LCFCkid Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Do you think Logan deserves a start on Friday for his amazing performance today or do you think it was a one off and we should just get weale back into the side
hackneyfox Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Sounds as if Logan deserves the game But I'd still loan a new goalie, with a view to buy.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Weale, but Logan close behind. As long as Ikeme gets no where near.
Salieri Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Be a travesty if Logan was dropped for Fridays game.
sdb Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 if Logan played well he deserves to stay no 1, but there's no doubt Weale's a better keeper
Guest Mee-9 Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Weale > Logan > Ikeme Shouldn't be dropped, but it'd be nice to have Weale back.
Guest ttfn Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 There is zero debate. People were laying in to Logan just a couple of weeks back. He's not good enough at this level, one good game doesn't change that.
Corky Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 If Logan, as appears, played very well tonight then he should keep his place for the next game.

Guest ttfn Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 He's fine as a back up keeper. Agreed, I probably should have put 'as first choice'.

What kind of message does it convey to him if he plays a blinder, only to be dropped for no reason. I think Weale is the better keeper yes, but Logan, on the back of tonight deserves to retain his place on Friday.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 Logan did fantastic, He used to be our main goalie back with the dreaded craig leveine wasnt he? I Think he deserves to be in goal. He has allready been dropped for non-league ikeme so let him have a shot.

So if King had been left out tonight and the 3 lads who played centre mid played a blinder you'd leave him out again for the next game? I'd agree with you if there wasn't such a huge gap between Weale and Logan.

I'd agree with you if there wasn't such a huge gap between Weale and Logan. King has been very impressive this season whereas Weale has been injured for the majority so it's hard to make those comparisons. I think Wellens and Oakley may be looking over their shouldersthough after what sounded like a solid display by Abe. Competition for places is great and I just think Logan deserves a go, i'm sure Weale will retain his spot when fit however. Players need to be picked on form rather than reputation.
jonw88 Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 So who wasn't playing well in defence? Sounds like Lawrence was getting in past the back four quite a bit, so maybe Lamey is to blame? Don't think he's that good, hope "reborn" Neilson comes back for the next game to tighten it up a bit.
Cobbo Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 If Weale is fully fit, he should play. Commands the area much better than the other clowns. Logan can make a few good saves, but commanding his area is something his albino hamster mother failed to teach him.
Jimmy Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 There is zero debate. People were laying in to Logan just a couple of weeks back. He's not good enough at this level, one good game doesn't change that. people on here were laying into him, on most other sites they support him. Weale is 1st choice so if fully fit he should play, Logan should ask to leave he will never be given a fair chance here now If Weale is fully fit, he should play. From viewing performances of the two, Weale certainly seems more organised around the box.
Jimmy Posted 21 September 2010 Posted 21 September 2010 And what is he shouting? From viewing performances of the two, Weale certainly seems more organised around the box. he seemed to be informing the defenders of what's going on around them, ie players that are free, if they have time etc.
hackneyfox Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Neither of them organise a defence, although Logan bollocked Morrison last night for another of his mistakes. Neither command the box
