CelebFox Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 As for a big fuss, I think he'll just appear in the dugout almost unoticed, with his usual emotionless demeanour Respect him totally, he did a great job. However, he was paid good money to do so, and he did it. He did walk out on us though, probably more to do with Hoos than MM
Ilkeston_Fox Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 I'll always have huge respect for him, and I'll clap him, welcome him back next week, but when 3pm comes it all ends for 90 minutes, and I hope many other fans join me - None of the nonesense similar to when Hume came back that was cringeworthy. And Pearson did more for us than Hume. Summed up perfectly
phillthefox Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 although i agree and disagree with so much on this thread, we are missing the point, fook pearson altogether as he WAS our manager, and its svens first game and home game we should give him the reception and concentrate on our own team , we are moving on and sven is the future.... SVEN SVEN SVEN GORAN ERIKSSON
Suffolk_fox Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 More importantly - will there be Sven's Meatball Pukka Pies on sale?
phillthefox Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 More importantly - will there be Sven's Meatball Pukka Pies on sale? MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM HOPE SO
ozleicester Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 Anyone who wouldn't give Pearson anything but a warm reception is a complete and utter moron. However, the focus should be on welcoming our new manager of course, and hopefully the start of great things. Driver of the Moron bus is here. He will get a ...meh whilst i sing and cheer for Sven and my Leicester city
Guest Bilo Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 More importantly - will there be Sven's Meatball Pukka Pies on sale? Swedish Meatballs in a Thai Green Curry sauce. OM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM!
tomtom Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 A small polite round of applause for NP in appreciation of his work for us , but a thunderous welcome for Sven and everyone fully getting behind the boys is in order!
MPH Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 Pearson and his team worked hard for this club, they got within a shout of the prem and bought in some good players. He has earnt the right to get a good reception just like anyone else who has served this club and done well. I really hope he gets a good reception from the lads BEFORE the kick off. After the whistle goes, he needs to be forgotten. Onwards and upwards.
Kent Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 I feel pretty much the same as everyone else really. A respectful applause is what he deserves but nothing more, once the whistle goes we'll need to get behind Eriksson and the lads.

All this could change though if NP tries to come out with some anti Leicester statement as mind games in the press days before the game ,but hopefully he won't .
acooling08 Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 There's only one Nigel Pearson A glass bottle will be heading in your direction
Sir Alex Ferguson Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 He should get boo'd within an inch of his life for resigning and walking out. That's right he walked out left you all for a fatter uglier bird in Humderside. But if you want to sell yourself out and clap him for it after his act of major bottling in the play-offs then shame on each and everyone of you. If a man models his look on action man he can't be trusted, and by walking out and bottling it he's demostrated that. You must be taking the piss. He was forced out of Leicester, no-one in their right mind would have left Leicester for Hull at the end of last season. Pearson has been Leicester's best manager since Mickey Adams. He renewed belief and made fans proud to be a supporter of LCFC. Nigel Pearson, should get a fantastic reception a the start of the game. The once the game is underway the fans should focus on the new manager and the current team.
Corky Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 Very well put ! Doubt he will, doesn't really seem the sort to get involved in verbals before games.
HonradaRaposa Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 Boo, coward, boo. Cut his nose off to spite his face and see where it landed him
Ashley Posted 10 October 2010 Posted 10 October 2010 I for one won't boo Pearson however I won't sing his name either. I will be singing Svens name instead and getting behind my Leicester! Come on you blues.
ajthefox Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 I just echoing what has already been said really, I'll be applauding pre-game because he deserves it, but that's as far as it will go.
MPH Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 Boo, coward, boo. Cut his nose off to spite his face and see where it landed him do you actually read ANYTHING on these boards? seriously.... you have to be very dumb to come out with that opinion if you have been on these boards since April. Let me give you a little heads up. BURT and THEBIGJOHNSTEAD both have contacts within the club. take on board what it is they say about matters like these. Everything else is pretty much speculation.....

What were they again "I resigned".
Houdini Logic Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 Boo, coward, boo. Cut his nose off to spite his face and see where it landed him Or a man with morals who won't allow people to shit all over him. You wouldn't understand
Unknown Fox Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 He'll certainly get a round of applause from me what he did for our club, and especially at the time he came in when so many before him came and failed or were pretty much thrown out by MM, but he came and he revived us and for that he deserves a clap, no chanting of his name though, we are leicester sven is our manager, hull are the opponents and nige is their boss, so it seems obvious as soon as we kick off we support our team and our boss, and the opponents manager is simply that.
muzzy1981 Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 I want to see a welcome respectful clap for big Nige and full backing for SVEN and the players, fresh start!!! Get in to em!!
kimsalabim Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 I want to see a welcome respectful clap for big Nige and full backing for SVEN and the players, fresh start!!! Get in to em!! Spot on. Respectful clap before the game, a "Paulo Sousa what a willy puller" chant and then full support for SGE.
