalized!
Dylan Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 2 strikers and a defender I thought we were gonna get?
flanimal Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I think Waghorn has unfinished business with Leicester since the last thing he did as a Leicester player was miss that penalty, then have to be carried off a pitch in tears. The man has more to prove.
ramboacdc Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 so we could have still get 2 more players or lose some others according to stringer?
FrankieADZ Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 So, we've got "The Wagster" then but have we managed to signed another 2???
Callabinho Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I think later on we will learn we have signed Zayetta and Rochina
cc_star Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 Disappointed we didn't get a couple of the bigger names we were rumoured to be interested in, but on reflection our league position isn't going to help convince anyone we'll be challenging for top flight football soon, so its no surprise they were non-starters. Pleased to get Waggers, and I'm sure Abe will have a lot to offer but we still lack a midfielder who can get stuck in and take some of the workload off our dodgy defence, well... dodgy since Souza turned up
ramboacdc Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I think later on we will learn we have signed Zayetta and Rochina rochina? link?
leftsideoverhere Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 As things stand, I'd say it's been a good day. The DJ saga finally comes to an end, and he takes his enormous wage demands off to Blackpool to be somebody else's problem. I'll be pleased for Ollie if it works out, but I can't see a happy ending there to be honest. Abe's work permit goes through more smoothly than we feared, and there's a Roy of the Rovers style last-minute return for the hero of last season which will lift everyone at the club - now cue the slow rise up the table before Waggy scores a hat-trick at Forest on 23rd April to secure an automatic promotion spot with three games to go. All the fearful stuff about key players handing in transfer requests will turn out to have been a misunderstanding in translation, as we've not even heard a sniff today about any of them.
themotivator Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 All the fearful stuff about key players handing in transfer requests will turn out to have been a misunderstanding in translation, as we've not even heard a sniff today about any of them. Definitely true. dont think it could have been much more than dudley campbell and maybe Verma. I was saying so all along.
AaronH Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 i think there is gunna be one more twist maybe zayette
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 31 August 2010 Posted 31 August 2010 I think we must come back down to earth, and begin building for next season. We have made two very good signings today, and Sousa has picked well. Two or three quality loan deals, should begin to push us up the table. Come January we will see who, if anyone, needs replacing. Lets not only build a good side, but also build on solid support, even through any bad spells.Next season, will be the big one for me, and those fickle fans need to be patient.
