unreachable Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 Which means you're either biased against the Fosse Boys just for the sakes of it or to cause unrest on the forum or a troll, actually just a troll then. I just post to admire the intellectual rigour of the replies to my posts.
carterfox90 Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 If LCFC were so supportive of getting a better atmosphere, can anyone please explain to me, why N Block (the year MM took over) was open for use as a 'singing section' for any ticket holder, then the season after was made to season ticket holders only? That killed any idea of getting an atmosphere going the other side of the away fans to L Block. Why can't you move the away fans to where SK1 is, and then relocate the L Block ST holders next to the away fans? Meaning the away fans would be sandwhiched in between the former L Block lot and the Kop? That would create an atmosphere too. Get rid of the american idea of playing music after we score. Fans are going to stand at some point throughout the game. What happens when we're attacking the kop end, (say for example dyer has got the ball to the byeline) do you require all fans to stay seated then? What about when we score? Where do you draw the line? I know you said 'persistent' standing, but how is that defined? Is sitting down for 5 mins and then standing up for 5 acceptable? What happens if we were constantly attacking the oppostitions goal all game, we'd be persistantly standing then too? spot on hope the fosse boys keep it up i sit near them & they are a breath of fresh air & create a great atmosphere keep it up lads :appl:
potter3 Posted 1 September 2010 Posted 1 September 2010 unreachable**** will you ever just be content with an answer provided? I think the clue's in the name
Lillehamring Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 That's the point. Is the cost going to be commercially worthwhile to the club? Costs in surveys, professionals and extra construction work. Posting a knee jerk response doesn't do you any credit. a week of you constant pedantry and ceaseless repetition is hardly knee jerk  of course it costs money, but the qupte you put suggests it's almost practically impossible to do, clearly it isn't - malmo are hardly barcelona
Jordan Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 You don't even need temporary terraces for standing, and you certainly don't need to make extensive structural renovations to accommodate it, either (total red herring). But back to this issue: What's most annoying about this isn't the sheer stubbornness of the club or even the hypocrisy, it's the fact that they're prepared to drag the club's name through the mud and be made a laughing stock among every other club when the negative press escalates, as it surely will, for something that is clearly a non issue. If the issue of standing (at the very back of a sparsely populated area) is genuinely more important to the club than the atmosphere, to the point where they insist on maintaining their stance despite the support shown to the Fosse Boys by a relatively large number of our support (i.e. quite a bit bigger than 22), I have to question my support for this club. make no mistake, the club have behaved appallingly towards the FB, and until they treat them the same as all the other standing fans, they will continue to let down and insult supporters of the game This, this, and this. This is a ridiculously stupid battle for the club to pick. Even if the FLA et al. were threatening to slap the club with big fines or something if they didn't crack down on standing fans, they still handled the Reading situation like total dumbasses. I'm sure the Fosse Boys, most other LCFC fans and the FSF aren't the only ones that wish this conflict were handled differently--the club's media and public relations staff might not be too pleased, either. Anyway, in support of the FBs, I've... well, just signed the petition. The subsequent posting of an official comment is devisive trying to undermine their support as I said earlier. It's almost like letting someone by a ticket for a certain area and then just before the match moving them. I sincerely hope when the group arrive at the walkers on Fridy they are all allowed to be in the smae room and not have half of them moved to a meeting room at the other side of the stadium.
ACF Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 I would like to point out just one thing. There have been no badges made, it was an idea, and at the moment, remains so.
fatman L1 Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 I find it hard to underSTAND why the Fosse Boy's are being penalised for standing when the away fans are always standing and unlike at Leeds utd the stewards and senior security staff make no effort to make them sit
James. Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 Has anyone from this forum (i.e. admin/mod) or the Fosse Boys actually contacted the club to find out if this statement is from a club official?
stripeyfox Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 Has anyone from this forum (i.e. admin/mod) or the Fosse Boys actually contacted the club to find out if this statement is from a club official? I don't particularly doubt the authenticity of the statment but don't see how it can be considered as "official" until released by the club to its normal media outlets (eg its own website)

easilee Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 I don't particularly doubt the authenticity of the statment but don't see how it can be considered as "official" until released by the club to its normal media outlets (eg its own website) This. This is an unofficial statement. And the fact they haven't given their name is just plain rude. Who is this statement for, the public at large who have read the Mercury about whats going on, or hundreds of FT members and guests who know much of what happened anyway? How's about sending that statement to the Merc with our version printed beside it.
Jimmy Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67742&view=findpost&p=1676880 didn't someone once sign up claiming to be the (former) chief exec, even used his LCFC.com email on here

James. Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67742&view=findpost&p=1676880 Cheers DG, missed that. That pretty much confirms its authentic I guess. However I would say its pretty unprofessional for the club to be making statements on an internet forum without going through the OS. Then again, my previous experience of "Fanzone" when I tried to organise the Charity Run didn't exactly leave me with a good impression.
Guest Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 Jo Bucci (remember her?). For some strange reason, she didn't seem to like me.

Then again, my previous experience of "Fanzone" when I tried to organise the Charity Run didn't exactly leave me with a good impression. I've never yet come across an email based complaints system that works properly but then again neither do telephone based ones organisations are so inward looking believing they can do no wrong that they never put sufficient resources into them or anyone with any authority to react promptly. Their approach seems to be to ignore the dissatisfied customer or grind them down with vague, patronising or useless information. The only way they ever seem to respond positively is when the media takes up a story.

markbsac Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 right then leicester city...lets have the away fans made to sit down..and not pick on a small minority..this is a form of discrimination...if one group is made to sit down then all groups should be made to sit down "as per the clubs safety regulations"

maddog Posted 2 September 2010 Posted 2 September 2010 Whats the problem with the Fosse Boys standing on the back few rows anyway when they're not in the way of anyone It's totally fooking ludicrous. Why is persistent standing a dangerous anyway, if thats the case why do some of the stewards always stand, they too should sit down!
