Craig Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 ROQUE SANTA CRUZ is on the verge of a sensational move to Sven Goran Eriksson’s Leicester City.Manchester City misfit Santa Cruz is massively out of favour at Eastlands and boss Roberto Mancini will let him go. Eriksson has been told he can spend heavily on new recruits – and Leicester will offer to pay City around £20,000-a-week of Paraguay star Santa Cruz’s wages for the rest of the year. City want to move Santa Cruz on as they reduce numbers ahead of the inevitable round of signings in January. Santa Cruz is aware of Leicester’s interest and open to the idea as it would get him playing and in the shop window. The Paraguayan signed for City after Mark Hughes talked him into following him from Blackburn Rovers. But he has been troubled by injury ever since. Hughes’ Fulham are interested in taking Santa Cruz when the Premier League clubs start their recruiting in January but in the meantime he could drop down to the Championship. Eriksson is looking for five or six new faces to lift Leicester into the play-off picture and his new money men will pay top dollar . The Swede admitted he would love to have David Beckham on loan – as HotLine revealed last week – but that would only be possible if the Foxes were challenging for promotion. The People
purpleronnie Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 When I heard we'll pay his full wages It was ridiculas, never happen, but £20,000 a week is possible. Still be amazed though.

Uncle Monty Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 Unconfirmed rumour is the press are on to the wrong Man City outcast. It's Jo Sven has tied up on loan He's been involved quite a lot this season though hasn't he?
Guest bennytwohats Posted 31 October 2010 Posted 31 October 2010 He's been involved quite a lot this season though hasn't he? Yes, has started some games and Mancini has said he is a part of his plans - or at least that he wanted to give him a proper chance. Another one i can't see happening.
Jimothy Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 This mornings Rumour Mill in the Guardian Mark Hughes could be about to miss out on signing ambling goal ace Roque Santa Cruz for the third time. The City striker could be on his way to Getafe, who have promised to "beat off" Hughes and Sven-Goran Eriksson in order to land the formerly quite good ex-Bayern ace. Sven, at least, is probably up for that.
georgialcfc Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 Hate to say this but "what did i say about Santa cruz ?"

Babylon Posted 1 November 2010 Posted 1 November 2010 Hate to say this but "what did i say about Santa cruz ?" You said he was about to sign, but you said that a month ago and he hasn't... so i'm not really sure what you are gloating about?
